Settings
Once you complete the setup procedure, the Lexibook Universal 4 in 1 remote control will allow you to control the various audio-video devices you have use by pressing the corresponding device key (TV, DVD, SAT or VCR). There are 3 programming methods: the Hot Brand code search, the Manual set-up and the Quick/Automatic programming. Please refer to the code list p.11 and at the end of this manual. Please always try the Hot Brand code search FIRST, then if no code in the list of brands and models matches your device, try the Manual set-up, and only if this one fails, try the Quick/Automatic programming. Warning: program one appliance at a time. For example, start by setting your remote to your TV, then to your DVD player

HOT BRAND LIST
Hot Brand code search
There are 20 of the most popular TV brands and 10 brands for the DVD, VCR and SAT listed in the Hot brand list. If the brand of the device you want to program on the remote control is in the list, you should be able to make the settings quickly. Please follow the instructions below: 1. Select the device you wish to set (ex.: TV). Search your devices brand in the code list attached p.11. There is a different code list for each of the 4 devices which your remote control can be set to. Mark down the corresponding 1-digit code or 2-digit code (for example, if your TV brand is PHILIPS, the correct code is 00, if your VCR brand is SONY, the correct code is 2). 2. Switch on the device you want to control with the remote and aim the remote at the device. - If its a VCR, insert a video tape. - For SAT, select a program. - If its a DVD player, insert a DVD. 3. Press and hold the key of the device for 3 seconds. The LED located on the top part of the remote will turn on and then turn off after 3 seconds. 4. Release the key. The LED lights up again. 5. Use the numeric keys to enter the 1-digit code (VCR, DVD or SAT) or the 2-digit code (TV) applicable for your device. beginning of the code search. 7. Manual set-up
The Manual set-up or direct code entry allows you to enter directly the code number of the device you want to control with the remote. Please follow the instructions below: 1. Select the device you wish to set (ex.: TV). Search your devices brand in the code list attached p.X. There is a different code list for each of the 4 devices which your remote control can be set to. Mark down the corresponding 3-digit code. One brand may have up to 30 codes. You might have to try several of have to repeat the full procedure. 2. Switch on the device you want to control with the remote and aim the remote at the device. - If its a VCR, insert a video tape. - For SAT, select a program. - If its a DVD player, insert a DVD. 3. Press and hold the key of the device for 3 seconds. The LED located on the top part of the remote will turn on and then turn off after 3 seconds. 4. Release the key. The LED lights up again. 5. Press the Power key , then use the numeric keys to enter the 3-digit code applicable for your device.
Automatic (Auto) search
This search should be used only if the Hot brand code search and the Manual set-up have both failed or if the brand or correct model code are not listed in the code list at the end of the instruction manual. corresponding to the selected device. 1. Use the Quick search if you didnt have the time to store the correct code during step 5 of the Auto search. 1. Press the Pause key during the Auto search to enter the Quick search mode. Tips for Auto and Quick search modes

Storing your favourite channels and child lock function
The FavCH key allows you to store your favourite channels or limit the number of channels accessible to your children (child lock function). Noting the programmed code
Once youve programmed the ST400, please always note the 3-digit code(s) operating your device(s). This may be useful if you need to reprogram your remote control in the event of accidental cancellation or when you change used batteries. The channels will be automatically stored when you press the sixth digit or you can also press the FavCH key to end the sequence and save your favourite channels.

Basic volume lock ( punch through ) + CH This feature allows you to use the volume keys ( CH , _ and Mute ) of your last active TV or audio device while in VCR, DVD or SAT/CBL mode without changing to TV or audio mode. For example, you can watch a DVD and control the volume (a TV function) without pressing on the TV key. Note: The volume lock feature is automatic. You can use the volume keys without exiting the current mode. If a device has its own volume keys settings or data (such as some satellite receivers), the volume lock feature will not be activated. Advanced volume control (volume lock) As mentioned above, the volume lock feature is automatic, but you can choose to control the volume of one device through the volume of another device. Example: to control the volume of device 1 (ex. your DVD) through the volume of device 2 (ex. your TV). 1. Press and hold the Mute key, the LED lights up. 2. Without releasing the Mute key, press the DVD key. 3. Without releasing the Mute key, press the TV key.

Transport keys lock This feature allows you to use the Play , Pause , Stop , Record , Previous , Next , Fast forward and Fast rewind keys (transport keys) of your last active VCR, DVD or CD device while watching the TV or a satellite/cable channel without changing to DVD/CD or VCR mode. For example, you can watch the TV and use the transport keys to control your DVD player without pressing the DVD key on the remote control. Note: The transport keys lock feature is automatic. Quick view This feature allows you to quickly browse through the channels without programming them manually. 1. Press and hold the or keys for 3 seconds.
