This simplified universal remote control contains all the main functions of most TV remote controls on the market. Remove the battery protection tab and program your remote control before using it. Keep your Instructions Booklet for future reference.
USING THE KEYS AND FUNCTIONS

USE OF THE BATTERY

A CR2032 lithium battery is supplied when you purchase the remote control. Remove the protective tab sticking out of the battery compartment before using the remote control for the first time (fig. 1). To replace the battery, rotate the cover in an anti-clockwise direction using a coin, for example, and insert the battery as shown (fig. 2). (fig. 1) (fig. 2)
The battery must be changed once a year. Change the battery if the light indicator starts to flash during use. Battery low. When you remove the battery, fit the new one within 5 minutes or you may have to re-program your remote control. Make a note of the code for your TV on the adhesive label supplied inside the battery cover. This note will be handy if you have to reprogram your remote control.

SET-UP

Read these instructions carefully before programming your remote control! To use the remote control with your TV, you must first program Mycro as described below. You can also visit our Internet site www.meliconi.com to have access to interactive instructions for easier and faster remote control programming.
PROGRAMMING YOUR REMOTE CONTROL
1. Make sure that the TV is ON. 2.Hold down the and keys simultaneously until the light indicator starts to flash indicating that the remote control is in programming mode. 3. Press key four times then point the remote control at the appliance. Press and release the key slowly several times. STOP when your TV goes OFF. 4.When your TV is OFF, press the and keys simultaneously. When you release the keys, three flashes indicate that the search operation has been completed correctly. 5.IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE PROGRAMME SELECTION KEYS ON YOUR ORIGINAL REMOTE CONTROL If your remote control does not have the programme selection keys (e.g. / , +/-, CH+/-.etc) once you have programmed Mycro, you can still select the programmes from 0 to 9, as follows: Hold down the and keys simultaneously until the light indicator starts to flash indicating that the remote control is in programming mode. Release the keys and press 9 times within 12 seconds. Three flashes indicate that the operation has been completed correctly. Make sure you can change programmes from 0 to 9 using the and keys. If not, repeat the search operation, starting from point 2.

Additional check Check that all 7 keys are operating correctly. If the commands work incorrectly or erratically, you have probably entered a code for a similar but different remote control. In this case, repeat the search procedure from point 2 until all keys respond correctly to the commands sent.
Identify and take note of the TV code which you have searched for, following the code noting procedure (see "PROGRAMMED CODE NOTING" section).
NOTE: DURING THE SEARCH OPERATION, THE LIGHT INDICATOR FLASHES MORE QUICKLY. THE LIGHT INDICATOR STOPS FLASHING AND YOUR REMOTE CONTROL LEAVES PROGRAMMING MODE IN THE FOLLOWING CASES: if no keys are pressed for 12 seconds if you press keys other than those indicated if the code search list is completed. PROGRAMMED CODE NOTING

When you have programmed Mycro Meliconi, note down the code on the label in the battery compartment cover. To find the code for your remote control: and keys simultaneously until the light 1. Hold down the indicator at the top starts to flash indicating that the remote control is searching for the code. 2. Release the keys and, within 12 seconds, press and

simultaneously.

3. Release and and pay attention to the flashing of the LED: a long flash corresponds to a + while a short flash corresponds to a -. Note the sequence of the 9 flashes and note them down on the label in the battery compartment cover, from left to right.
RE-PROGRAMMING YOUR REMOTE CONTROL BY ENTERING THE CODE NOTED DOWN
If the remote control is no longer programmed because it has been left without a battery for a long time or has a flat battery, you can re-program it quickly as follows: 1. Hold down the and keys simultaneously until the light indicator at the top starts to flash indicating that the remote control is programming. 2. Release the keys and, within 12 seconds, using the and keys, enter the nine-sign code which you noted down before. At the end, three flashes indicate that the code has been saved correctly. If not, try the code entry procedure again from point 1.
USING YOUR REMOTE CONTROL
Once you have programmed Mycro, you can turn ON your TV in three ways: Press or. Press. Press and simultaneously: this sends the code for programme 1. To return to programme 1 directly, press simultaneously. and 9

TROUBLESHOOTING

PROBLEM The TV does not respond and the light indicator does not light up when you press a key. The TV or VCR does not respond but the light indicator does light up. SOLUTION Check that the battery is fitted correctly. If necessary, replace it with a new CR2032 lithium battery. Check that the battery is new and that the remote control is pointing at the appliance without any obstacles in the way. If required, reset the remote control code by repeating the programming procedure. Battery low. Replace it.

The TV does not respond and the light indicator flashes. Not all remote control commands are working correcting. The and keys do not select the programmes.
You may have used the wrong code. Reset the remote control code, following the programming procedure. The original remote control may not have had this function. In this case, set the code (press 9 times) as described in the PROGRAMMING YOUR REMOTE CONTROL section above.
