LGs new range of air conditioning split systems feature an unrestricted air flow which helps make the indoor units much quieter, at only 20dB (A) whilst in sleep mode. Inverter Technology

The advancement of the inverter technology creates more quiet, economical and powerful air conditioning systems.
What is Inverter Technology?
Inverter technology refers to the compressor within the outdoor unit of the air conditioner. The two most common types of compressors are the fixed speed compressor and the inverter compressor. The fixed speed will run at 100% of its capacity and will stop and start automatically in order to maintain the desired temperature. An inverter compressor will vary its capacity in order to maintain a consistent temperature.

Each LG Air conditioner has been designed with the latest technologies to ensure optimum comfort. Advancements in inverter technology have helped our air conditioners to become more efficient. LGs Plasma Air Purifying system helps to remove dust, allergens and odours from your home environment.
With a wider range of temperature modes for heating and cooling, the inverter is able to operate in even the most extreme outdoor temperatures. An inverter compressor can also operate faster than conventional air conditioners thus allowing the air conditioner to reach the set temperature faster and bringing you comfort sooner.

An inverter's capacity will fluctuate in order to match the air conditioning requirements, so an inverter can be more energy efficient than a fixed speed compressor, as it does not stop and start its motor continually.

When the air conditioner is initially activated to either heat or cool, the compressor will operate at maximum speed to reach the desired temperature quickly. Once the desired temperature is achieved, unlike conventional air conditioners that turn the compressor on and off, LGs inverter units adjust and constantly vary the compressor speed to maintain the desired temperature with minimal fluctuation to ensure that your comfort is not compromised.

Auto Clean

One of the main causes of odour emitting from an air conditioner is the mould and bacteria that breeds on the heat exchanger. LGs Auto Clean function dries the moisture on the heat exchanger, reducing the possibility of mould and bacteria breeding inside the air conditioner. Auto Clean only takes 30 minutes to complete and will automatically run when you turn your air conditioner off.
Dries the evaporator with gentle low noise air from the fan by removing any remaining moisture. Pressing the Auto Clean button will activate the automatic cleaning function after the cooling operation.

Step-up Inverter by the PFC & the Sine Wave Control Technology (PFC : Power Factor Correction)
The LG air conditioner is manufactured using the PFC and the sine wave technology. By the PFC contorl, raising the operating voltage from the existing DC 280V to DC 380V can be done. Thereby, it makes the operation smooth in a high-frequency area. The sine wave control enables soft operation in a low frequency area, thereby expanding the product's operating range. significantly reduced resulting in minimal energy loss, which markedly improves the products energy efficiency.

Powerful BLDC Compressor

The LG inverter air conditioner comes with a BLDC compressor that uses a strong neodymium magnet. Its compressor thus has improved efficiency compared with AC inverter. Notably, during partial-load operation (30-45 Hz), the efficiency of the compressor motor of the LG inverter air conditioner increases, as opposed to the existing AC motors, and the subcooling effects of the bigger condensor will further increase the product's energy consumption efficiency.

BLDC Fan Motor

BLDC fan motor offers additional energy saving in operating mode. Compared with AC motors, BLDC fan motor can cut energy by up to 35% at full speed. AC motor is operating at full speed only, but BLDC Motor can change speed according to load. Energy efficiency levels at low speed in particular have been improved by 65%.

Extra high ceiling mode

Depending on the height of the installation, LG air conditioners allow you to vary the speed of the indoor fan motor. When installation is low, the RPM can be reduced but it can be increased when the installation is high to ensure optimum comfort levels. The speed can be adjusted via the slide switch on the back of the LCD wired remote.

Drain Pump

An auxiliary condensate drain pump is available as an option for all LG ducted indoor units. This is an ideal solution where drain fall is limited or unavailable. This will lift water up to a 700mm height above the drain outlet.
