Complete power protection Connect critical equipment directly to the outlet block on the UPS to protect against all kinds of electrical disturbances including voltage surges, dips, subcycle outages and complete blackouts. Protection for peripherals In addition to power outlets with backup power, surge-only outlets are provided to protect peripherals such as printers, scanners, Zip drives, etc. Even AC adapters can be plugged right into the outlets! System and data integrity (USBS versions) A USB + serial port is provided for easy communication between your Pulsar ellipse and your computer, ensuring safe system shutdown in the event of a power problem. Data line protection (USBS versions) The data line protection port eliminates disturbances carried on telephone/fax/modem/Internet lines or ethernet 10/100 networks.

USB and Serial Backup time management With programmable outlets, invented by MGE UPS SYSTEMS, The new com port of Pulsar ellipse is designed for both USB and Serial communications. The necessary cords are supplied in the package for seamless use in USB-compatible environment (Windows XP/Me/2000 - MacOS X & 9) as well as in Serial-compatible environment (Linux, Windows NT, Netware,.). Data Line protection for phone lines and networks lines The new data line protection on ellipse is compatible with phone lines (for fax/modem/internet lines, including xDSL,) and Ethernet 10/100 Mbits. Whether used at home or in the office, Pulsar ellipse is a complete protection for your connected equipment. Hibernate Mode In case of very long power outage, the MGE solution-Pac software can be configured to activate the Hibernate Mode of your PC : when power restores, you are immediately back exactly where you were before the outage ! critical applications can be assigned longer backup times. This Powershare function is available on the Pulsar ellipse 1200.

Pulsar ellipse ranging from 300 to 1200VA , is perfect for your PC, Workstations, external storage systems and peripherals. Pulsar ellipse has smart stand-by technology. If the input voltage is out of 96-138V window, Pulsar ellipse will switch automatically to the battery to provide 120V to your equipment.
Pulsar ellipse premium ranging from 500 to 1200 VA , is perfect for your PC, multimedia, high-end workstations, PC servers, storage systems and small servers. Pulsar ellipse premium has lineinteractive technology. Its Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) automatically corrects brownout conditions allowing you to work through brownouts without unnecessary battery drain. Pulsar ellipse premium provides continual power to your equipment in under-voltage conditions without using batteries. With this feature, batteries will last longer. Quality power Voltage variations are automatically corrected by the booster device, ensuring high-quality power for computer systems without frequent transfers to battery power. Adaptable The thresholds for transfer to battery power may be adjusted using the supplied Solution-Pac software. Universal The wide input-voltage range avoids frequent transfers to battery power. Maximum backup time is conserved for real problems.

The Pulsar ellipse and ellipse premium comprise four power ratings that can communicate via USB or serial port, depending on the model.
