Phenomenon/ Content of change 7 The other than default zone setting does not change from Web Tool. (In case of plural number of zones were set.) Adapted BMP file, which was not printed. Remarks (the details) Web tool setting has not set to OS registry.
The file, which was not printed: - Color table less than 156. - 4 bit BMT file. In this case, JOB end sigh has been sent to controller even job has not finished. Job end flag had been added in order to judge JOB end correctly. This bug has been fixed. Cassette will be selected after comparing paper-wide and image-wide. (Condition of selecting cassette: Paperwide is shorter than image-wide.) Ripping process was changed to use +5mm, when image position is set to Middle This bug has been fixed. DMA transfer Memory has not released (Memory leaking occurs) when the error occurred, due to the processing error under Raster mode. This error has been corrected, and fixed memory leaking.
Printing multi pages. If ripping time of 2nd page is over the first page, only first page is printed and stops printing. (Lest of pages will not be printing out) There is a chance that wrong DNS is resisted. If Host name using DNS check is set to off. Process of Auto paper selection does not work correctly, if Auto source selection is set to OFF. The lines where was drawn on the edge would not be printed, if image position is set to Middle. Using Web tool, paper type mismatch error displayed wrongly like paper size mismatch. Using GDI-driver, printout will be disabling after input error occurs.
Phenomenon/ Content of change 17 In Web Scanning, scan size displays mm instead of Inch. Scan to PC disables if Scanner Delivery Utility was installer to destination PC. In GDI printing, Client PC send canceling information to the controller, however still controller processes print data. Remarks (the details) This bug has been fixed. Mismatch of socket data. Software has been changed to pick up data of Scanner file utility only. Print data was being sent from Client PC even after sending canceling information. Software has been changed to stop sending data from Client PC and sending cancel command to controller, if job was canceling. Default cassette setting was set to option type (Japanese version only), so that mismatch of original and paper size occurs, then minimum magnification 25% was selected. Cassette Selection process has been corrected. Shortage of spool data in HDD occurs. Modification has been changed to extend spool data area. (4GB + NT_E system + 5BG) Processing for releasing line buffer in GDI mode has been added. After modification: When In completed GDI data is sent to the controller, error message (GDI error) will be shown on the panel. (Before: wafting for 60 seconds, then displaying error message) http://<Ip address>/isconfig.dll?showCPU, http://<IP address>/cpuinfo.htm Timeout error had occurred due to overlap then timing when Engine resource is released. Software has been changed that Engine will be released after all pages are printed out. Internal error has occurs while checked scanner status by the controller, when sleeping mode is ON.

When paper size of Filter001 is set to A0 and open print preview, preview image changes to 25% (This malfunction occurs only when using Ver.1.8.8.)
Using 20GB of HDD, when printing more than 200MB of data by RAW mode, print disables. In GDI printing, memory leaking occurs in every cancellation of print job. Software correction, when In completed GDI data is sent to the controller.

CAD Master Controller Update Procedure
1. Check the current System Version of the CAD Master Controller. Print a Printer Configuration Page (Test Page) or use the Web utility "Config" button, "Server" tab.
Download the Controller Software file KM4850_199.EXE. The Firmware will self extract to a default folder C:\4850_Controller_Firmware The update file has the extension of ".tar" (updatekit-v199.tar). Do Not unzip this file. Using a browser (IE 5.5 or greater) enter the address: http://(KM-4850W IP)/update.htm

Example: http://192.168.1.48/update.htm Enter a User Name and Password that has Administrator rights. Follow the instructions on the screen (If asked for a Log-in ID, use Guest, NO Password required). When you have opened the Upload window, simply drag and drop the ".tar" file into it. Refresh the window every 10-15 seconds by hitting the F5 Key until the ".tar" file disappears from the file list. Update is now complete.
Verify the Update by printing another Configuration Page or by checking the Web utility "Config" button, "Server" tab.

Update the Print Driver. Download the Printer Driver filer 4850_PPD. The Files will self extract to a default folder 4850_PPD. Delete the existing Printer from the Printers folder. Install the new Print Driver. Update the KM-Wide TCP/IP Port. Download the Port Utility file 4850_TCPIP_Monitor.exe. The Files will self extract to a default folder 4850_TCPIP_Monitor. Set the Printer Port to LPT1 and click Apply. Delete any current KM-Wide Ports. Install the Port Utility. Note: There is no way to uninstall the older version of the Port Utility. Just reinstall the Port Utility and when asked for confirmation to overwrite, click OK. Add a new KM-Wide Port for the Printer and make sure to set the existing Printer to Print to the new Port, not LPT1. Print a test page. Update the TWAIN Driver. Download the Twain Driver file 4850_Twain.exe. The Files will self extract to a default folder 4850_Twain. Use the Add/Remove Programs from the Control Panel to Uninstall the TWAIN Driver. Reinstall the new TWAIN. Update the KM-Wide Print Utility. Download the Print Utility file 4850_Print Utility.exe. The Files will self extract to a default folder 4850_Print Utility. Use the Add/Remove Programs from the Control Panel to Uninstall the KM-Wide Print Utility. Reinstall the new KM-Wide Print Utility. After Completion of all Updates, test all Functions to confirm operation. Update the Auto CAD Print Driver. Download the Printer Driver file 4850_ADI_HDI.exe. The Files will self extract to a default folder 4850_ADI_HDI. From within Auto CAD, delete the existing ADI_HDI Printer from the Printers folder. Install the new ADI_HDI Print Driver.

Overview

The council's Regulatory Services building control department is responsible for ensuring that all building work is carried out in accordance with building regulations that are designed to ensure the health, safety and welfare of people in and around buildings, fuel and energy conservation and improved access and facilities for disabled people. A central part of the Building Control divisions' activities is the assessment of plans submitted by those wishing to carry out building work in the area. These plans are received in many formats and sizes and in order to create a digital archive of these plans for record purposes, the department requires a wide format scanner, plus a plotting facility with which to print out plans received in electronic format via the online plan submission system.

Challenge:

A central part of the Building Control divisions' activities is the assessment of plans submitted by those wishing to carry out building work in the area. These plans are received in many formats and sizes and need to be digitally archived for record purposes Minimise ongoing costs
Building Control Administrator George Hawkins began looking for a new wide format solution in January 2002 when the lease expired on the previous machine that the department had been using. It was decided to upgrade from the previous model, which was a standalone copier with no network facilities.
