Ease of use: The IC-301 is an intuitive and easy-to-use print controller designed for novice users or print professionals. It has a user-friendly GUI, easy-to-use workspace and comprehensive range of tools that monitor job and print status, track printer resources and control the print process. The tab-based job ticket system allows job parameters to be set swiftly while the pre-defined set of defaults enables novice users to learn fast and professionals to fine-tune job parameters to their requirements. Productive workflow: This controllers highspeed RIP capability and powerful job management features improve overall performance and workflow productivity. A job sent to a virtual printer or hot folder is automatically configured to the pre-set parameters and is instantly ready-to-print. Last-minute corrections can be made to print files without re-RIPing while a special job-editing feature means pre-RIPed files are instantly retrievable for post-processing merging, imposition fine-tuning and page deletion or replacement. The IC-301 also offers a professional imposition tool, easy-to-use automation tools for retaining print defaults and in combination with the bizhub PRO C500 flexible paper-handling and inline finishing capabilities. Personalised printing: Creos comprehensive Variable Information (VI) solution processes even the most complex VI documents with the same speed and efficiency as non-variable print jobs. Jobs can be previewed and colour-corrected on the fly and the IC-301 supports popular authoring tools and all leading industry formats. Excellent colour: Vibrant colour and impressive image quality characterise the IC-301/bizhub PRO C500 configuration no matter whether the colour comes out of the box or is professionally customised via colour management tools for last-minute, on-the-fly colour corrections such as gradation, brightness, contrast and calibration. And there is no need to re-RIP an entire file. Different colour workflows for CMYK- and RBG-source images, a Spot colour editor and off-the-glass or densitometer calibration are just some of the colour highlights. Seamless offset connection: Creos Graphic Arts Port (GAP) enables pre-separated files created for offset to be printed digitally. Since the IC-301 supports file formats such as TIFF, TIFF/IT and CT/LW, offset jobs that need to be printed in a hurry or in small quantities can be redirected to the bizhub PRO C500 digital printer a clear competitive advantage for commercial printers.
