2) Fraud All benefits under this cover are forfeited if a fraudulent declaration or claim is made. 3) Transfer This cover is not transferable to any other equipment. It may, however, be assigned to another person with our written consent. 4) Contribution If at any time of any loss arising under this cover there is an insurance policy covering such loss, we will not be liable for more than our rateable proportion. 5) Replacement a) If we consider the equipment to be beyond economic repair we may pay you a contribution towards the cost of new equipment of similar specification. Alternatively we may, at our discretion replace the equipment with a product of the same or similar specification. PLEASE NOTE: The original equipment becomes our property and may not be disposed of without our consent. b) Upon final settlement of the claim, we will have discharged our liability under this cover. What is covered 1) Parts labour and call out costs if your product breaks down up to the original price you paid for the product 2) Replacement. If we consider the product to be beyond economic repair we may pay you a contribution towards the replacement cost of new equipment of a similar specification. Alternatively we may at our discretion replace the product with another of the same of similar specification. The original equipment then becomes our property and may not be disposed of without our consent. Upon final settlement of the claim, we will have discharged our liability under this cover. Any guarantee or warranty cover applicable on a new machine will begin from date of delivery. Exceptions to cover These exceptions are applicable to all sections of this cover except where indicated. 1) We shall not be liable for loss, damage or costs incurred: a) For which the manufacturer, supplier or another person may be held responsible under the terms of another warranty or guarantee. b) In respect of, or as a result of, modification of all equipment in a model range. c) If the equipment is, or has been used for commercial or other non-domestic purposes, unless otherwise endorsed on the Cover Document. d) Outside the United Kingdom, The Isle of Man and the Channel Islands, unless otherwise endorsed on the cover document. e) In respect of, or as a result of, routine maintenance, descaling, cleaning, overhaul or modification. f) Where no fault is found in the equipment. 2) We shall not be liable for loss, damage or costs incurred as a result of: a) Accidental damage, corrosion, impact, malicious damage or theft or attempted theft. b) Storm, flood, fire, lightning or explosion. c) Ionisation, radiation or, unless naturally occurring, contamination by radioactivity. d) Pressure waves caused by aircraft and other devices travelling at sonic or supersonic speeds. e) Strikes or industrial action. f) Disregard of manufacturers operating/user maintenance instructions. g) Modification or servicing not in accordance with manufacturers instructions. h) Incorrect installation, modification or maintenance of electricity or water supplies or systems. i) Suspension or termination of any mains service due to any act, failure or default by you or other persons. j) Loss of use or other consequential loss, including loss or damage caused while gaining access to or reinstating fitted equipment. k) Unblocking of the pump of washing machines. 3) The following shall apply to all equipment: We shall not be liable in respect of plugs, fuses, dents, cabinets, cosmetic trim, cables, filters and attachments.

Important! Your claim must be received within 28 days of date or purchase. If for any reason, the delivery of your appliance is delayed, you should submit your claim anyway. Your details will be used by Miele and Domestic & General group of companies for guarantee administration, breakdown insurance and marketing purposes. No information supplied by you will be disclosed to any third party (except sometimes in relation to repairing your equipment). Please note: You do not need to register your appliance for the second year guarantee, as it will be covered. 1) This offer is available from 1 September 2006 to 30 November 2006 inclusive. 2) It applies to Miele washing machines models W 1514, Polaris (W 1515), Komfort (W 1713), W 1714, W 2129, W 261, WT 2670, W 2209 i, WT 2679 i, T 7634, T 7734, T 4162, T 7644 C, T 7744 C, T 4262 C, T 4462 C, T 9246 C, T 8432 C, T 8622 C, T 8623 C, T 9446 C, T 8685 C, Allerdry (T 4464 C), T 4839 C and T 4839 Ci. It excludes Premier 520, T 224, T 234 C and Prestige Plus (W 524). 3) This offer applies to new appliances only, purchased through Miele stockists and does not apply to appliances purchased second hand or through private sale. 4) All applications for the free extended warranty, which covers call out, parts and labour, must be received on this official application form together with proof of purchase within 28 days of the date of purchase. If you have any queries relating to the application or if you do not receive your cover document within this time, please contact the Miele Helpline on (08706) 080028. 5) The 3 year extended warranty strictly applies from the date of purchase and follows on from the manufacturers 2 year guarantee. 6) Proof of purchase will not be accepted as proof of receipt. No responsibility can be accepted for applications lost, damaged or delayed in transit. Claims procedure If your Miele appliance breaks down you should a) Check the fault section of your appliance operating instructions. b) Check that your appliance is plugged in, properly installed and correctly fused. c) To arrange a repair contact Miele on (08707) 554466 to arrange a service visit. d) Any service work must be carried out by an authorised Miele Service Agent or Mieles service engineers. Conditions of cover 1) Failure to obtain an authorisation number from the Domestic Appliance Claims Department for any one claim that is estimated to be in excess of 175 could affect the final settlement.
