The purpose of this addendum is to clarify certain portions of the above-referenced project with all prospective Bidders. CLARIFICATION: Revised Bid Form attached in a separate excel file. (TU-1042 AV Bid Form R1.xls) Bid Due Date has been changed to March 4, 2010, 2:00 PM, Room 408. QUESTIONS: Q1. Specifically, there are two Extron items listed, the Extron Cable Cubby 800 and The Extron TLP 350. There are different versions of both of these items, depending on the finish that is selected, and there is a significant difference in pricing, depending on which finish is selected. Does the University want a Black Anodized surface or a Brushed Aluminum finish? A1. Black Anodized surface.
Q2. There are several pieces of equipment that are closeout items or have been discontinued. Please clarify how substitutions for this discontinued and end-of-life equipment are to be entered into spreadsheet since it cannot be altered. List of equipment: a. Kramer VP-222 (closeout item) b. Q4. The Altinex model # SQ46361A cannot be found. Please clarify whether this is a quote or a model number. If it is a quote that we would not have access to, please clarify what connectors are needed on the TiltnPlug device. A4. This is a custom device. Please include: two (2) AC outlets, USB 2.0, RCA, VGA with audio, Cat 5e Q5. Wiring Diagram Section IV Cabling F (page 10 of 16) What format do you want the cabling diagram? A PDF file that Towson University may open, read and print.
Q6. Will existing source code for both the Extron Systems and the Crestron Systems be provided to the awarded vendor? A6. The existing source code will be made available to the awarded vendor.
Q7. If our vendor agreement with a Manufacturer precludes us from selling a competitors product, specifically the interactive products requested on the bid, can we leave the item as a no bid item or will the bid then be tossed? A7. The Promethean Interactive Whiteboard will be provided by TU as owner furnished equipment and is deleted from the Bid Form. All items on the revised Bid Form must be bid. Q8. The NEC flat panels listed are being discontinued. Please note they will no longer be offering a 57 flat panel. LCD5220-AV & AVT - 52 monitor will transition into the P521 & P521-AVT 52 monitor in March 2010 LCD5710-2-AV - 57 monitor will transition into the P551 & P551-AVT - 55 monitor in late May/ June 2010 A8. The Manufacturers substitutions are acceptable and the Bid Form has been changed. Q9. The Kramer VP200N and VP222 are both being phased out and replaced with units with broader Bandwidth. The new models are VP200K and VP222K. A9. The Manufacturers substitutions are acceptable and the Bid Form has been changed. Q10. The LG V194H has been discontinued. The suggested replacement is the LG RC897T. This also has the ability to record on the DVD side. A10. The Manufacturers substitutions are acceptable and the Bid Form has been changed.

Q11. The Peerless PRS-UNV is listed on the equipment form. The PRG-UNV enables better precision when aligning the projector image to the screen. It is an upgraded model. I am requesting authorization for the substitute. A11. The Bid Form has been changed. PRS-UNV has been replaced with PRG-UNV. Q12. Epson PowerLite ProZ8000 WU This projector comes without a lens, there are several different versions of lenses, which must be specified separately. The most common configuration is with the Standard lens. Is there a specific lens required? A12. The standard lens.
Q13. The Altinex Tilt n Pop there are several different versions, with different configurations. Can you provide a more specific model number or description? A13. This is a custom device. Please include: two (2) AC outlets, USB 2.0, RCA, VGA with audio, Cat 5e

Q16. Sony model BDP350 has been superseded for some time. The current model is BDPS560, ok to change? A16. Yes, the Bid Form has been changed.
Q17. The Crestron TPS-12L has been discontinued. The recommended replacement is the V12-WALL. Will Towson University accept this as a suitable replacement? A17. Yes, it is acceptable and the Bid Form has been changed.
Q18. On the parts list, the Da-Lite 54 X 96 Cosmopolitan Electrol screen is listed as part # 92470. The correct part # for a 54 x 96 Cosmopolitan Electrol screen is 94270. Please confirm. A18. Yes, you are correct. The correct part # is 94270.
Q19. The Belkin F1DS104T KVM switch has been discontinued. The recommended replacement is the Belkin F1DS104J. Will Towson University accept this as a suitable replacement? A19. Yes, it is acceptable and the Bid Form has been changed.
Q20. The LG-V194H VHS/DVD player has been discontinued. The industry no longer manufactures analog DVD/VHS players. Can this be removed from the bid? A20. The LG RC897T has been substituted.
Q21. Sony BDP-S350 has been discontinued. Will Towson University accept the Panasonic DMP-BD60K as a substitute? A21. The Sony BDP-S560 replaces the BDP-S350 on the Bid Form. We will

accept the Panasonic DMP-BD6OK as an alternate. Please indicate on the Bid Form if quoting the approved alternate. All addenda will be incorporated into the final contract documents and will be binding on all vendors responding to this solicitation.
