With a small budget, JK Design needed a Client Image storage solution that could handle the variety of large date les the agency works with every day. LGs N4B2, NAS device with a built-in 6x Blu-ray rewriter, offered advanced data management with data archiving and automatic disc back up features all at a reasonable cost. The Web-based graphic user interface also made installation easy and maintenance has been simple something critical for users who are not IT experts. The N4B2 has also allowed JK Design the ability to have multiple users on different operating systems such as Windows, Linux and Mac, access their les while directly connected to the NAS, or remotely from a network over the Internet. LGs NAS makes it possible to load and share Blu-ray discs, DVDs or CDs among many networked users by creating and storing an image of a disc to create a virtual disc library.

Sophisticated Storage

The hot-swappable and scalable four-bay conguration of the N4B2 allows a multitude of data to be stored in the system without having to delete les to make room for new ones. The units bay card reader and USB port works well on the Client Image server while the Blu-ray drive makes it easier than ever to burn discs for clients for their own long-term storage. Freelance photographers can actually output right to the NAS drives so they dont have to send the agency disks later on saving the company time and money. The N4B2 also automatically downloads data from USB drives, memory cards, digital cameras and mp3 players. This feature saves users time by keeping track of the download history and only saving new les. Overall, JK Design has been impressed with the ability of the N4B2 to handle the demands of the agency.
