Flash tip!
The ultra-modern flash technology of the Metz mecablitz 54 AF-1 digital guarantees high-precision light output. Even the ambient lighting conditions are taken into account so that the prevailing atomosphere is faithfully rendered. Compared with subjects that have been shot without flash, the gentle fill-in light exposure produces a far more naturally enhanced picture rendition. Different precision measuring modes are available, depending on the camera model From Canon E-TTL and Nikon DTTL, 3D/D-TTL mode, as well as iTTL or i-TTL BL flash control to Konica/Minolta Dmage ADI flash exposure metering.

34 AF - 3: SIMPLY CHIC. The Metz
mecablitz 34 AF-3 is suitable for everyone who expects a combination of style, quality and compactness from their flash unit. This chic mini convinces with its simple operation, guide number 34, TTL operation and telephoto or wide-angle attachments. And of course this little star comes including the specific special functions for AF SLR cameras from Canon, Minolta, Nikon and Pentax.

This means simply release the shutter, check the result on the camera's monitor, and correct with the keys should this prove to be necessary. With this slave model the flash power can be boosted without any undesirable side-effects. The power is generated by normal alkaline size-AAA batteries or the equally inexpensive rechargeable AAA batteries.
Be it a garden party, wedding, child's birthday or a luxury cruise - They are all those irretrievable moments in life that build up in the course of the years. Yet, in spite of the importance of the moment, the photographic results often turn out to be disappointing: Sometimes faces are too dark on account of the high contrasts between light and shadows. And then the colours are too flat because the camera's internal flash was not powerful enough. The real answer is to be on the safe side with a Metz mecablitz 28 AF3 digital. This small, clip-on flash unit is designed in technology and size to match optimally the compact digital cameras.
28 CS-2 digital also suitable for digital cameras that have no flash connection! Can be used with or without telescopic bracket.

And this can be continued until the perfect picture impression is created. Moreover, a flexible learning function ensures that cameras with a preflash function can be used.

CREATIVE FLASH LIGHTING WITH METZ
The power zoom reflector of the Metz mecablitz 70 MZ-5 covers an impressive focal length range of mm. A 20 mm lens can even be used, in connection with a wide-angle attachment, without noticeable losses of lighting in the picture edges. In the course of a creative photo design, you can also zoom out the reflector head on your flash unit to create the opposite effect. The more you adjust the zoom out manually, the narrower the light beam becomes causing the light to reach further out.

THE SCA SYSTEM
The camera can change, Metz stays! Metz mecablitz flash units have always been known for their flexibility. Thanks to the well-developed SCA adapter system they can be used on nearly every SLR camera. And: This also applies to the future! The SCA 3002 adapter system is a further development of the proven SCA 3000 system. The digital data exchange between camera and flash makes a variety of new functions possible. Digital and film The photographer of today has to have both digital and film cameras in their bag of tricks. Obviously, it would be ideal to have a flash unit that is compatible with both camera types. This is where the SCA 3083 digital slave adapter comes to the rescue. This adapter has a vast adaptability range, allowing the current range of Metz SCA flash units to be used with cameras, film or digital, with or without hot shoe connection. Three slave functions are available. Convenient - Cordless TTL or auto flash control. In this case nothing has to be set on the slave flash unit. A controlling Metz flash unit on the camera controls one or several external slave flash units in the cordless mode. Individual light control with slave flash function. The slave flash with SCA 3083 digital adapter offers the photographer the maximum creative freedom. The required out put of the slave flash can be manually set for targeted light levels to achieve specific effects or to brighten up dark areas in the picture. The controlling flash unit can be used in automatic or manual modes. Slave flash function with preflash suppression. Digital cameras without any hot shoe and operating with a pre-flash function. The SCA 3083 with a special lag-time circuit built into it will help the Metz flash fire with the main flash and not fire on the preflash of the camera.

i-TTL Sophisticated flash exposure metering for digital cameras (Nikon specific). Additional values relating to subject contrast are included. Manual Flash Mode Full light output with the given guide number.
<<< L E X I C O N.
Slave Mode An integrated sensor makes wireless flash operation possible in combination with an additional flash unit. (Possible with 70 MZ-5, 50 MZ-5 and 34 CS-2).
Partial Light Output Mode For reduced light output or for particular flash durations. i-TTL-BL Sophisticated flash exposure metering for digital cameras (Nikon specific). Additional values relating to subject contrast and distance are included. AF Measurement Flash Integrated in the flash unit. Makes automatic focus adjustment with the SCA 3000 and SCA 3002 adapters by AF-SLR cameras possible. (Also in darkness).
Stroboscope Mode For flash sequences in selectable intensity, frequency and number of flashes (for example for special effect exposures and movement studies).
TTL Fill-in Flash Control Reduces subject contrasts that are too high (for example by lightening up shadow areas on sunny days). Remote Automatic or Remote TTL Makes wireless operation of additional flash units (= slave) possible in controller/slave mode, either over automatic or TTL flash control.
Modelling Light To judge the illumination.
HSS High Speed Synchronisation permits using the flash with shutter times that are higher than the X-sync shutter speed of the camera.
Automatic Flash Mode A photo-sensor measures the light reflected by the subject and ends the light output as soon as the subject has been correctly lit.
