Works great Does what it supposed to do. I bought it more for the Netflix feature than the Blu-Ray feature. LG BD 370 - Good basic machine This machine has worked well for us, in particular, the Netflix streaming is very well implemented. Great but you must wire direct. Mine is wired direct to my internet modem. Great for streaming from Netflix and YouTube. Great, easy to use player outstanding pic quality I bought this unit with a LG37LH50 1080 HD tv. Very easy set up using an HD cord, also from Amazon.

I have this player for a couple of months and it work very well, and is much more in quality aspect than Sony (at least in my view).

USB drive has to be formatted as FAT32 so used software called Fat32Formatter 1.0 to format. Plays Divx and MP4 with no issues. I must say that while it worked, I was extremely please with the quality and features of this blu-ray player. Very happy with this product.  Blu-ray picture is very good. Netflix is awesome No wifi support

Types of Playable Discs

Video CD (VCD) (8 cm / 12 cm disc) Audio CD (8 cm / 12 cm disc) In addition, this unit can play a DVDR, DVDRW, SVCD and CD-R or CD-RW that contains audio titles, MP3, WMA, JPEG or DivX files. Notes: Depending on the conditions of the recording equipment or the CD-R/RW (or DVD-RW, DVD+RW) disc itself, some CD-R/RW (or DVD-RW, DVD+RW) discs may not be played on the unit. Do not attach any seal or label to either side (the labeled side or the recorded side) of a disc. Do not use irregularly shaped CDs (e.g., heartshaped or octagonal). It may result in malfunctions.

Regional Code

This unit has a regional code printed on the rear of the unit. This unit can play only DVD discs labelled as the same as the rear of the unit or ALL. Notes on Regional Codes Most DVD discs have a globe with one or more numbers in it clearly visible on the cover. This number must match your DVD players regional code or the disc cannot play. If you try to play a DVD with a different regional code from your player, the message Check Regional Code appears on the TV screen.

Video connection

Connect the MONITOR OUT jack from the DVD/CD Receiver to the VIDEO IN jack on the TV using the video cable (V).
Component Video connection
Connect the COMPONENT VIDEO OUT jacks from the DVD/CD Receiver to the corresponding jacks on the TV using a Y PB PR cable (C). If your television is a high-definition or digital ready television, you may take advantage of the DVD/CD Receivers progressive scan output for the highest video resolution. If your TV does not accept your resolution setting, abnormal picture appears on the screen. Please read owners manual for TV then set the resolution that your TV can accept. Note: The HDMI mode must be set to OFF for VIDEO OUT and Component video connections.

D Connect the USB port of USB Memory (or MP3 player, etc.) to the USB port on the front of the unit. Removing the USB Device from the unit 1. Choose a different function mode or press STOP (x) twice in a row. 2. Remove the USB device from the unit. Notes: Dont extract the USB device while operating. Music files (MP3/WMA), image files (JPEG) and video files can be played. This unit cannot use a USB HUB. Recommended Memory Cards. Compact Flash Card (CFC), Micro Drive (MD), Smart Media Card (SMC), Memory Stick (MS), Secure Digital Card (SD), Multimedia Card (MMC), Memory Stick Pro (MS-Pro) - Compatible with: FAT16, FAT32 - Only use the memory cards recommended. Devices which require additional program installation when you have connected the unit to a computer are not supported. In case of a USB HDD, make sure to connect an auxiliary power cord to the USB HDD for proper operation. Up to four primary partitions of a drive are supported. If there is an extension partition, it will not be supported. If the drive of USB device is two or more, a drive folder is displayed on the screen. If you want to move to the initial menu after you select a folder, press RETURN. Digital cameras and mobile phones are not supported.

Dynamic Range Control (DRC) With the DVD* format, you can hear a programs soundtrack in the most accurate and realistic presentation, thanks to digital audio technology. However, you may wish to compress the dynamic range of the audio output (the difference between the loudest sounds and the quietest ones). Then, you may listen to a movie at a lower volume without losing clarity of sound. Set DRC to On for this effect. *1: Dolby Digital only

4. Press ENTER to confirm your selection. Returns to the previous menu. Speaker selection Select a speaker that you want to adjust. [Front speaker (Front L), Front speaker (Front R), Center Speaker (Center), Subwoofer (SubWoofer), Rear speaker (Rear L), Rear speaker (Rear R)] Note: Certain speaker settings are prohibited by the Dolby Digital licensing agreement.
Set Vocal to On only when a multi-channel karaoke DVD is playing. The karaoke channels on the disc will mix into normal stereo sound.
Since the speaker settings are fixed, you cannot change the settings. Volume Press b / B to adjust the output level of the selected speaker. (-5dB ~ 5dB) Distance If you connected speakers to your DVD/CD Receiver, setting the Distance lets the speakers know how far the sound has to travel to reach your set listening point. This allows the sound from each speaker to reach the listener at the same time. Press b / B to adjust the Distance of the selected speaker. (You cant adjust front / Woofer speakers) Test Press b / B to test the signals of each speaker. Adjust the volume to match the volume of test signals memorized in the system. HD AV Sync

When using Digital TV. Sometimes AV signal could not be transmitted simultaneously because of later transmission of video signal compared to audio signal. Because it takes some time to convert analog video signal to digital one in the Digital TV. And It means that you may not enjoy picture on the screen and sound from speaker at the same time even though it is one scene. In the HD AV Sync menu, you could adjust delay time to audio signal for simultaneous AV signal transmission Delay time could be set up with 10msec unit. (0 ~ 300ms) Delay time is different according to each TV Brand. So you need to adjust optimal delay time complying with your TV.

2. Press v / V to select a folder, and then press ENTER. A list of files in the folder appears. If you are in a file list and want to return to the previous Folder list, use the v / V buttons on the remote control to highlight and press ENTER. 3. If you want to view a particular file, press v / V to highlight a file and press ENTER or PLAY. While viewing a file, you can press STOP to move to the previous menu (JPEG menu). Note:
When viewing a JPEG file, the resolution is changed 480p if the resolution set to 1080i. You can change the resolution for 720p or 480p.
Ensure that all the selected files have the.jpg extensions when copying into the CD layout. If the files have.jpe or.jpeg extensions, please rename them as.jpg file. File names without.jpg extension will not be able to be read by this DVD/CD Receiver. Even though the files are shown as JPEG image files in Windows Explorer.
There are four Slide Speed options : > (Slow), >> (Normal), >>> (Fast) and II (off). Use v /V /b /B to highlight the Speed. Then, use b / B to select the option you want to use and then press ENTER. If you set Speed option to Off, the slide is not active.
Slide Show Use v V b B to highlight the press ENTER. Still Picture 1. Press PAUSE/STEP during the slide show. The DVD/CD Receiver will now go into the PAUSE mode. 2. To return to the slide show, press PLAY or press PAUSE/STEP again. Moving to another File Press SKIP (. or >) once during viewing a picture to advance to the next or previous file. Rotating the picture Press v V b B during showing a picture to rotate the picture clockwise or counter-clockwise.

Using this DVD/CD Receiver you can play DivX disc. 1. Insert a disc and close the tray. The MOVIE menu appears on the TV screen.

DivX disc compatibility with this player is limited as follows: Available resolution size of the DivX file is under 800x600 (W x H) pixel. The file name of the DivX subtitle is available by 45 characters. If there is impossible code to express in the DivX file, it may be displayed as " _ " mark on the display. If the number of the screen frame is over 30 per 1 second, this unit may not operate normally. If the video and audio structure of recorded files are not interleaved, either video or audio is outputted.

2. Press v / V to select a folder and then press ENTER. A list of files in the folder appears. If you are in a file list and want to return to the Folder list, use the v / V buttons on the remote control to highlight and press ENTER. 3. Notice for displaying the Divx subtitle
If the subtitle does not display properly during playback, press and hold S-TITLE for about 3 seconds then press S-TITLE to select another language code until the subtitle is displayed properly Tips: Press MENU to move to the next page. On a CD with MP3/WMA, JPEG and MOVIE file, you can switch MUSIC, PHOTO and MOVIE menu. Press TITLE, and MUSIC, PHOTO and MOVIE word on top of the menu is highlighted. Notes: Be sure to select SUBTITLE ON mode by pressing the subtitle file every time before playing a DivX file. When the subtile has more than two languages in the file, original subtile is only available. You can not adjust sound mode and VIRTUAL sound during the DivX file playing.

Using iPod

You can enjoy playback of your iPod using the supplied remote control. iPod is a trademark of Apple Computer, Inc, registered in the U.S. and other countries. Notes: It works with all iPod models that have a dock connector. Compatibility with your iPod may vary depending on the type of your iPod. Depending on your iPods software version, it may not be possible to control your iPod from the unit. We recommend installing the latest software version. Adjust the volume to a moderate level before you connect your iPod and this unit.

General operation

1. Connect your iPod and the unit with iPod cable. Refer to the page 13. 2. Turn the unit on. Your iPod is automatically turned on. 3. Press iPod on the remote control to enter the iPod mode. The iPod menu appears on the TV screen. The initial screen of iPod menu is the OSD iPod mode. 4. Use v / V and ENTER on the Remote Control to display the list of menu. 5. Press ENTER to play.
Playing the iPod in the Remote iPod mode
You can operate your iPod by using the supplied remote control and controls on your iPod. 1. Press iPod on the Remote Control until IPOD appears in the display window. Note: You can select the Remote iPod mode or OSD iPod mode by pressing repeatedly iPod on the remote control. 2. Use v / V and ENTER on the Remote Control or controls on your iPod to display the list of menu by viewing your iPod. 3. Press ENTER to play. Notes: When you connect the unit and TV to MONITOR IN/OUT, TV screen is turned off temporarily. Connect the MONITOR OUT jack on the rear of the unit to the VIDEO IN jack on the TV using the video cable if you want to view the video or photo file. The images of video or photo files are outputted only when you connect the unit to the MONITOR OUT connector.

Playing the iPod in the OSD iPod mode
You can operate your iPod by controlling OSD menu on the TV screen with the supplied remote control. The controls on your iPod are not operational in the OSD iPod mode. 1. Press iPod on the Remote Control until OSD IPOD appears in the display window. 2. Use v / V and ENTER on the Remote Control to display the list of menu. 3. Press ENTER to play.

When you connect the unit and TV to COMPONENT VIDEO IN/OUT or HDMI IN/OUT in the Remote iPod mode, the screen on the left appears. Connect the unit and TV to MONITOR IN/OUT. When you select the Photos or Videos menu in the OSD iPod mode, the screen on the left appears. Change the unit to the Remote iPod mode.
When you connect the iPod that is not supported on this unit, the screen on the left appears. Music Classifies and plays the files by Playlists, Artists, Albums, Genres, Songs, and Composers. Photos / Videos The video or photo file is not played in the OSD iPod mode. If you want to play the video or photo file, change to the Remote iPod mode. Now Playing Displays and plays the last played music file. If the power of your iPod is insufficient or the iPod is misconnected or unknown device, the screen on the left appears.

DVD Audio Discs

DVD Audio is a new disc format building on the success of DVD to provide high quality, uncompressed, multi-channel audio for a new experience in audio quality. A DVD Audio disc can be identified by the DVD audio logo on the disc jacket or on the disc itself. DVD Audio can provide higher quality stereo than Audio CDs with a sampling rate of up to 192kHz (compared to 44.1kHz for CDs). DVD Audio digital sound can be delivered with up to 24 bits of data (compared to 16 bits for a standard CD). A typical DVD Audio disc contains up to seven times the data capacity of a CD. This additional space is used for music, either Advanced Resolution multichannel sound quality that is closer to the artists master recording or for longer recordings. Many DVD Audio discs contain on-screen text, such as artist biographies, playlists, or lyrics. Some DVD Audio discs contain photo galleries or video clips.

Moving to another GROUP Some DVD Audio discs divide content into different groups. Your player enables you to quickly access different groups during playback via the on-screen display. 1. Press DISPLAY during playback on in stop mode. 4 2. Press 3/4 to select Group icon. 3. Press 1/2 or the numbered buttons (0-9) to select a group number. Note: Sometimes the author of the disc creates hidden content that can only be accessed by entering a password. If the lock icon appears on the TV screen, enter the password (sometimes youll find it on the discs jacket cover or on a web site). This password control isnt dictated by your DVD/CD Receiver it is a function of the disc. Since the authoring of DVD Audio Discs varies, some of the on-screen display choices might not be available for the disc youre playing.
Viewing another PAGE Since DVD Audio discs can hold a lot of content, there are various ways to see whats available on the disc. 1. Press DISPLAY during playback. 4 2. Press 3/4 to select Page icon. 3. Press 1/2 to select a page number. What appears on the screen will vary from disc to disc because the information available depends upon the way the disc was created. Note: Since the authoring of DVD Audio Discs varies, some of the on-screen display choices might not be available for the disc youre playing.
Presetting the Radio Stations
You can preset 50 stations for FM and AM (MW). Before tuning, make sure that you have turned down the volume. 1. Press TUNER on the remote control until FM or AM (MW) appears in the display window. 2. And then every time you press TUNER, FM and AM (MW) changes alternately. 3. Press and hold TUN.(-/+) for about two seconds until the frequency indication starts to change, then release.
Scanning stops when the DVD/CD Receiver tunes in a station.

Listening to the Radio

Preset radio stations in the DVD/CD Receivers memory first (see Presetting radio stations on the left). 1. Press TUNER until FM or AM (MW) appears in the display window.
The last received station is tuned in.
2. Press PRESET (-/+) repeatedly on the remote control to select the preset station you want.
Each time you press the button, the DVD/CD Receiver tunes in one preset station at a time.
3. Adjust the volume by rotating VOLUME on the front panel or by pressing VOLUME + or - on the remote control repeatedly.
4. Press PROG./MEMO. on the remote control.
A preset number will flash in the display window.

To turn off the radio

Press POWER to turn the DVD/CD Receiver off or select another function mode (DVD/CD, AUX, USB).
5. Press PRESET (-/+) on the remote control to select the preset number you want. 6. Press PROG./MEMO. on the remote control again.

The station is stored.

To listen to non-preset radio stations
Use manual or automatic tuning. For manual tuning, press TUN.(-/+) repeatedly. For automatic tuning, press and hold TUN.(-/+) for about two seconds on the front panel.
7. Repeat steps 3 to 6 to store other stations.
To tune in a station with a weak signal
Press TUN.(-/+) repeatedly in step 3 to tune in the station manually.
To select a preset radio station directly
You can use the number buttons on the remote control to select a preset radio station directly. For example, to listen to the preset station 4, press 4 on the remote control. To listen to the preset station 19, press 1 and then 9 (within 3 seconds). For your reference If an FM program is noisy Press MONO/ST. on the front panel to make STEREO disappear in the display window. There will be no stereo effect, but the reception will improve. Press the button again to restore the stereo effect. To improve reception Reorient the supplied antennas.
To clear all the stored stations
Press and hold PROG./MEMO. for about two seconds and ERASE ALL appears in the display window and then press PROG./MEMO. again, the stations are cleared. If you have accidentally entered into the "ERASE ALL" mode and you do not wish to clear the memory, do not press any key. After a few seconds, "ERASE ALL" will go off by itself and change to normal mode. Note: If all stations have already been entered, the FULL message will appear in the display window for a moment and then a preset number will flash. To change the preset number, follow steps 5-6 as above.

Sleep Timer Setting

You can set the DVD/CD Receiver to turn off automatically at a specified time. 1. Press SLEEP to set the desired sleep time.
The SLEEP indicator and the sleep time appears in the display window.

XTS/XTS pro

Each time you press XTS pro the setting changes in the following order. XTS ON NORMAL XTS-P ON. XTS-P ON The unique sound quality of the LG Technology creates the optimum sound for you to play the perfect playback of the original sound and to feel the living sound source. XTS ON When playing a movie with weak bass relative to the general music, it forces sound to the woofer. In the mode of 2 CH BYPASS, It creates the high display effect by playing the sound source via the rear speakers same as the front speakers. Note
The XTS mode is temporarily disabled when changing from 2.1 CH to 5.1 CH and it is enabled when changing it to 2.1 CH.
2. Each time you press SLEEP the setting changes in the following order. SLEEP 10 OFF (No display) Note: You can check the remaining time before the DVD/CD Receiver turns off. Press SLEEP. The remaining time appears in the display window.

Presetting the XM Satellite Radio Stations
You can preset 50 stations for XM. Before tuning, make sure that you have turned down the volume. 1. Press TUNER to select XM band. 2. Use XM CH (-/+) on the Remote Control to select the desired channel. 3. Press PROG/MEMO. on the Remote Control. 4. Press PRESET (-/+) on the Remote Control to select the preset number you want. 5. Press PROG/MEMO. on the Remote Control again.
Category search mode is released below case.
CAT is inputted in Category search mode. No input of PRESET (-/+), XM CH - or XM CH + key

for 15 seconds.

Check the following guide for the possible cause of a problem before contacting service. Symptom No power. The power is on, but the DVD/CD Receiver does not work. No picture. Cause The power cord is disconnected. No disc is inserted. Correction Plug the power cord securely into the wall outlet. Insert a disc. (Check that the DVD or, audio CD indicator in the DVD display is lit.) Select the appropriate video input mode on the TV so the picture from the DVD/CD Receiver appears on the TV screen. Connect the video cable into the jacks securely. Turn on the TV. Select the correct input mode of the audio receiver so you can hear the sound from the DVD/CD Receiver. Connect the audio cable into the jacks securely. Turn on the equipment connected with the audio cable. Replace it with new one. Clean the disc. Insert a disc. (Check that the DVD, or audio CD indicator in the DVD display is lit.) Insert a playable disc. (Check the disc type, colour system and Regional code.) Place the disc with the playback side down. Place the disc on the disc tray correctly inside the guide. Clean the disc. Press the SETUP button to turn off the menu screen. Cancel the Rating function or change the rating level. Clean the disc. Connect the speakers and components securely. Move your TV away from the audio components.
The TV is not set to receive DVD signal output.
The video cable is not connected securely. The connected TV power is turned off. There is no sound or only a very low-level sound is heard. The equipment connected with the audio cable is not set to receive DVD signal output. The audio cables are not connected securely. The power of the equipment connected with the audio cable is turned off. The audio connecting cable is damaged. The playback picture is poor. The disc is dirty.

Preset the stations (page 23).
Point the remote control at the remote sensor of the DVD/CD Receiver. Use the remote control within about 23 ft (7 m). Remove the obstacle.
Replace the batteries with new ones. Press DIMMER on the remote control.
