For its "INFRARED" abilities alone its a GREAT CAMERA!.. I bought this camera second hand for about $250 and originally when first introduced. Behind the times While this camera boasts lots of features, and for the most part that is true, it is not easy to use.

I too did lots of research before buying a more capable digital camera. I sold an Olympus C2100UZ to "upgrade" to this camera. To say that I was dissappointed is an understatement. The Olympus is twice the camera.

When i bought my minolta dimage 7 camera it was about 800 pounds and to be honest it is not really worth 800 pounds. How to overcome the flaws of this brilliant camera This review might save you the extra cost (and small benefit) of buying a Dimage 7i or 7Hi!! Worth every penny I have had my new Minolta for just over a Month now, I also use a good 35mm SLR, with 70-210 Zoom.

Interesting: I have not felt that this camera eats batteries as others claim. Picture quality: pixel density, choice of data compression level.

I have been looking for a new Digital Camera and after much deliberation I had decided either on the Fuji Film 6900Z or the Minolta Dimkage 7.

Its finally time to get into the groove. Konica Minolta is very pleased to announce the Printgroove Print-on-Demand Suite (POD). Printgroove POD is a Simple Affordable Automated Production Print Workflow Solution developed by Konica Minolta. Printgroove POD Suite was designed as a modular system to offer your customers the ability to expand as their business and services grow. These components can be purchased separately to target the specific needs of a CRD or a small to medium sized print shop. If purchased as a complete system, Printgroove gives you true end-to-end workflow, from web submission to job fulfillment. When bundled with a bizhub PRO 1050/1050e/1050p, bizhub PRO 920, and bizhub PRO C6500, you get a powerful, true automated production print system that a print shop can afford. Bizhub Pro C5500 connectivity will be available in 2008. Printgroove Modules; Printgroove POD SERVE is the web submission module for the print shops external customers. Not only the job content, but also instructions to interact with other JDF-enabled devices, automatically routing the job through each workflow step from creation to final print production JDF is designed to function as a bridge between the print shops external users, the print shops internal operators and the actual equipment employed. When Konica Minolta supported Bizhub Pro devices are employed, the JDF information is submitted to the device and the end result is the final print production.
Two Webinars have been scheduled for Monday, December 3rd at 9:00am EST and Tuesday, December 4th at 12:00pm EST. These webinars will outline the Printrgroove POD suite of products, from the initial presales process right through to the implementation/integration at the customers location. Attendance information will be recorded at the end of the webinar. The webinar invite has been distributed to all Sales Channels. If you did not receive an email or are having difficulties registering, please do not hesitate to contact me direct. Regional Solutions Integrators, and/or certified Application Specialists will play a key role in all proposals and implementations. A Regional Solutions Integrator and/or certified Application Specialist must be engaged with pre-sales to work with the prospect and create a Business Needs Analysis (BNA) and Statement of Work (SOW). RSIs, have been outfitted with Printgroove on their laptops. This will enable you to offer a live demo to well qualified customers. As these Pre-Sales resources are limited, scheduling in advance is necessary. All BNAs and SOWs must be reviewed and signed off on by the RSI and/or a certified Application Specialist prior to a proposal presentation. If the sales channel elects to prepare the BNA and SOW without the assistance of the Regional Solutions Integrator, the ownership for accuracy will be held by the Application Specialist. Business Needs Analysis (BNA) Statement of Work (SOW) Non-Binding Estimate Software Maintenance & Support Subscription Contract Customer Education (CE) Training To assist you in qualifying potential clients, a Non-Binding Estimate has been created.This form is not mandatory, but can be used before you move forward with a full SOW. The Non-Binding Estimate can be presented to those who just want a price and not waste the valuable time of your Pre-Sales resources. THIS IS NOT A QUOTE! In order to quote your customer, you will need to complete a full discovery and prepare all of the necessary documentation discussed in this bulletin. All Printgroove sales must include an annual Printgroove Software Maintenance and Support Subscription Contract. This will provide the customer with Printgroove patches and MINOR version updates and access to our 1-877-HELPDESK (764-6658) for basic application inquiries only. There is a MANDATORY first year maintenance/support contract for ALL new Printgroove orders. Customer information must be submitted on the Software Maintenance and Support Subscription Contract in order to provide the customer with any updates or patches. Each Module and all of the expansions have maintenance item numbers and MONTHLY prices. This is to accommodate initial orders and add-on orders. For initial orders calculate M&S as follows Quantity 12- #7640003102 = $ If leasing use full lease term Quantity 36/48/60 of item = total cost. Adding onto an existing Printgroove installation is possible. If a customer would like to add modules, users or a service after an initial system has been placed, you will need to follow the same guidelines as a new system. A NEW BNA and SOW are required, however Section 4 1-1 in the BNA requires that the DONGLE number (found on the sticker on the Printgroove server) be supplied. Sales representatives may use the same calculation method for the M&S to make a Co-Terminus END date. For add-on orders calculate M&S as Follows Quantity = # of months remaining from ORIGINAL contract x price -- Quantity 8 -#7640003102 = $ These contracts will be automatically renewed every 12 months without the customers written desire to cancel. However, Marketing will contact the selling dealer or branch 90 days prior to expiration. Specific instructions regarding the Printgroove software Maintenance/support can be found on your price list. This maintenance does not include Konica Minolta onsite support, which will be charged on an as needed basis at a rate of $200.00 SRP per hour.

All Printgroove installations require integration and end-user basic training at a rate of $200.00 SRP per hour. The pricelist provides a guideline based on typical installations; however, each engagement will vary. A thorough SOW will help determine the actual needs of the prospect and the time necessary to implement. The installation of Printgroove will be performed by the RSI and/or the certified Application Specialist. All onsite service by the RSI will be chargeable and coordinated through the Marketing Department. If end user training is required by Konica Minolta Corporate, Professional Service fees will apply. See Printgroove pricing that details this cost structure. Once end user training is complete, the customers signature will be required on the Customer Education Training document. This document provides the guides and must cover points for Basic End User training, as outlined and agreed upon in the SOW. Konica Minolta is not responsible for service or maintenance of the Printgroove DELL server hardware. All server support will be obtained directly from DELL. A three year On Site - Next Day/Next Business Day Replacement Service type 3 contract comes with each server purchase. (Details of this contract can be found on www.mykonicaminolta.ca solutions job submission PrintgGroove) Service/Repair or Maintenance concerns may be addressed directly with DELL by calling DELL Customer Support at 1-800-915-3355. Customers may also purchase an extended service warranty directly from DELL to extend beyond the three year term. Printgroove POD Learntrack Designed for Regional Solutions Integrators, IT Technical Support Specialists and Application Specialists - This learntrack consists of one optional course, three mandatory courses and an exam. It provides an introduction to Printgroove POD, installation procedures for a Printgroove POD server, and the Administration interface used for Printgroove POD.
