The item with the background is the one currently selected. Press the Mode button to select and enter this option. A short-press of the PLAY button will quit the menu. Button Functions of the Standard Menu A short-press or long-press of Vol- will move the background downward step by step till the item at the bottom, then turn over to the next screen till the last screen, then go back to the first screen. A short-press or long-press of Vol+ is opposite to that of Vol-. A short-press of MODE will select the enabled icon and execute its corresponding function. A short-press of A-B will enter the recording mode and start recording. A short-press of PLAY will quit the menu. Special Quit Function Auto quit for idling for 5 seconds. Restore of the enabled position Each time when you enter the menu, the player will restore to the enabled position where you quit last time. The Standard Slide Bar Note: The standard slide bar offers an interface for selecting numbers. In each functional module interface, the standard slide bar will be repeatedly used. Its format is as shown in the Fig below.

A short-press of A-B will enter the recording interface and start recording. 1.7 Battery Level There are all together 9 levels for measuring the battery energy. stands for low battery. stands for full battery. 1.8 Battery Charge USB charge: Connect to PC directly via USB: The MP3 display will automatically indicate the link menu after the connection, and the battery icon at the right bottom of the menu will demonstrate the recharging in a motional way provided the battery is low. Contrarily it will demonstrate a full battery icon if the battery is full. Shortly press the MODE key to enter the main operation interface, and you will still find the battery indication under the interface of Music, Voice and so on. Remarks: Link menu still being indicated during re-plugging and reunplugging. Adapter charge: Connect directly to Adapter under power-off mode: The MP3 display will automatically indicate the recharging menu after the connection, and the battery icon at the right bottom of the menu will demonstrate the recharging in a motional way provided the battery is low. Contrarily it will demonstrate a full battery icon if the battery is full. Shortly press the MODE key to enter the main operation interface, and you will still find the battery indication under the interface of Music, Voice and so on. Remarks: The current operation interface will not be influenced when connecting to the Adapter under power-on mode, and the recharging process is still noticeable

2 Main Menu There are 8 functions available: music, recorder, voice, radio, pic, settings, video and e-book. 2.1.1 The interface is as shown in the Fig below.

You can only enter the mode represented by the one that is located in the center and has colors. 2.1.2 Button Function in the Main Interface A short-press or long-press of NEXT will cycle the selection position to right. A short-press or long-press of LAST will cycle the selection position to left. A short-press of MODE will confirm and enter this mode. A Long-press will return to the main interface. A short-press of A-B will enter the recording function and start recording. A long-press of PLAY will turn the player off. 3 Turn On/Off 3.1 Turn Off A long-press of PLAY will turn off the player. When the player idles for a time that reaches what the user specifies to turn off the player, the player will be turned off automatically. When the USB port of the player is connected to a PC, however, this function will be overridden. 3.2 Turn On A long-press of PLAY will turn on the player. 3.3 Low Battery If the battery is low, the player will automatically go into the Stand By mode. In this case, do not turn on the player again. 4 Musical File Playback The Musical File Playback function realize the playback of musical files in MP3 and WMA formats along with the features of repeating, following and contrasting. It has the interfaces of Stop, Playing, Lyrics Display, Repeating, Deleting, Directory Selecting, as well as function selection and settings. 4.1 The Stop Interface In the Stop interface, the current music stops at the current playback position, waiting for the operations from the user. Even if the user turns off the player, it should restore to this status to realize the function of resuming playback. If you stop in the lyrics mode, please go in interfaces other than lyrics. In the Stop interface, you can choose the current song. The interface is as shown in the Fig below.

A short-press of A-B will enter into the recording function. 4.2 Functions in the Playing Interface 4.2.1 The Playing interface is as shown in the Fig below.

Long-Press of NEXT: Function as fast forward till the end of a song. Long-Press of LAST: Function as fast backward till the beginning of a song. Short-Press of NEXT: The music fades out in 2 seconds. The player jumps to the next song and start playing. In this case, the next song is selected based on the current playing mode. If the current mode is Cycling One, then the next song is selected based on Cycling All. Short-Press of LAST: Function oppositely to NEXT. Hold-On of Vol+: The volume will increase. Hold-On of Vol-: The volume will decrease. Short-Press of A-B: Enter into the Repeat interface and confirm the A point. One more short-press of A-B will confirm the B point and start repeating the segment between A and B. The third short-press of A-B will cancel the repeating. 4.2.2 Invalid Files Processing When the player encounters invalid files during auto or manual selection of songs, the message Format Error will display. Two seconds later, the player will return to the Stop interface.

4.2.3 Playing Menu Interface Note: This interface provides the user with the following options: Repeat: To set the ways for playing songs. Equalizer: To set sound effects for the playing songs. Tempo rate: To adjust the speed of song playing, except for the songs in
the WMA format. Replay: To enter the Repeat interface and start the Repeat function. Replay Times: To set the times for repeating. Replay gap: To set the interval between each repeating playing. Exit: Return to the Playing mode. The music is still playing.

A short-press of NEXT or A-B will set the B point. Then the segment between A and B will play repeatedly. After a short-press of LAST or A-B or the set repeating times, the repeat function will be cycled. Follow-> Repeat. For A short-press of NEXT will enter the cycle of the follow, ADPCM is adopted to record sound. The recording duration is 10% longer than the repeat. The minimum recording duration is 1 second. A short-press of LAST will return to the Repeat function.

Auto Repeat Operation When you enter Auto Repeat, the A in will flash. A short-press of NEXT/A-B will set the A point, and then B will flash. If the player finds a blank or after a short-press of NEXT/A-B, the Repeat will display, and the player will start repeating the segment between A and B. After the set repeat times, the B point will be automatically set to the A point of the next segment, and then the B point is wanted. A short-press of LAST will cycle the Setting->Repeat function. A short-press of NEXT will enter the cycle of Repeat-> Follow. For the follow, ADPCM is adopted to record sound. The recording duration is 10% longer than the repeat. If the subsequent songs have lyrics, then the player will still work in the Lyrics Show interface. If there is no lyrics, then the player will return to the Playing interface to play the subsequent songs.

Interface Display English Songs:
<Lyrics Synchronization> The screen is split into an upper part and a lower part. Generally, a line in the LRC corresponds to a part. If a line in the LRC has more than 28 characters, the rest characters in the line will be displayed in the other part. For each part, the sync time tag is calculated by averaging. Note that, if a new line appears in the middle of a word, a - is required to connect the two lines, but for a word with only two characters, the whole word will be displayed in the next line. When the song is playing, its lyrics will be highlighted, and the next sentence of the lyrics will wait in the other part. The waiting lyrics will be highlighted when its time comes. The next sentence will be displayed in the part where the last sentence has finished its presence. Whereas the time in LRC usually has some delay, the lyrics can be showed 1 second ahead. Button Function in the Lyrics Show Interface Short-Press of Mode: To return to the Playing interface. Short-Press of Play: To quit the Lyrics interface and enter the Stop interface. Long-Press of Next: Function as fast forward till the end of a song. will be displayed. Long-Press of LAST: Function as fast backward till the beginning of a song. will be displayed. <Firmware Upgrade> Operation Instructions If the player is not connected to the USB Port, press Mode to return to the System menu. PC requests processing. When receiving and processing the general requests from PC, the status of the player are switched between Ready and Busy. When receiving the material download upgrade request, the player will switch to the Doing status, and execute the download upgrade. When receiving the material upload backup request, the player will switch to the Doing status, and execute the upload backup. b. Download Upgrade Download Upgrade is to download the system firmware version from the PC side into the player and overwrite the current firmware version in the player. Moreover, if both the system firmware and its backup are damaged, the Download Upgrade can repair the system firmware. The Download Upgrade interface is as shown in the Fig below. Doing: UPGRADE is upgrading or backing up materially, so users cant cancel the upgrade at this time.

Operation Instructions Dont respond to button operations. PC requests processing. It takes about 15 seconds to finish the Download Upgrade. After finishing the Download Upgrade, the player will switch to the Done status. 1 second later, the system will restart to complete the upgrade. Abnormity Disposal If the communication fails during the Download Upgrade, set the retry times to restore the communications. When suspend occurs during the Download Upgrade, Fail should be displayed. The system will restart in 1 second so as to utilize the backup of the system firmware to restore the system firmware. 13. Notice To extend the playing time of the player, please set the screen to the Dim mode in playing files other than AMV movies. The Energy Saving Mode and Sleeping Mode can also prolong the playing time of the player. 14. 14.2 AMV Convert Tool * Select AMV Convert Tool to enter the next interface:
* Click the button to select the file which needs to be converted, click the button to select the location of converted file with.AMV format (you cannot change the file name here but just to select the route of the converted file) * After selecting the file you need to convert, then click the button and you will get the next information as below:
* Here you can select the frame-rate of AMV file: low, middle, high, the default frame-rate is middle After the setting up, click the button Yes to get back to the mail interface of converting (note: when running the tool next time the setup will remain default) Click button and get the software begin to work as showed below:

* When the progressing-bar indicates 100% completion, it will show as followed:
* Click the button YES to finish the converting and you will find the converted file with.AMV format according to your selected route, copy this file to the MP3 and enter the Video interface to find and play it by using the 5-direction Key 14.3 AMV Player Select AMV Player:

14.4 MP3 Player Update Tool This tool is used for upgrading of firmware * MP3 Player firmware upgrading tool is used for upgrading a new firmware or recovering damaged firmware for MP3 Player. Following are the steps. * First, make sure connect MP3 Player with computers USB port normally, and no other removable disk connecting to this computers USB port. * Second, run this tool. If MP3 Players internal firmware working normally, it switched to upgrading mode. The information of internal firmware will be displayed in the top-left group box.

* Click the button "Select new firmware file" to select a new firmware file you want to upgrade, the information of selected firmware file will be displayed in the top-right group box. Then, click the button "Begin upgrading" to start upgrading the new firmware.
* If MP3 Players internal firmware is damaged, this toll will switch to recovering mode. It will prompt user to select a firmware file for recovering MP3 Players internal firmware. The information of selected firmware file will be displayed in the top-right group box. Then, click the button "Begin upgrading" to start upgrading new firmware.

* If upgrading or recovering successfully, the tool will show "Upgrade is success, the program will exit". Click OK button, the tool will closed automatically, and all upgrading or recovering done. * ATTENTION, DONT DISCONNECT MP3 PLAYER DURING UPGRADING OR RECOVERING. 14.5 Sound Convert Tool * The tool is designed for format conversion from rcd/rec/act to WAV for recording files , with the function of files playback in WAV, MP3 format files included. * The definition of buttons on the interface is as the follows: [Open]Open a file. If the file is in WAV or MP3 formatit can be played at onceIf the file is in rcd/rec/act formatit should be converted first and then played.
* [Convert]Start converting. This button is not available Except the file is in rcd/rec/act format.
* [Help]Pop-up this dialog box. * [Exit]Exit this tool. 14.6 Uninstall * Select Uninstall to begin the uninstallation of the software: * Click the button YES to begin deleting the software:

RESET FUNCTION
