Rocky Mountain Audio Fest in conjunction with the Colorado Audio Society will hold a three-day audio extravaganza event on October 8, 9, and 10, 2004 in Denver, Colorado. The event is a unique opportunity for audiophiles, future audiophiles as well as other interested parties living within the rocky mountain region and surrounding locations to see and hear the latest audio gear. Exhibit rooms, suites and conference rooms will be packed with equipment from around the world waiting for you audition. This will be a very exciting weekend, as Colorado has never been host to an audio show, let alone one of this magnitude. Audio Unlimited is excited to announce that we will be exhibiting in the two largest conference rooms and one suite. Accuphase www.accuphase.com The new E-308 integrated amplifier features 100 watts per channel of pure Accuphase power. The new amplifier driver stage with multiple circuit summing topology drastically improves S/N ratio for a blacker background. A current feedback circuit in both the pre and power amp stages as opposed to a voltage feedback circuit serve to eliminate phase shift for faster transient response and enhanced transparency. This new design also provides for a very flat frequency response over a wide range. The option slots accept the DAC-10 option board ($800), providing the legendary Accuphase digital processing performance onboard at an affordable price. The option slots can also accept the analog option boards to add a world-class phono stage. Delivery is immediate with an expected retail price of $5,750. The DP-77 CD/SACD player offers the ultimate playback of both the SACD format and the Red Book CD format. This machine features a 2.8224 MHZ digital processor, 24/196 upsampling, 4 precision DACs in a fully balanced configuration, dual laser pickups and independent signal paths for both sections, dual expansion bays and an amazing chassis. Pathos www.PathosAcoustics.com Expanding on the unique technologies found in the $13,000 InPower mono amps and the $6500 InControl preamp is the INPOL 2 integrated amplifier. The INPOL 2 is a reference level 45-watt Inpol equipped integrated amp with full-function remote. It is not inexpensive at $9900.00, but it offers most of the performance of their near $20,000 separates at almost half the price. Due to the overwhelming demand for the $2,300 ClassicOne integrated, Pathos has built a new production facility. This new facility will aid in shorter delivery times and some minor product enhancements. Every ClassicOne ordered in the last month will be delivered from this new facility. Tannoy www.tannoy.com The Eyris iDP (Interactive Digital Programming) home theater system offers extremely accurate room equalization for custom-matching an individual system to any particular listening environmentwhether in free space, close to a wall, corner-placed, or in-wall. The Eyris iDP system features updated Dual Concentric and WideBand technology, on-board bi-amplification with 300 Watts RMS to LF and 250 to HF, elegant, high rigidity cabinet design in a choice of sycamore, American walnut or black ash. The basic 5.1 system consists of four active Eyris iDP DC3 floor standing loudspeakers, DCC centre channel and 1000 Watt subwoofer with two side firing, 12 aluminum-coned drive units, and onboard iDP engine. A typical 5.1 configuration is in the range of $30,000 complete depending on choice of models. The system can also be scaled down by using individual iDP components such as just a center channel and sub while using timbre matched in-walls or traditional Eyris DC speakers to complement thus reducing the cost of the system significantly but still offering room voicing capability. The Eyris iDP offers a complete solution for high-end home theater that can compete with far more expensive systems. Used as the basis for the revolutionary iDP system, the Eyris DC3 ($2,700), DCC ($1,200) and DC1 ($1,500) are an extraordinary value. Featuring the same 7 Dual Concentric drivers and cabinet construction, this speaker series will make an outstanding theater or music system. Tara Labs www.taralabs.com The cable technology leaders will be releasing a new line of mid-level RSC interconnects and speaker cables in the next 30 days. They will range from $195-795 and offer giant killing performance. The RSC Prime Gen 2 interconnects will be reduced in price to $149 and mark the retirement of the RSC Axiom interconnect. On the video side, there is a new Prism DVI cable and a Prism 301d Toslink digital cable that uses real glass fiber as opposed to plastic fiber for only $100. The plastic fiber used as an industry standard in Toslink cables is littered with reflections and has been the major downfall of the format.
