| Our hopes is that TomTom will pursue software upgrades and addons (voice input adaptability, easier end user updates, announce street names). I purchased this product to use in my buisness travels. I found it fairly simple to operate with most of the options I needed. | |

| Good for an entry level, but not a reliable tool to navigate. Cheap, and easy to setup. Pretty simple to understand and rerouting is very good. Neweggs had a great deal,it came with a bag to keep it in. Ohh and this bag was hooked up, another good deal. A combo deal. So easy to use. | |

| Love this GPS. Very practical for your everyday use. Another successful trip I think this thing is cool, a little quirky but cool and very helpful. Only problem I had was trying to navigate to my bathroom. | |

Non-Registered Non-registered parameter implementation in the 300 allows all public system Parameter Numbers parameters to be controlled. The smaller packet size of these messages, as
compared to equivalent SysEx messages, make non-registered parameters a more efficient means of system data transmission.
Transmission Format
When Auto Mode is set to NREG-PARAM (in Control Mode), changing any public system parameter will transmit a running status MIDI controller message formatted as shown below. Note that Lexicon uses: nrpn MSB messages (63) to send 300 Domain ID nrpn LSM messages (62) to send 300 parameter numbers data entry MSB messages (06) to send coarse parameter values data entry LSB messages (26) to send fine parameter values

The 300 V3.0 factory default state is: Analog In; 48kHz sampling rate.
V3.0 Setups
The 300 is organized into Setups and Effects. Setups are collections of many decisions, including DSP routing (single or split), Input levels, Source, Balances, LFO Rate and Shape, and one (or two) Effects. These decisions are grouped together, named, and stored so they can be called up with a single user action. To simplify the choice among the many possible effect and system routings, the 300 is shipped with 100 Setup Presets. The Setup Presets are organized as follows:
101-150 = Single Setups 201-225 = Dual Mono Setups 301-325 = Cascade Setups
Single Setups
Single Setups unify both Machine A and Machine B into a single DSP engine. All Single Setup Presets are factory loaded with an Effect of the same name. (The Effect number may not be the same.)

Setup Selection
Press SETUP SELECT, then use the Soft knob to select a Setup Preset. When you have found a Preset you want to load, press ENTER. An asterisk (*) in a Preset name indicates that one or more parameters are patched to the Soft knob. Press PAGE UP to display any Soft knob patches made to Setup Effect parameters; press VALUE to show the parameter values.

Press EFFECT EDIT. Press the buttons above or below a parameter label to select it. Turn the Soft knob to increase or decrease the parameter value. Press PAGE DOWN to view additional parameter pages; press EFFECT EDIT to return to the main edit screen. Press VALUE to alternate between a display of parameter names and a display of their values.
Storing your changes
Once you have made changes to an Effect, remember that you must not only store those changes in Effect Edit mode, but also must store the Setup in which the Effect is loaded.
Note: If the 300 Copy Tools function is set to DISABLE, no STORE functions can be performed. This function is enabled in CNTRL mode. (Selection of CNTRL does not interrupt audio operation of the 300.)
From Effect Edit mode, press STORE. Turn the Soft knob to find an available register, then press STORE again.
From Setup Edit mode, press STORE. Turn the Soft knob to find an available register, then press STORE again.
Split Setups
To select a split setup, press SETUP SELECT, use the Soft knob to select a Setup Preset numbered 201-325, then press ENTER. Dual Mono Setups (201225) load one effect into Machine A (left out) and one into Machine B (right out).

Editing Effects in Machine A and Machine B
Press EFFECT EDIT. Press the buttons above or below a parameter label to select it for Soft knob adjustment. Press VALUE to display parameter values. Press MACH to toggle between Machines A and B. STORE your changes as described on the previous page. If you've changed parameters in both machines, you will have to perform a STORE operation for each effect. After the first effect is stored, press MACH and store the other, then store the Setup.
The 300 has many features which are not described here, such as the ability to trigger setup, effect and parameter changes based on a Time code Event List, Dynamic MIDI functions, and more. For complete information on these, and other features, please read the 300 V3.0 Owner's Manual.
