P-600AL "Closet Cyclist 2" instructions manual
Thank you for purchasing Minoura "P-600AL Closet Cyclist 2" bicycle display stand. This stand can hold up to two bikes in a narrow space vertically in order to save your storage space as much as possible. Please read this instructions manual to assemble and use the stand correctly

Install both side Front Legs to the Leg Base Plate with supplied M6x35 type-A bolt, Flat washer, Collar and M6 Nylon nut. (see Fig. A)

Place the Rear Leg on the Leg Base Plate, and apply the Pillar

Base Plate onto the assembled legs. Put the M6x40 type-A bolt with Spring and Flat washer into the front side hole and tighten them temporarily. (see Fig. B)

Required Tools for Assembling 1 x 5mm Hex Wrench 1 x 13mm Open Wrench
Put the M6x40 type-A bolt with Spring and Flat washer into the backside hole and tighten firmly. After that, tighten the front side bolt firmly too. (see Fig. C)

Insert the Main Pillar onto the Pillar Base Plate. Apply the Backside Leg on the back of the Main Pillar, then tighten with the supplied two M6x18 type-B bolts temporarily

Install the Reinforcement Bars to the Main Pillar with supplied M6x70 type-A bolt, Plastic washer, M6 flat washer and M6 Nylon nut. Then tighten the M6x18 bolts on the Backside Leg firmly. (see Fig. E)

Once disassemble the Stainless Band Clip. Wind the Stainless Band around the Main Pillar, insert the tip between the Rectangle Nut and the box part of the band, and apply the Plastic Bracket. Attach the Upper Hook or Lower Hook onto the Plastic Bracket, then tighten the bolt securely. (see Fig. F & G)

P-600 is a tall stand, so you must maintain the balance whenever you use it to prevent from any accident. Adjust the Height Adjuster on each legs to keep the Main Pillar vertically, then tighten the Lock Nut firmly with 13mm open wrench. (see Fig. H)

IMPORTANT NOTICES
For use of normal human-powered 2-wheel bicycles only. Heavy and long bikes such as tandem, electric assisted and downhill / freeride bikes don't fit P-600AL. P-600AL may lose balance when hanging bike on just one side only depends on the bike weight. Be careful about the stability when taking off the bike. You should setup P-600AL along a wall to prevent falling backward problem. Do not install the bike on the backside of P-600AL.

Tightening Torque: 5.2 N.m
Install both right and left Front Legs to the Leg Base Plate with the supplied M6x35 bolt (type-A), Flat washer, Collar and M6 Nylon nut. (see Fig. A)

Be sure the Legs are different for right side and left side. Each Reinforcement Bar must be located inward. Be sure the collar insertion direction is different on right and left side. Follow as shown in Fig. A.

Place the Rear Leg on the Leg Base Plate, and put the Pillar Base Plate onto the assembled legs. Put the M6x45 bolt (type-A) with M6 Nylon Nut M6 Flat M6 Flat Washer into the front side Washer hole, then tighten to M6 Nylon Nut temporarily. (see Fig. B) Put the M6x45 bolt (type-A) with M6 Flat washer into the backside hole and tighten to M6 M6 Nylon Nut Nylon Nut firmly. Main Pillar After that, tighten the front side bolt firmly too. (see Fig. C) Insert the Main Pillar onto the Pillar Base Plate. Make sure the Main Pillar must cover on the bracket, not placing beside the bracket. (see Fig. D)

Required Tools for Assembling 1 x M5 Hex Wrench (supplied) 1 x 10mm Spanner 1 x 13mm Spanner Small Tips:
To obtain 5.2 N.m tightening torque, apply 7.1 kgs (= 14.6 lbs) pwor to the 75mm (= 3 inch) long hex wrench.

Attach the Backside Leg on the back of the Main Pillar, then tighten with the supplied two M6x18 bolts (type-B) temporarily. Please note that you will tighten M6x18 Bolt these bolts firmly after installing the Reinforcement Bars. (see Fig. E) Backside Leg

Raise up the Reinforcement Bars and attach to the Main Pillar with the supplied M6x70 bolt (type-A), Plastic Shim, M6 flat washer and M6 Nylon nut. After installing the Reinforcement Bars, adjust the Backside Leg height to touch the floor all together, then tighten the M6x18 bolts on the Backside Leg firmly. (see Fig. F) Install Upper Hook (Fig. G) and Lower Hook (Fig. H) to the Main Pillar. Each bike requires both hooks and they are fully position adjustable. Find out the best position to hang down your bike most efficiently. To install the Stainless Band Clip, follow the steps below; 1) Once disassemble the Stainless Band Clip. 2) Open the band and wind it around the Main Pillar. 3) Lap the band ends (see Fig. I). The end with a welded nut must be inward. Make sure that the nut is located in perfectly parallel to the Main Pillar. If not, adjust the bending angle. 4) Attach the Plastic Bracket onto the band. It should be snapped in. 5) Put the bolt into the hole on the hook, then screw into the bracket gently.

If the inside band end with welded nut has been angled against the bolt, you won't be able to screw the bolt in. Make sure the nut side end is properly set at right angle to the bolt. (see Fig. J) Do not push the bolt so much when screwing in. The band end will have to be bent and you are no longer tighten the bolt.
6) Adjust the hook position and tighten the bolt firmly. (Tightening Torque: 5.2 N.m)
Please attach the Lower Hook from the back of the rear wheel to support it, otherwise the bike will not become vertical to save the space due to the bike's weight balance.
