Connecting a set-top box with an HDMI cable
Connect the digital set-top box to H D M I / D V I I N 1, H D M I I N 2, H D M I I N 3 or H D M I I N 4(Except 50PG40**) jack on the TV. Turn on the digital set-top box. (Refer to the owners manual for the digital set-top box.) Select H D M I 1, H D M I 2, H D M I 3 or H D M I 4(Except 50PG40**) input source using the I N P U T button on the remote control.
Connecting with an HDMI to DVI cable
Connect the digital set-top box to H D M I / D V I I N 1 jack on the TV. Connect the audio output of the digital set-top box to the A U D I O I N ( R G B / D V I ) jack on the TV. Turn on the digital set-top box. (Refer to the owners manual for the digital set-top box.) Select H D M I 1 input source using the I N P U T button on the remote control.

DVD SETUP

Connect the video outputs (Y, PB, PR) of the DVD to the C O M P O N E N T I N V I D E O jacks on the TV.

Connect the Euro scart socket of the DVD to the A V 1 Euro scart socket on the TV. Turn on the DVD player, insert a DVD. Select A V 1 input source using the I N P U T button on the remote control. If connected to A V 2 Euro scart socket, select A V 2 input source. Refer to the DVD player's manual for operating instructions.
Any Euro scart cable used must be signal shielded.

This feature is not available in all countries.
Teletext is a free service broadcast by most TV stations which gives up-to-the-minute information on news, weather, television programmes, share prices and many other topics. The teletext decoder of this TV can support the SIMPLE, TOP and FASTEXT systems. SIMPLE (standard teletext) consists of a number of pages which are selected by directly entering the corresponding page number. TOP and FASTEXT are more modern methods allowing quick and easy selection of teletext information.

The video function does not work. Check whether the TV is switched on. A Try another channel. The problem may be with the broadcast. A Is the power cord inserted correctly into the mains? No picture & No sound
Picture appears slowly after switching on

Poor reception on some channels
Station or cable channel experiencing problems, tune to another station. Station signal is weak, reposition the antenna to receive weaker stations. A Check for sources of possible interference.
Lines or streaks in pictures No picture when connecting HDMI
Check antenna (Change the position of the antenna). Check HDMI cable over version 1.3. If the HDMI cables dont support HDMI version 1.3, it can cause flickers or no screen display. In this case use the latest cables that support HDMI version 1.3.
The audio function does not work.
Picture OK & No sound
+ or - button. Press the Sound muted? Press MUTE button. Try another channel. The problem may be with the broadcast. Are the audio cables installed properly? Adjust B a l a n c e in menu option. A change in ambient humidity or temperature may result in an unusual noise when the TV is switched on or off and does not indicate a fault with the TV. Check HDMI cable over version 1.3. Check USB cable over version 2.0.
