The ScanMaker s400 offers best-of-class digital imaging quality such as 48 bit colour depth, 4800 x 9600 dpi optical resolution and Hi-Speed USB 2.0 connectivity. He offers seven smart touch buttons on the front panel and a 8.5 x 11.7 inch scan area. It is perfect for those who need a scanner that delivers high-resolution, professional styling, fast scanning speeds, easy to use and great image quality at an affordable price. With its impressive and enhanced functionality, the ScanMaker s400 was developed to handle all your digital imaging you needs. It integrates the latest technologies into its hardware to enable you accomplishing complicated tasks with just the push of a button. All the software you need is in the box, including powerful scanning, image editing and OCR tools. Additionally there is also the award winning SilverFast SE from LaserSoft. It includes the new Smart Remove of defects application called SRDTM as well as the adaptive colour restoration ACRTM which is a key break through in returning faded photos and film into their original brilliance. Furthermore the grain and noise elimination called GANE is integrated. With this features the picture becomes more clogged and noise will be deleted. For the untrained user there is also the ScanPilot, which guides step by step through the application. Optionally the SilverFast HDR is availiable. The SilverFast HDR is the best supplement to SilverFast SE, ideal for using 48 bit raw scan data. The integrated JobManager contains a batch scan function for faster and more effective workflow for 48 bit raw scan data. The user just inserts the corrections into a list and the JobManager does the rest.

LightLid 35 Plus film adapter The optional transparency unit LightLid 35 Plus scan slides or filmstrips. In one step you can scan filmstrips or up to four slides at one time. The LightLid 35 Plus can be easily connected with the adapter cable and needs no extra power supply.
