The product was advertised with the 8 pack of disks, but there was only 1 disk. The zip format is very convenient. I have been using them for years. I used to mail the 100mb disks overseas in just an envelope without a problem.

The zip drive is more flexible then burning files to a CD ( it is not permanent ). The Iomega Zip drive product is one we have used for many years.

I did my research around and until now iomega has this media player that competes with WD player. Need some space to upload my videos I got on a lot of different video cams (old and new).

BMT & ASSOC Pty Ltd have been engaged by the Sustainability Unit of the Department of Planning (Bridge Street Sydney) to conduct costing of various technologies to assist in the development of costing scenarios, for the BASIX Energy 40 target, for the New South Wales Governments Building Sustainability Index. 2.0 Scope of Works
The agreed scope of works includes: Review of documentation provided by the Sustainability Unit in order to determine the likely cost impact. Reporting on the estimated cost impact of the additional BASIX commitment by illustrating: o o The estimated cost of all items specified included in the costing scenarios. The estimated cost of product options that is available in the market place for each specified costing scenario. 3.0 Disclaimer

Preparation for Repair

1) Remove Nose Cone 2) Remove handpiece from air supply 3) Remove Gasket {HHX4HG} Gasket Inspection: Examine gasket for obvious wear, tearing or disfigurement. If any of these conditions exist, replace.
Seperate Body from Backend
Place a strip of Emery Cloth & Leather [TSX007] around the forward edge of the largest diameter of the housing. Using your left hand, grip Emery Cloth & Leather with 6 Pliers [THR062]. Using a 6 Adjustable Wrench [THR080], adjust wrench to match the flats and position on the backend. Rotate in a counter clockwise direction to losen Backend from the Body. Using an 1/8 Punch [TMX004], apply pressure to the Main Drive Gear {LST016} while unscrewing the backend assemly by hand. NOTE: Applying pressure to the Main Drive Gear eases the unthreading of the backend. After the Backend has been unthreaded, use a 1/ 8 Punch [TMX004] to push the Motor Assembly and Gear Reduction Assembly completely out of the Body. Inspection of Motor Housing: Examine Motor Housing for obvious damage/dents to Housing and/ or threads. Check for corrosion. If these conditions exist, replace.

Disassembly of Backend

Using s Small Screwdriver [THR097], remove the Reserving Ring Screw {LST008} by unscrewing in a counter clockwise direction. Using a Dental Pick [THR066] or X-Acto Knife [THR060], remove the O-Ring {LST180} from the Reversing Ring Screw. NOTE: O-Ring is a standard replacement part. Remove the Reversing Ring by first removing the Large O-Ring {LST182}, using a Dental Pick or X-Acto Knife. Then pull the Reversing Ring directly away from the Backend. Lastly, remove the two Large O-Rings {LST182} using the same tool. NOTE: The Large O-Rings are standard replacement parts. Remove the Air Distributor by inserting a Small Screwdriver through the window of the Backend {LST010} into the threaded hole. Then elevate the Air Distributor and remove by hand. NOTE: If the Air Distributor shows resistance it may be necessary to rotate left to right until its lose enough to elevate. Remove O-Ring {LST181} from the bottom of the Air Distributor using a Dental Pick or X-Acto Knife. NOTE: This O-Ring is a standard replacement part. Inspection of the Backend: Examine for obvious damage or corrosion. If either of these conditions exists, replacement is recommended. Inspection of the Reversing Ring: Examine for obvious damage or corrosion. If either condition exists, replace, Inspection of the Reversing Ring Screw: Examine for obvious damage or corrosion. Inspect all threads for excessive wear. Replace if these conditions exist.
Removal of Distributor Plate & Alignment Pin
Grasp Distributor Plate {LST004}with fingers, pulling directly away from the Motor being careful not to distrub the Alignment Pin {LST005}. Using Small Pliers [THR091], remove the alignment pin. Inspection of Alignment Pin: Inspect for obvious damage or corrosion, or if broken or bent. Replace if any of these conditions exist. Inspection of the Distributor Plate: Inspect the Distributor Plate for obvious damage or corrosion. Replace if these conditions exist.
Remove Rear Bearing Carrier
Using a Small Pair of Pliers [THR091], gently grasp the Sun Gear {LST002} then use a Nut Driver [THR083] to remove the Motor nut {LST009}in a counter clockwise direction. Grasp Bearing Carrier with your fingers and pull directly away from the Motor Assembly. Remove the Bearing {LST020} from the Carrier. Place the carrier on the Disassembly Block [THR009], over a hole larger then the bearing. Remove bearing from carrier by gently tapping the bearings inner-race, using a 1/8 Punch. Discard the bearing after removing from the carrier. NOTE: The bearing is a recommended replacement part. Inspection of Bearing Carrier: Inspect for obvious damage. Inspection of Motor Nut: Examine for obvious damage or corrosion. Inspect threads for the same or excessive wear. Replace if any of these conditions exist.
Remove Motor Housing, Blades & Spring
Slowly pull Motor Housing Directly away from the Rotor. NOTE: Blades are under a spring load and will tend to pop out or fall from their location. Use caution not to lose the blades or springs. Blades (set of 5) {LST017} Springs (set of 5) {LST019} Remove each blade from each slot, taking care not to lose or damage springs. Gently remove Rotor Springs with an X-Acto Knife [THR060]. Be careful not to lose the springs. Inspection of Rotor Blades & Springs: Check Rotor Blades for worn grooves, breaks, chips and wear. Inspect Springs for obvious damage, replace if needed. NOTE: Some earlier models did not use springs. If this occurs, disregard any mention of Motor Blade Springs.

Removal of Front Bearing Carrier & Sun Gear
Place Rotor Assembly in Disassembly Block [THR009] leaving the Rotor suspended. Gently tap the middle of the Sun Gear {LST002}using a 1/16 Stub Punch [THR081], completely removing the Sun Gear, Avoider, and Front Bearing Carrier. Remove the Bearing {LST021} from the Carrier. Place the carrier on the Disassembly Block [THR009], over a hole larger then the bearing. Remove bearing from carrier by gently tapping the bearings inner-race, using a 1/8 Punch. NOTE: The bearing is a manditory replacement part. Inspection of the Bearing Carrier: Inspect for grooves or rough finish. Inspection of the Sun Gear Avoider: Inspect for obvious damage or disfigurement. Replace if any of these conditions exist. NOTE: Check both ends of the Rotor for scoring and/or burs. If groove appears on either carrier or Rotor, lap part on 600 grit wet dry sandpaper in a figure eight motion until smooth. To Debur Rotor: Using the Assembly Block, place 600 grit wet & dry sandpaper over the hole closest in size to the Rotor Shaft. Then push the Rotor Shaft through the sandpaper and rotate until smooth.
Disassembly of the Gear Reduction Assembly
Using your fingers, grasp the Ring Gear {LST001} and pull directly away from the Output Shaft Assembly exposing the three Idler Gears. Remove the 3 Idler Gears {LST003} by pulling directly from the three Gear Posts. Place the Output Shaft Assembly in the Disassembly Block [THR009], resting on the Bearing suspending the Output Shaft through the Block. Use the 1/8 Punch [TMX004] and carefully tap the Output Shaft through the Sun Gear Reduction Plate and Bearing. NOTE: The Bearing {LST022} is a standard replacement part. Place the Gear Reduction Plate into the Disassembly Block suspending the three Gear Posts within the Block. Use a 1/16 Punch [TMX003] and carefully tap each pin out of the Reduction Plate. Remove the Main Drive Gear {LST016} by placing the locking pin over a hole in the Disassembly Block. Use the Locking Pin Punch [THR082] and carefully tap the Locking Pin through the Main Drive Gear until it is completely removed. Then grasp the Main Drive Gear with your fingers and pull directly away from the Output Shaft. Inspection of the Output Shaft: Examine for obvious damage or corrosion. Inspect through hole for excessive wear. Replace if any of these conditions exist. Inspection of the Main Drive Gear: Examine for obvious damage or corrosion. Inspect gear teeth, internal diameter and through hole for damager or excessive wear. Replace if any of these conditions exist.

Disassembly of the Gear Reduction Assembly (continued)
Inspection of the Locking Pin: Examine for obvious damage, corrosion or excessive wear. Replace if any of these conditions exist. Inspection of the Gear Posts: Examine for obvious damage or corrosion. Inspect for bends, disfigurement or excessive wear. Replace if any of these conditions exist. Inspection of the Reduction Plate: Examine for obvious damage or corrosion. Inspect all through hole for disfigurement or excessive wear. Replace if any of these conditions exist. Inspection of the Ring Gear: Examine for obvious damage or corrosion. Inspect gear teeth for damage or excessive wear. Replace if any of these conditions exist.
Reassembly of the Gear Reduction Assembly
Using a Small Pair of Pliers [THR091], gently grasp the Locking Pin and carefully engage pin into the Main Drive Gear through hole. NOTE: Do not expose the Pin in internal diameter. Then place the Main Drive Gear over the small diameter of the Output Shaft {LST006}and align though holes, set pin completely in place using the Assembly Block [THR009] and Arbor Press [THR003]. Install the three Gear Posts into the Gear Reduction Plate using the Arbor Press and Assembly Block. Place the Bearing {LST022} onto the Output Shaft and support the Bearing on the Assembly Block by the Bearings inner race. Use the Arbor Press to gently press into place. Place the Gear Reduction Plate with the Gear Posts suspended though the Assembly Block, then carefully press the Output Shaft Assembly into the Gear Reduction Plate. Reinstall the three Idler Gears onto the three Gear Posts. Then install the Ring Gear over the Idler Gears ensuring proper alignment of the Gear teeth. Lastly, liberaly coat the Idler Gears with grease.
Installation of Front Bearing
Set the Bearing {LST021} into the Front Bearing Carrier. Gently press the Bearing into the Carrier using the Arbor Press [THR003].
Install Front Bearing Carrier Assembly to Rotor
Seat Insert [THR085] over the Bearing in the Bearing Carrier, then place the Bearing Carrier, insert down, onto the Assembly Block [THR009]. Install the Rotor, non threaded end down, into the Bearing. Using the Arbor Press [THR003], gently press the Rotor into the Bearing about 1/2 way down - do not make full contact. Insert a.002 Shim [THR084] between the Rotor & Bearing Carrier, then continue to press until contact is made. NOTE: Do not over press (torque). Remove the Shim and make sure that the Bearing Carrier spins freely. If not, disassemble & repeat step.

Install Bearing into Rear Bearing Carrier
Set Bearing {LST020} into Rear Bearing Carrier. Gently press Bearing into place, the Arbor Press is not required.
Install Rear Bearing Carrier onto Rotor Assembly
Install the Rear Bearing Carrier onto the exposed Rotor Shaft, bearing facing out. Install the Motor Nut {LST009}onto the Rotor. Use a Small Pair of Pliers [THR091] to gently grasp the Sun Gear {LST002} NOTE: Using excessive force while grasping the Sun Gear with the pliers will cause damage to the Sun Gear teeth. Extreme caution is suggested. Using the Nut Driver [THR083], tighten the Motor Nut {LST009}in a clockwise direction until just snug and then back nut off 1/8 th turn. Motor should rotate without restriction and the Motor Housing should move freely between the Bearing Carriers.

Install Main Drive Gear

Place the Rotor Assembly into the Assembly Block [THR003]. NOTE: Do not rest on the Bearing Carrier. Install the Avoider over the Rotor Shaft. Then place the Sun Gear {LST002} over the front of the Rotor and, using the Arbor Press [THR003], gently press into place. NOTE: The Sun Gear should be pressed flush with the top of the Rotor Shaft.
Install Rotor Blades, Springs & Housing
Using a Small Screwdriver [THR097] or Xacto-Knife [THR060], apply grease [TPX010] to the tip then touch the Spring (the grease acts as an adhesive during installation). Install Spring into Spring Hole on Rotor. Place the Rotor Blades {LST017}into the slots on the Rotor, smaller beveled edges down. As the Blades are placed into the slots it will be necessary to use fingers to help keep them in place. Then slide the Motor Housing (non ported side first) over the Assembly into place. NOTE: Earlier models did not use springs. If this occurs, disregard any mention of Motor Blade Springs.

Reassemble the Backend

Install the Large O-Rings into the Lower O-Ring Groove. Grease the Air Distributor O-Ring {LST181} and place onto the bottom of the Air Distributor. Then insert the Air Distributor into the Backend O-Ring side first, taking care to align the threaded hole with the window in the Backend and not to dislodge O-Ring from its seat. Lightly coat the two Large O-Rings {LST182} with grease and install the Reversing Ring over the two Large O-Rings {LST182}. Align the hole in the Reversing Ring with the threaded hole in the Air Distributor. Install an O-Ring {LST180} into the O-Ring Groove of the Reversing Ring Screw and lightly grease the ORing. Then install the screw into the Backend Assembly. Using a Small Screwdriver [THR097], tighten the screw in a clockwise direction until secure. Lastly, install the third Large O-Ring {LST182}.

Install Alignment Pin & Distributor Plate
Install the Alignment Pin {LST005}into the hole noted in the picture. Then, install the Distributor Plate {LST004} over the Alignment Pin. NOTE: The Plate can only be installed one direction. When installed properly, Distributor Plate should rest flat against the Assembly.
Install the Motor Assembly & Backend to Body
Set the Alignment Pin into the Alignment Hole on the Backend (SEE PICTURE). In a vertical position, slide the Body down over the Motor until the threads make contact with it, then gently screw down in a clockwise direction until hand tight. NOTE: If resistance is met, use a 1/8 Punch [TMX004] to apply pressure while threading into place. This will help ease the installation of the Motor. Do not force the Backend in place - damage may result. Use 6 Pliers [THR062] with Emery Cloth and Leather [TSX007] on the front of the Body and use a 6 Adjustable Wrench [THR080] on the Backend to completely tighten the Backend to the Body.
Reinstall Gasket & Test
1) Reinstall Gasket {HHX4HG} 2) Test Handpiece

N O T E

Special Note
The stainless steel nosecone attachment retainer is removable. It is not always necessary to remove during repair. If it becomes necessary to remove, DO NOT REMOVE MOTOR ASSEMBLY FROM THE BODY, grip the stainless steel nosecone attachment retainer and Body using 6 Pliers and Leather & Emery Cloth. Position grip over the small diameter of the nosecone attachment AND in the center of the Body. USE EXTREME CAUTION WHEN GRIPING THE BODY. The Body is manufactured from aluminum and it will deform easily. NEVER GRIP THE BODY WITHOUT MOTOR HOUSING INSTALLED.
