| I use a 58mm 500D lens a lot to take pictures of insects. This is a good camera and But it cant use rechargeable batteries..So i have to keep using replaceable ones gets expensive. | |

| Very nice camera. It is small and has a good amount of features for a novice photographer like me. S5 IS is an excellent trawel companion and a capable tool for documentary photography. | |

| I am trying to figure out how to record movies with this camera. Lcd screen does not work. I talked to Canon service dept and they just said it was out of warranty. I paid over $500. | |

| S5 Used it for a year dropped it and flash is not working now otherwise camera is working. Now got SX1 far better than this one. | |

| Great picture quality and easy to use. Way more options than I am willing to attempt right now. The auto setting does a great job. Excellent features and picture quality. Excellent for novice or pro if you want great pictures and advanced manual settings. | |
