| Bought the 16G WiFi for my wife. She enjoys playing games, surfing the web, reading books, reading email and catching up on her Soaps at ABC.com. Awesome game player, and has replaced my laptop but I do not have to need for business and so I do not know about how those work. Great for traveling,... | |

| I came into Vanns on a whim on the iPads launch day not really expecting to see any there still available. I replaced my first-gen iPod Touch, which I had since they first came out a few years ago, with this new beast of a device. First of all. | |

UNIVERSAL 6 Light
Thank you for choosing a MELICONI remote control.
Thanks to its large database and numerous functions the U N I V E R S A L 6 L i g h t remote control is ideal for replacing up to 6 remote controls of any brands for TV - VCR - DVD - SAT - AUX - TER (Digital Terrestrial). Its ergonomic form and casing in soft rubber make it easy to grip and protect it against falls and bumps. Thanks to the LIGHT button, the keys light up so you can use the remote control even in the dark. Thanks to the LEARN function, the U N I V E R S A L 6 L i g h t can also learn the signals of any original remote controls issued in the future and thus not yet included in its database. It can also learn and memorize secondary functions on the function keys F1 - F2 - F3 - F4 or on any other key on the keypad.
Keep your Instruction Booklet and Code Booklet for future reference. For anyone with internet, via the website www.gumbodylight.com, it is even easier and quicker to programme the remote control and discover all the potential of the UNIVERSAL 6 Light thanks to the on-line guide.

SET-UP
Read these instructions carefully before programming your remote control!
FITTING THE BATTERIES
Before programming and using the remote control, fit the batteries.
The remote control requires 2 new AA/LR06 batteries. Insert the batteries as shown: Change the batteries if the light indicator starts to flash during use. The batteries are low. Make a note of the codes for your appliances on the adhesive label inside the battery cover in case you have to reprogramme your remote control. This remote control has a permanent memory and does not lose the programmed codes or functions when the batteries are removed.
To programme the U N I V E R S A L 6 L i g h t remote control, follow the indications in paragraph A , B or C.
BRAND SEARCH PROGRAMMING MODE
The quickest and easiest way to programme the remote control is by consulting the website www.gumbodylight.com. Warning: programme one appliance at a time!
1. Turn on the appliance to be programmed: - if a VCR, insert a cassette - if a SAT or TER select a programme - if a DVD insert a DVD. 2. Look for the brand of the appliance you want to programme in the code book and make a note of the code indicated alongside (e.g. PHILIPS 0025) or the code for the brand indicated by the arrow. 3. Hold down the selection key for the appliance to be programmed for 5 seconds. 4. When the key is released, it will start to flash. Enter the brand code previously identified (e.g. 0025). The selection key flashes more quickly to indicate that the remote control is ready for the search. 5. Point the remote control at the appliance. Press and slowly release the ON/OFF key or PLAY for the VCR and DVD several times, stopping when the appliance responds correctly to the command. 6. When the appliance responds correctly, press OK to confirm. Three flashes indicate that the search operation has been completed correctly.
PHILIPS PHONOLA PHILIPS 0025
5 SEC.
ADDITIONAL CHECK Check that some of the other functions used on your original remote control are working correctly. If the commands function incorrectly or erratically, you have probably entered a code for a similar remote control but not the right one. In this case, repeat the search procedure starting from point 3, entering the code previously used (e.g. 0025). To display and make a note of the code memorized by means of the search, follow the instructions described in the paragraph CURRENT CODE DISPLAY.
N.B. THE LIGHT INDICATOR STOPS FLASHING. The remote control exits programming mode and the light indicator stops flashing: if no keys are pressed for 14 seconds if an invalid brand code is entered if a key other than ON/OFF or PLAY is accidentally pressed if the end of the code search list has been reached. In this case, go back to point or switch to programming mode C.
DIRECT CODE ENTRY
1. Turn on the appliance to be programmed: - if a VCR, insert a cassette - if SAT or TER select a programme - if a DVD insert a DVD. 2. Look for the brand of the appliance you want to programme in the code book and make a note of the first code in the list (e.g. Philips TV 1000 - VCR 5070). 3. Hold down the selection key for the appliance to be programmed for 5 seconds. 4. When the key is released, it will start to flash. Enter the previously identified code (e.g. 1000). Three flashes indicate that the code has been memorized correctly. If not, try the code entry procedure again from point 3.
PHILIPS TV 1015 VCR 5070
1016 5072
1017 5073
ADDITIONAL CHECK Check that some of the other functions used on your original remote control are working correctly. If the commands function incorrectly or erratically, you have probably used the wrong code. In this case, repeat the procedure starting from point 3. This time, however, use the NEXT CODE in the list (e.g. Philips TV 1006 VCR 5072).
Remember to make a note of the codes used to programme the remote control on the adhesive label inside the battery cover for quick and easy reprogramming.
N.B. THE LIGHT INDICATOR STOPS FLASHING. The remote control exits programming mode and the light indicator stops flashing: if no keys are pressed for 14 seconds if an invalid code is entered if the wrong keys are accidentally pressed.
GLOBAL SEARCH REMOTE CONTROL PROGRAMMING
This operation can take up to 20 minutes and should be carried out if you have not succeeded in programming the remote control by means of the other methods. The quickest and easiest way to programme the remote control is by consulting the website www.gumbodylight.com. Warning: programme one appliance at a time!
1. Turn on the appliance to be programmed: - if a VCR, insert a cassette - if SAT or TER select a programme - if a DVD insert a DVD.
2. Hold down the selection key for the appliance to be programmed for 5 seconds. 3. When the key is released, it will start to flash. Enter the code 0000; the selection key flashes more quickly to indicate that the remote control is ready for the search. 4. Point the remote control at the appliance. Press and slowly release the ON/OFF key or PLAY for the VCR and DVD several times, stopping when the appliance responds correctly to the command. 5. When the appliance responds correctly, press OK to confirm. Three flashes indicate that the search operation has been completed correctly.
ADDITIONAL CHECK Check that some of the other functions used on your original remote control are working correctly. If the commands function incorrectly or erratically, you have probably entered a code for a similar remote control but not the right one. In this case, repeat the search procedure starting from point 2.
To display and make a note of the code memorized by means of the search, follow the instructions described in the paragraph CURRENT CODE DISPLAY.
N.B. THE LIGHT INDICATOR STOPS FLASHING. The remote control exits programming mode and the light indicator stops flashing: if no keys are pressed for 14 seconds if a key other than ON/OFF or PLAY is accidentally pressed if the end of the code search list has been reached. In this case, start again from point 2 or consult our website www.gumbodylight.com.
CURRENT CODE DISPLAY
To find out the code of your remote control, follow this procedure:
1. Hold down the selection key of the appliance whose code you want to know for 5 seconds. 2. When the key is released it will start to flash; press and release the 1-/-- key within 8 seconds. 3. After a few seconds, the light indicator produces 4 series of flashes, with a pause between each series, corresponding to the current code. Count the number of flashes; each series of flashes corresponds to one figure in the code. 10 flashes correspond to 0. 4. Make a note of the code on the adhesive label inside the battery cover for quick and easy future reprogramming... = 1.. = 3 =0. = 6 Code obtained = 1306
or or or or or
N.B. this operation cannot be interrupted and the remote control cannot therefore be used until the end of the 4 series of flashes.
USING THE REMOTE CONTROL WITH MORE THAN ONE APPLIANCE OF THE SAME TYPE
In addition to what is described above, you can assign the selection keys to appliances other than those indicated; for example, you can use the SAT key to control the TV. This allows every possible combination according to your requirements; ust programme the remote control by means of procedure B direct code entry. To find out the appliance code if you have used procedure A or C , proceed as described in the paragraph CURRENT CODE DISPLAY.
LIGHT FUNCTION: Lights up the keys on the remote control
Press the LIGHT button the remote control keys will light up immediately. This is very useful in the dark to find which key to press. The light goes out when the LIGHT button is pressed again or after about 10 seconds if no keys are pressed.
TV FUNCTIONS ALWAYS ACTIVE
The TV functions VOLUME + / VOLUME / MUTE and AV are always available, regardless of which appliance is being used.
LEARN FUNCTION
To use this function the remote control you want to copy the signal from must still work. This function allows the remote control to:
Learn the missing functions of an original remote control and memorize them on the keys F1 F2 -F3 - F4 or on any other key and thus replace the original remote control Learn all the functions of a new remote control issued in the future and thus not yet included in the database of the universal remote control.
Learn the missing functions of an original remote control and memorize them on any key of the U N I V E R S A L 6 L i g h t
To copy the signals it is first of all necessary to position the remote controls at the correct distance from each other:
1. Position the original remote control in front of the universal remote control, so that the areas that emit the infrared signals are in front of each other and about 5 cm apart. 2. Press the LEARN key briefly and then, within five seconds, press and hold down any key on the original remote control. The yellow light under the LEARN key should start to flash; if not, the remote controls should be moved closer together. 3. Gradually increase the distance between the two remote controls, making sure they are still in line with each other, until the yellow light under the LEARN key stops flashing.
Max dist
This indicates the maximum distance for data exchange between the two remote controls. In order to copy the signals the remote controls must be positioned at half this distance, taking care not to move them until the process is completed.
4. Press the selection key of the required appliance. 5. Briefly press the LEARN key together with one of the keys F1 - F2 - F3 - F4, or any other key on which you want to memorize the function to be copied. 6. The yellow light of the LEARN key will light up and stay lit while waiting to receive a signal from the original remote control. 7. Press the key on the original remote control corresponding to the signal to be copied and hold it down until the yellow light of the LEARN key goes out.
N.B.: if the light of the LEARN key lights up again when the key is released, the same key on the original remote control must be pressed again until the light goes out again.
8. The procedure is complete when the green light of the selected appliance emits three long flashes. Only then will the remote control be ready to copy other signals to be assigned to other keys.
After programming the U N I V E R S A L 6 L i g h t , whenever a key that has been assigned a LEARN command is pressed, not only will the light of the key relative to the appliance being used light up, but also the light of the LEARN key.
CANCELLING ALL THE LEARN COMMANDS
All the signals copied with the LEARN function can be cancelled by entering the code 9000 on any appliance selection key, thus resetting the original commands on the keys.
Learn all the functions of a new remote control not yet included in the U N I V E R S A L 6 L i g h t database
With the U N I V E R S A L 6 L i g h t it is possible to create up to 6 completely empty keypads so that a total of 96 new commands can be copied with the LEARN function.
1. Programme an appliance selection key following procedure B entering one of the following codes: 8000, 8001, 8002, 8003, 8004 or 8005. 2. To copy and memorize the signals from one or more original remote controls, follow the procedure L1.
(x = 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5)
After setting up one of these keypads with LEARN commands, it can be disabled by programming another code on the appliance selection key and subsequently reactivated, ust as it was before, by re-entering the code 800x on the same appliance selection key or on another key.
HOW TO USE THE ADDITIONAL COMMANDS WHICH DO NOT APPEAR ON THE KEYPAD
Although not indicated on the keypad, some keys can be used for additional commands. Find them on your U N I V E R S A L 6 L i g h t remote control by pressing the buttons one by one and discovering the commands that interest you. In particular, the additional functions most frequently used, such as NORMALIZATION, COLOUR and BRIGHTNESS, can be found on the following keys:
Normalization: Brightness (+): Brightness (-): Colour (+): Colour (-): or or or or
For less frequently used functions look for the additional commands on our website www.gumbodylight.com. As well as easily finding the code to programme your remote control, the on-line guide will help you to find which keys on the U N I V E R S A L 6 L i g h t remote control correspond to the additional commands. You can memorize the additional commands on the function keys F1 - F2 - F3 - F4.
PR OBLEM SOLVING PROBLEM The appliance does not respond and the TV - VCR - SAT- AUX - TER - DVD selection keys do not light up when a key is pressed. SOLUTION Try some of the other frequently-used buttons. If the problem persists, check that the batteries are fitted correctly. If necessary, replace them with 2 new 1.5 V AA/LR06 batteries. Check that the batteries are new and that the remote control is pointing at the TV without any obstacles in the way. If necessary, re-programme the remote control, following the programming procedure A or B or C. The batteries are low. Change them. You may have used the wrong code. Re-enter the remote control code, following the programming procedure A or B or C. Programme the remote control following the global search procedure C or consult the on-line guide on the website www.gumbodylight.com to find the code with which to programme your remote control.
The appliance does not respond but the selection keys do light up.
The selection keys flash. The remote control commands are not all working correcting. The code for your appliance is not in the Code Book.
