Inverter Technology

With the advancement of inverter technology comes more quiet, economical and powerful air conditioning systems.
What is Inverter Technology?
Inverter technology refers to the compressor within the outdoor unit of the air conditioner. The two most common types of compressors are the fixed speed compressor and the inverter compressor. The fixed speed will run at 100% of its capacity and will stop and start automatically to maintain the desired temperature. An inverter compressor will very its capacity to maintain a consistent temperature.

More Economical

An inverter's capacity will fluctuate in order to match the air conditioning requirements, so an inverter can be more energy efficient than a fixed speed compressor.

With a wider range of temperature modes for heating and cooling, the inverter is able to operate in even the most extreme outdoor temperatures. An inverter compressor can also operate faster than conventional air conditioners thus allowing the air conditioner to reach the set temperature faster and bring you comfort sooner.

When the air conditioner is initially activated to either heat or cool, the compressor will operate at maximum speed to reach the desired temperature quickly. LG's unique Neo Plasma Air Purifying System has been designed to generate fresher and cleaner air. The System is made up of 7 filters which purify the air in 5 stages. Each stage of the filtration acts to reduce odours and fine dusts from the polluted air.

Auto Clean

One of the main causes of odour emitting from an air conditioner is the mould and bacteria that breeds on the heat exchanger. At the push of a button, LGs Auto Clean function dries the moisture on the heat exchanger, reducing the possibility of mould and bacteria breeding inside the air conditioner. Auto Clean only takes a few minutes to complete and will automatically run when you turn your air conditioner off.

1 STEP

Dries the evaporator with gentle low noise air from the fan by removing any remaining moisture. Pressing the Auto Clean button will activate the automatic cleaning function after the cooling operation.

2 STEP

Removes moulds through the Neo Plasma system. The fan will operate to dry the inner part of the air conditioner in just 30 minutes.

Quiet Operation

LG's full face front panel also reduces noise from the evaporator. At the back of the unit there is a double tubing cover which addresses any space problems between the air conditioner and the wall and alleviates any possible noise or vibration. LG's outdoor units are quiet too. The vibration and noise is reduced by a superior fan and motor as well as a 3 layer antinoise mechanism which blocks out the noise from the fan and the motor.

Jet Cool

The Jet cool function allows quick cooling. In this mode, strong, cool air is blown at high speed for 30 minutes, until the room temperature reaches 18C.

Auto Changeover

With reverse cycle models, the air conditioner will switch automatically from cooling to heating modes depending on the set temperature.
The air vanes will automatically adjust according to the mode of operation. In heating mode air will be distributed at a lower angle due to hot air rising. Cooling mode Heating mode

New Chaos Swing

The most comfortable airflow for the human body can be found in nature. LG has applied the scientific Chaos theory to its air conditioners to effectively reproduce a natural breeze. The Chaos technology recreates the flow of natural air by controlling the angle speed and movement of the air vane. It also minimises the temperature difference between high and low areas in the room, creating a more comfortably conditioned environment.
It swings at an angle twice the width than that of the existing Chaos swing, thus minimising the difference in indoor temperatures and allowing air in every corner of the room.

Auto Clean

One of the main causes of odour emitting from an air conditioner is the mould and bacteria that breeds on the heat exchanger. LGs Auto Clean function dries the moisture on the heat exchanger, reducing the possibility of mould and bacteria breeding inside the air conditioner. Auto Clean only takes 30 minutes to complete and will automatically run when you turn your air conditioner off.
Dries the evaporator with gentle low noise air from the fan by removing any remaining moisture. Pressing the Auto Clean button will activate the automatic cleaning function after the cooling operation.
