This simplied universal remote control contains all the main functions of most TV remote controls on the market. Insert the batteries and program your remote control before using it. Keep your Instructions Booklet for future reference. USING THE KEYS AND FUNCTIONS
Control the volume using +. Control the volume using -. To select the next programme or to turn ON your TV. Press them together to turn ON your TV on programme 1. To select the previous programme or to turn ON your TV. ON/OFF to turn OFF your TV and, in some cases, to turn ON your TV.
Identify and take note of the TV code which you have searched for, following the code noting procedure (see PROGRAMMED CODE NOTING section).
NOTE: DURING THE SEARCH OPERATION, THE LIGHT INDICATOR FLASHES MORE QUICKLY. THE LIGHT INDICATOR STOPS FLASHING AND YOUR REMOTE CONTROL LEAVES PROGRAMMING MODE IN THE FOLLOWING CASES: if no keys are pressed for 12 seconds if you press keys other than those indicated if the code search list is completed. FITTING THE BATTERIES

The remote control requires 2 new AAA/LR03 alkaline batteries. Insert the batteries as shown:
Batteries must be changed once a year. Change the batteries if the light indicator starts to ash during use. The batteries are low. When removing batteries, insert the new ones within 5 minutes or you may have to reprogram your remote control. Make a note of the code for your TV on the adhesive label supplied inside the battery compartment cover. This note will be handy if you have to reprogram your remote control.

PROGRAMMED CODE NOTING

When you have programmed Speedy Goal Plus Meliconi, note down the code on the label in the battery compartment cover. To nd the code for your remote control: 1. Hold down the and keys simultaneously until the light indicator at the top starts to ash indicating that the remote control is searching for the code. 2. Release the keys and, within 12 seconds, press and simultaneously. 3. Release and and pay attention to the ashing of the LED: a long ash corresponds to a + while a short ash corresponds to a -. Note the sequence of the 9 ashes and note them down on the label in the battery compartment cover, from left to right.
RE-PROGRAMMING YOUR REMOTE CONTROL BY ENTERING THE CODE NOTED DOWN
If the remote control is no longer programmed because it has been left without batteries for a long time or has at batteries, you can re-program it quickly as follows: 1. Hold down the and keys simultaneously until the light indicator at the top starts to ash indicating that the remote control is programming. 2. Release the keys and, within 12 seconds, using the and keys, enter the nine-sign code which you noted down before. At the end, three ashes indicate that the code has been saved correctly. If not, try the code entry procedure again from point 1.

SET-UP Read these instructions carefully before programming your remote control! To use the remote control with your appliances, you must rst program Speedy Goal Plus as described below. You can also visit our Internet site www.meliconi.com to have access to interactive instructions for easier and faster remote control programming. PROGRAMMING YOUR REMOTE CONTROL

1. Make sure that the TV is ON. 2. Hold down the and keys simultaneously until the light indicator at the top starts to ash indicating that the remote control is in programming mode. 3. Press key four times then point the remote control at the appliance. Press and release the key slowly several times. STOP when your TV goes OFF. 4. When your TV is OFF, press the and keys simultaneously. When you release the keys, three ashes indicate that the search operation has been completed correctly. Additional check Check that all 7 keys are operating correctly. If the commands work incorrectly or erratically, you have probably entered a code for a similar but different remote control. In this case, repeat the search procedure from point 2 until all keys respond correctly to the commands sent. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE PROGRAMME SELECTION KEYS ON YOUR ORIGINAL REMOTE CONTROL If your remote control does not have the programme selection keys (e.g. / , +/-, CH+/-.etc) once you have programmed Speedy Goal Plus, you can still select the programmes from 0 to 9, as follows: Hold down the and keys simultaneously until the light indicator starts to ash indicating that the remote control is in programming mode. Release the keys and press 9 times within 12 seconds. Three ashes indicate that the operation has been completed correctly. Make sure you can change programmes from 0 to 9 using the and keys. If not, repeat the search operation, starting from point 2.
USING YOUR REMOTE CONTROL
Once you have programmed Speedy Goal Plus, you can turn ON your TV in three ways: Press Press Press or. and. simultaneously: this sends the code for programme 1. and simultaneously.

TROUBLESHOOTING

PROBLEM 1. The TV does not respond and the light indicator does not light up when you press a key.
2. The TV does not respond but the light indicator does light up. 3. The TV does not respond and the light indicator ashes. 4. Not all remote control commands are working correcting. 5. The and keys do not select the programmes. Agents stamp SOLUTION 1. Check that the batteries are tted correctly. If necessary, replace them with 2 new 1.5 V AAA/LR03 alkaline batteries. 2. Check that the batteries are new and that the remote control is pointing at the appliance without any obstacles in the way. If required, reset the remote control code by repeating the programming procedure. 3. Batteries are low. Replace them. 4. You may have used the wrong code. Reset the remote control code, following the programming procedure. 5. The original remote control may not have had this function. In this case, set the code (press 9 times) as described in the PROGRAMMING YOUR REMOTE CONTROL section above.
