Connecting By keeping the handlebar steered leftwards, thoroughly insert the key, rotating it then anti-clockwise (F. 10). Disconnecting Rotate the key clockwise.

Verificare il corretto fissaggio e mobilit del cavalletto laterale ed il corretto ancoraggio delle molle (1 - 2). Verificare inoltre il corretto funzionamento del microinterruttore (A - F. 11) che deve impedire lavviamento del motore, quando il cavalletto laterale non in posizione di riposo (in alto). Non rimuovere o manomettere per nessuna ragione, questo dispositivo di sicurezza.
SEITLICHER STNDER:
Die ordnungsgeme Befestigung und Beweglichkeit des seitlichen Stnders und der Verankerung der Federn prfen (1 - 2). Auerdem die korrekte Funktionsweise des Mikroschalters (A - Abb. 11) berprfen, der dazu dient das Anlassen des Motors zu verhindern, falls der seitliche Stnder nicht in Ruhestellung (nach oben) positioniert ist. Entfernen oder verndern Sie aus keinem Grund diese Sicherheitsvorrichtung!
SIDE STAND:
Check the correct fastening and mobility of the side stand and the correct anchoring of the springs (1 - 2). Then check the correct working of the micro-switch (A - F. 11), which has to inhibit the engine starting when the side stand is not in its resting position (lifted).
ACEITE MOTOR
CONTROL Colocar el vehculo a motor en posicin perfectamente vertical sobre el soporte central, poner el motor en marcha y dejar que se caliente. Parar seguidamente el motor y esperar algunos minutos hasta que el aceite se estabilize. Desatornillar y quitar el tapn provisto de varilla de medicin (A). Limpiar la varilla e introducirla nuevamente en el asiento, sin enroscarla. Extraer la varilla verificando el nivel de aceite. El nivel ptimo est comprendido entre los ndices de nivel MIN. y MAX. En caso de que el nivel resulte inferior, rellenar con aceite: Q8 CLASS 10W-40.
Note: when you check the oil level, make sure that the vehicle is upright. A slight lateral tilting may cause an incorrect value to be indicated.
OIL CHANGE Note: oil change has to be carried out when the engine is already warm. Place an adequate container underneath the engine. Remove the control rod (A - F. 19). Unscrew with care the oil drain plug (B - F. 20) and remove it (be careful not to get scalded). Leave that the oil flows out completely. Clean the wire gauze (1 - F. 21) with the adequate solvent. Check the state of the lining (3 F. 21) and change it if necessary. Replace the lining (3), the spring (2 - F. 21) and the wire gauze (1). Tighten the oil drain plug unit (B F. 20) and fasten it to the appointed torque wrench setting. Supply engine with the following oil: Q8 CLASS 10W - 40 (max. quantity 1.4 l. - Oil quantity for periodical change: max 1.2 litres.). Screw again the control rod (A - F. 19). Dispose of the exhausted oil in full compliance with the regulations in force. Start the engine. Leave that it gets warm and then stop it by checking again the oil level and be sure of the total absence of oil leakages.
Note: lors du contrle du niveau dhuile, sassurer que la moto est en position verticale; une lgre inclinaison latrale peut fournir des valeurs errones. VIDANGE Note : la substitution de lhuile doit tre faite quand le moteur est chaud. Placer un rcipient adquat sous le moteur. Extraire la jauge (A - F. 19). Dvisser avec soin le bouchon de vidange (B - F. 20) et lenlever (attention aux brlures). Laisser couler toute lhuile. Nettoyer la grille (1 - F. 21) laide dun solvant prvu cet effet. Contrler ltat du joint (3 - F. 21) et le changer si besoin est. Remettre en place le joint (3), le ressort (2 - F. 21) et la grille (1). Visser le groupe bouchon de vidange (B - F. 20) et le serrer suivant le couple indiqu. Ravitailler le moteur en huile : Q8 CLASS 10w - 40 (quantit max. 1.4l - Quantit dhuile pour vidange priodique, max: 1.2 L.). Revisser la jauge (A - F. 19). Eliminer lhuile use conformment aux Rglementations en vigueur. Allumer le moteur. Le laisser tourner puis lteindre en vrifiant de nouveau le niveau et labsence totale de fuites dhuile.
HANDLEBAR COVER REMOVAL
REAR Position the motorbike on its main stand. Unscrew the screws (V3) and remove the rear handlebar cover (A - F. 13), by lifting it. FRONT Unscrew the screws (V4) and extract the front handlebar cover (B - F. 14). Note: during these operations, pay the utmost attention not to slip off the three metal threaded plaques (C).
DEPOSE DU PROTEGE-GUIDON
ARRIERE Positionner le scooter sur la bquille centrale. Dvisser les vis (V3) et enlever le protge-guidon arrire (A - F. 13) en le soulevant. AVANT Dvisser les vis (V4) et extraire le protge-guidon avant (B - F. 14). Note : pendant ces oprations, faire trs attention ne pas enlever les trois plaquettes en mtal filetes (C).
DESMONTAJE PROTECTOR DE MANILLAR
TRASERO Colocar el scooter sobre el caballete central. Aflojar los tornillos (V3) y extraer el protector de manillar trasero (A - F. 13), levantndolo. DELANTERO Aflojar los tornillos (V4) y extraer el protector de manillar delantero (B - F. 14). Nota: durante estas operaciones tener cuidado con no extraer las tres placas metlicas roscadas (C).

RIMOZIONE SCUDO

ABMONTIEREN DES FRONTSCHUTZPLATTES
Hinweis: Um die Frontschutzplatte abzumontieren, mssen zuerst die folgenden Bestandteile abmontiert werden: - zentrale Frontschutzplatte (S/C - S. 10). - Rckspiegel (S/C - S. 6). - Windschutzscheibe (S/C - S. 2). - Schutzblech vorne (S/C - S. 18). - Hinterrad (S/D - S. 0). Die Schrauben (V2 - Abb. 15) losschrauben. Die Schrauben (V2 - Abb. 16) losschrauben.

Rimuovere i tappeti appoggiapiedi e svitare le viti sottostanti (V3 - F. 18).

SHIELD REMOVAL
Note: in order to remove shield, it is necessary to preventively remove the following: - Central shield (S/C - P. 10). - Rear view mirrors (S/C - P. 6). - Windscreen (S/C - P. 2). - Front fender (S/C - P. 18). - Front wheel (S/D - P. 0).
Unscrew the screws (V2 - F. 15).

Svitare le viti (V2) in corrispondenza dei fori (X - Y) (lato sinistro). Svitare le viti (V2 - F. 54) (lato destro). Estrarre il parafango (C - F. 52).
ABMONTIEREN DES SCHUTZBLECHES HINTEN
Die gegenber der Bohrungen (X - Y) (linke Seite) angebrachten Schrauben (V 2 ) osschrauben. Die Schrauben (V2F. 54) (rechte Seite) losschrauben. Das Schutzblech (C - F. 52) abmontieren.

Unscrew the screws (V 2 ) in correspondence with the holes (X - Y) (left side). Unscrew the screws (V2 - F. 54) (right side). Remove the fender (C - F. 52).

Dvisser les vis (V 2 ) places lendroit des trous ( X - Y )(ct gauche). Dvisser les vis (V2 - F.54) (ct droit). Extraire le garde-boue (C - F. 52).
DESMONTAJE GUARDABARROS TRASERO
Aflojar los tornillos (V 2 ) en correspondencia de los orificios (X Y)(lado izquierdo). Aflojar los tornillos (V2 - F. 54) (lado derecho). Extraer el guardabarros (C - F. 52).
RIMOZIONE CODONE
Nota: per rimuovere il codone (A) necessario rimuovere preventivamente la carenatura posteriore (S/C - P. 28).
ABMONTIEREN DES HECKES
Hinweis: Um das Heck (A) abzumontieren, mssen Sie zuerst die hintere Verkleidung (S/C - S. 28) abmontieren.
Scollegare il cablaggio (C). Svitare le viti (V6).
RIMOZIONE AVVISATORE ACUSTICO
Nota: per accedere allavvisatore acustico (A) necessario rimuovere lo scudo (S/C - P. 10). Scollegare i cavi elettrici (B - C). Svitare la vite (V) e rimuovere lavvisatore acustico (A).
ABMONTIEREN DES SIGNALHORNS
Hinweis: Um zum Signalhorn (A) Zugang zu erhalten, mssen Sie zuerst die Frontschutzplatte (S/C - S. 10) abmontieren. Die elektrischen Kabel (B - C) trennen. Die Schraube (V) losschrauben und das Signalhorn (A) entfernen.
To remove the fork: loosen and remove the lock nut (A) loosen and remove the underlying nut (B) slide out the fork.
Pour dposer la fourche: dvisser et retirer le contre-crou (A) dvisser et retirer lcrou situ audessous (B) sortir la fourche. Soutenir la fourche afin dviter quelle ne tombe.
Para quitar la horquilla: destornillar y quitar la tuerca de inmovilizacin (A) destornillar y quitar la tuerca que est debajo (B) sacar el grupo horquilla.
Securely hold the fork to avoid dropping.
Sostener la horquilla con el fin de evitar su cada.
Pay attention to the coming out of the lower balls (C). The grease should be removed from the various parts and their seats. Check their condition, and if necessary, replace them. Grease all parts and reassembly.
Faire galement trs attention la sortie des billes infrieures (C). Eliminer la graisse des composants et de leur logement. Contrler ltat dusure et, si besoin est, les changer. Graisser et procder au remontage.
Prestar adems mucha atencin a salida de las bolas inferiores (C). Quitar la grasa de los componentes y de sus relativos asientos. Controlar el estado de desgaste y, si fuese necesario, sustituir los componentes. Engrasar y volver a reensamblar.

KEY-SWITCH REMOVAL
Note: in order to reach the key-switch unit (A) it is necessary to remove the shield first (S/C - P. 10). Unscrew the special screws (V2) completely. The fastening screws (V2) have been implemented with a special anti-tampering head. A special wrench, available on request, is then necessary for their removal (code 086.014.00).

BATTERY
PRE-DELIVERY INTERVENTION Note: the battery is supplied without the electrolytic liquid, so it is necessary to prepare it appropriately and put it under charge.
To reach the battery compartment, remove the little box (A - F. 14) by untightening the screws (V4). If the battery results to be connected, disconnect the feeding cables. Remove the battery from its compartment, lifting it by the transparent band (B - F. 15) which functions as a handle.

BATERA
OPERACION A EFECTUAR ANTES DE LA ENTREGA Nota: la batera se suministra sin lquido electroltico, por lo que ser necesario prepararla adecuadamente y proceder a la carga de la misma. Para acceder al compartimiento donde se encuentra la batera, quitar la caja (A - F. 14) desatornillando los tornillos (V4). Si la batera est conectada, desconectar los cables de alimentacin. Para quitar la batera de su alojamiento emplear la cinta (B - F. 15) transparente que sirve de asidero.
Connect the blue and the light blue cables to the positive poles and the two black cables to the negative pole. Replace battery verifying that the breather pipe is connected. The breather pipe should come out from the compartment of the battery itself, without wrinkles, obstructions, constrictions. Note: after having replaced the battery into its compartment and restore the tool box, insert inside the box itself the bag with the tools supplied with the motorcycle, controlling its content: - sparking plug wrench - screwdriver - wrench for dampers - caliper

BERPRFUNG DER ZNDKERZE
Die Zndkerze bei heiem Motor herausnehmen (Vorsicht vor Verbrennungen). Die Kohlenstoffablagerungen und die Frbung der Isolierung (um die mittlere Elektrode) liefern ntzliche Hinweise auf den thermischen Grad der Zndkerze, auf die Vergasung a f d e Schmierung sowie auf den allgemeinen Vergasung, u i Zustand des Motors. Eine hellbraune Frbung (der Isolierung) weist auf einen korrekten allgemeinen Betrieb hin. Schwarze ruige, (bei Berhrung) trockene und matte Ablagerungen deuten auf eine zu niedrige Betriebstemperatur Schwarze ( hoch), thermischer Grad der Zndkerze zu hoch zu fette Vergasung oder defekte Zndung. Eine weilich gefrbte Isolierung bedeutet: Zu magres Benzin-l-Gemisch oder thermischer Grad der Kerze zu magres n e r g (Kerze zu hei). idi Den Abstand zwischen den Elektroden (Abb. 6) kontrollieren (auch dann, wenn die Zndkerze neu ist). Verwenden Sie dazu einen abgelehrten Dickenmesser. Regulieren Sie den Abstand gegebenenfalls nach, indem Sie auf die Massenelektrode einwirken.
SPARK PLUG CHECK
Remove the spark plug while the engine is hot (taking utmost care to avoid scalding!). The carbon deposits and the colour of the insulator (around the central electrode) provide good information as to the carburetion, heat range of the spark plug and to carburetion lubrication and general condition of the engine. A light brown c l u o (the insulator) indicates that engine working conditions are generally correct oor f correct. Never turn the camshaft during its fitting in order to prevent damages or incorrect timing of the valves.
Hold the camshaft and tighten the screw at the same time. i: Ft Timing chain tightener.
Ne pas tourner larbre cames pendant sa mise en place, afin dviter de provoquer des dgts ou dexcuter un calage incorrect des soupapes. Retenir larbre cames et dans le mme temps, serrer le boulon. Positionner : le tendeur de chane de distribution.
No girar el rbol de levas durante el montaje para evitar daos o el reglaje no correcto de las vlvulas.
Sujetar el rbol de levas y apretar simultneamente el tornillo. Montar: El tensor de la cadena de dsrbc. itiuin
Fitting operation: Remove the screw of the tightening plug (1 F.39) and the springs (2). Press the unidirectional cam (3) of the timing chain tightener and insert the tightener rod (4) to the end. Fit the tightener with a new gasket ( )i t ec l n e. 5 n h yidr Fit the springs (2) and the plug screw () 1. Tighten the screws (with gasket) according to the tightening torque: 6.5 Nm Nm.

Soltar la leva unidireccional (3) del tensor de la cadena de distribucin e introducir el vstago del tensor (4) hasta el tope. Montar el tensor con una nueva g a n c ( )e e c l n r. uriin 5 n l iido Montar los muelles (2) y el tornillo del tapn (1). Apretar los tornillos (con guarnicin) segn al par de torsin: 6,5 Nm.
Tighten: Screw (camshaft pinion) (1 F.40).
Extraer: Tapa bomba agua (F. 140).
Remove: Water pump cover (F.140).
Check the gasket on the cover supporting surface.
Contrler la surface dappui du cuece srl jit ovrl, u e on.
Controlar la superficie de apoyo de la tapa, en la guarnicin.
Always replace the gasket (A F.142) with a new original one.
Remplacer toujours le joint (A F. 142) par un neuf, original.
Sustituir siempre la guarnicin (A F. 142) por una nueva, original.
