| The LG50 series is the least expensive line of LG LCD televisions introduced in 2008 that offer a native 1080p resolution. Having read a significant of reviews I concluded the LG 42LG50FD would suit my technical requirements and suit my wallet of AU$1640. Overall is a good system. The built in DVB tuner is good. Good images Lack of dual antenna 1.3 HDMI, INDICENT RED invisible speakers ok | |

| This is a great tv. Bought this set about 2 months ago. No complaints so far. Displays my Xbox 360 in great 1080p resolution. The War Is Over It appears the flat screen TV technology war is over and LCD has emerged victorious! This is the best 37" LCD I have ever seen in terms of picture. Wonderful picture and good sound quality, even nice picture for Non-HD channnels. We compared several 37 inch LCD HD TVs and narrowed it down to Sony, Panasonic. | |

Secure the wall brackets with the bolts (not provided as parts of the product, must purchase separately) to the wall. Match the height of the bracket that is mounted on the wall to the holes in the product. Ensure the eye-bolts or brackets are tightened securely.
Use a sturdy rope (not provided as parts of the product, must purchase separately) to tie the product. It is safer to tie the rope so it becomes horizontal between the wall and the product.
Use a platform or cabinet strong enough and large enough to support the size and weight of the TV. To use the TV safely make sure that the height of the bracket on the wall and the one on the TV are the same.

MAINTENANCE
Early malfunctions can be prevented. Careful and regular cleaning can extend the amount of time you can enjoy your new TV. Caution: Be sure to turn the power off and unplug the power cord before you begin any cleaning.
Cleaning the Screen
Heres a great way to keep the dust off your screen for a while. Wet a soft cloth in a mixture of lukewarm water and a little fabric softener or dish washing detergent. Wring the cloth until its almost dry, and then use it to wipe the screen. Make sure the excess water is off the screen, and then let it air-dry before you turn on your TV.
Cleaning the Cabinet
To remove dirt or dust, wipe the cabinet with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Please be sure not to use a wet cloth.
Extended Absence
If you expect to leave your TV dormant for a long time (such as a vacation), its a good idea to unplug the power cord to protect against possible damage from lightning or power surges.
