Great Toner Had the Kyocera FS-1030D B&W laser for about 3 years now. Printed tens of thousands of sheets and this is only the third toner cartridge.

Good value for money. Quality output. Fast. The paper tray jams. Not very user friendly.

Great value for money, they are long lasting and efficient on use of toner. Updating printer drivers can be difficult in a network environment.

Kyocera has Colour Enabled its black & white Multifunction Devices.

Technology Breakthrough

A colour device that can also print in black is not new, a black & white device that can output colour is. By adding colour to its award winning range of black & white multifunction devices Kyocera has changed the face of document creation forever. Now users can use the same device they create their black & white documents Most importantly because the KM-C2630 was born from black & white, users can be assured productivity they are used to is maintained and virtually no additional training is required. Adding colour to a black & white document is as simple as selecting colour from the driver or the user interface it could not be any easier. to also create documents with a splash of colour or in full brilliant colour.#

Performance without the cost
A core philosophy of Kyocera is driving down the cost of creating a document.
In order to achieve this philosophy Kyocera engineers have developed and employed a number of unique technologies:
Amorphous Silicone Drum - Lasts up to 12 times longer. The KM-C2630 uses an ultra-long life Amorphous Silicone ceramic drum, with a life expectancy of approximately 300,000 A4 pages (up to 12 times the competition). By not having to replace the drum as frequently, Kyocera customers not only save substantial sums of money, they also significantly reduce the impact on the environment.
designed to last 300,000 pages or more, ensuring the first scheduled service visit will coincide with the replacement of the drums.
Reduced labour costs The greatest and most overlooked cost in document creation is labour. Features such as high speed multipage scan to email, free users from labour intensive manual scanning, network faxing allows users to send documents directly from their
Ultra Long Life Components To ensure uptime is maximised perishable componentry has been
desktops, whilst on-line finishers (staplers) can create stapled and folded booklets at high speed.
Kyoceras ultra-long life drum ensures you only change the toners once every 20,000 prints.*

Effortless Connectivity
Connecting to the network and taking control.
Once connected to the network the KM-C2630 comes alive and transforms into a versatile multifunction device that gives the enterprise complete control over its documents. Kyoceras Advanced Network Setup Utilities ensure that initial setup and configuration of the KM-C2630 can be handled with unparalleled ease. Using advanced tools, Network Administrators can set protocols, printing defaults, and preferences,

enable notification services, and apply securitysimply by entering an IP address in any browser interface. Minimal time is required for configuration, allowing Administrators to be free to concentrate on other tasks. KM-NET Viewer allows Network Administrators to monitor all SNMP compliant printing devices on the network, check paper levels, change device defaults, and view meter counts. The ability to set auto reporting, e-mail notifications and alerts also allows administrators to address any issues or problems in real-time.

Printing that Stands Out

The addition of colour makes documents standout from the pack. Just select Colour or Black & White in the driver.
Kyocera believes document creation should be a simple process; user interaction with devices should be intuitive, effective and efficient. This is why Kyocera invested over 2 years researching, developing and testing the industry unique KX driver. The KX driver is compatible with all Kyocera Copier, Printer and Multifunction Devices, regardless of Page Description language or Windows operating system.

Enhanced Multiple Printing System
Outstanding image quality: Gloss control, oil-free fusing and the equivalent of 1,800 dpi: the KM-C2630 produces colour business documents of a remarkable quality.
With the installation of the optional hard disk drive (HD-10), the Enhanced Multiple Printing System (eMPS) functionality becomes available. Quick Copy Recently printed documents can be reprinted directly without needing to be sent over the network. Job Storage Saves data for commonly used documents permanently on the hard disk. Documents can be printed directly from the KM-C2630, again reducing network traffic. Virtual Mailbox Offers each user a convenient, personalised storage space on the hard disk itself, where document data can be stored and called up as required. Private Print Private print jobs are only released for printing after a password is entered at the operation panel. Proof and Hold Enables the first print to be checked for errors before the entire job is printed. Expensive misprints and the associated wastage of toner and paper are effectively prevented.

Professional Image Quality
The KM-C2630 offers Kyoceras

600 DPI MULTIBIT

proven Colour Multi-Bit technology to deliver outstanding levels of image quality. Every pixel can be defined by four bits of data instead of just one.

600 DPI

With the equivalent of 1,800 dpi, text is clearer, shading is finer, and colours are richer. And thanks to the
Finer gradations of colour and shading thanks to Colour Multi-Bit technology
KM-C2630s oil-free fusing technology and gloss control system, you can create colour documents with the level of matt or gloss you desire.

Advanced Digital Copying

With its large, easy-to-use touch panel, the KM-C2630 is an extremely userfriendly departmental multifunction device. Standard with 512MB of copying memory and a 20GB HDD allows for advanced copier functionality. Rotate sort For easier sorting of multi-page documents, use the rotate sort function. Simply load one paper cassette with paper in landscape format, a second in portrait. The KM-C2630 automatically alternates between paper sources and digitally Scan once print many Get faster output from the copier function. The scan once - print many feature scans your original document once and stores the data in the memory. The required number of copies is then printed. This leads to faster results, and minimises the demands on moving components, as the scanner doesnt need to re-scan the original for each identical copy. Job Build Turns complex copy jobs into a simple operation. Users are can copy separate sets of originals each with their own functionality into memory (eg. sect 1 double sided from tray 3, section 2 single sided tray 1) The KM-C2630 rotates the copy image. Output is neatly stacked for fast, easy distribution. combines these sets into a single job and then outputs the complete document. Automatic colour selection (ACS) The KM-C2630 saves you money by using colour only when its required. By analysing the original, ACS calculates which pages require colour and which are pure black & white.

A3 Scanning with Colour

With the additional Scan System C, the KM-C2630 becomes an easy-to-use A3 colour scanner with full network connectivity. The KM-C2630 scans at a speedy 31 A4 ppm in monochrome and 21 ppm in colour, even at a resolution as high as 600 dpi. TIFF, PDF and JPEG: Using any of the standard imaging formats the KM-C2630D lets you scan and manage data quickly and efficiently. Private Print Private print jobs are only released for printing after a password is entered at the operation panel.

VOLUNTARY PRODUCT ACCESSIBILITY TEMPLATE
Section 508 Information The Social Security Administration (SSA) considers accessibility to electronic and information technology a priority for all employees and external customers, including individuals with disabilities. The SSA has established these Electronic and Information Technology Accessibility Requirements (EIT) in order to support its obligations, under Sections 504 and 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, 29 U.S.C. 794 and 794d. This is to ensure the accessibility of its programs and activities to individuals with disabilities, specifically its obligation to acquire accessible electronic and information technology. SSA's Section 508 Requirements Addresses the minimum accessibility requirements EIT must meet in order to be used by all SSA employees and members of the public with disabilities. These requirements are offered to demonstrate the accessibility needs that must be considered when designing and developing EIT for the SSA. SSA's Section 508 Evaluation Template Provides a checklist for evaluating EIT requirements.
