2 Display and operating instruction 2.1 Turning on the MP3 player Push the PLAY button for several seconds. The LCD display will light up. 2.2 Main menu Five options: 1) MUSIC 2) FM 3) RECORD 4) VOICE 5) SYSTEM
You can switch between those 5 options by sliding the MODE button. right or left Then push shortly on the MODE button to enter the submenu or confirm the function. The main menu list is as following:

6. USB

Select 1.MUSIC mode in the main menu. Press MODE key to enter MUSIC mode. 2.2.1 Lyrics display synchronization The player supports LRC V0.2 format. It will show the corresponding lyrics synchronously with the playback. The LRC document should be identical with the name of the song. If no lyrics are available, it will show ID3 information. 2.2.2 Playback function submenu Enter into playback submenu by pressing the MODE button during playback.

The submenu structure:

1. Repeat 2. EQ Select 3. A-B Replay 4. Exit 2.2.3 Repeat mode Press MODE button to enter into repeat mode submenu: 1. Normal 2. Repeat One 3. Repeat All 4. Introduce Select the desired playback mode by sliding the button right or left . Confirm by pressing the MODE button 2.2.4 EQU mode Enter into sound effect submenu. 1. Natural 2. Rock 3. POP 4. Classic 5. Soft 6. Jazz 7. DBB 8.User
Choose a soundeffect by sliding the MODE button to the right 2.2.5 A-B replay mode
The idea of this mode is to select a part of a song that will be repeated continuously. Afterwards you can imitate that song while your voice is recorded. In the end the the real song and your recording will be heared. 2.2.5.1 Selection of the A-B section
Select A-B Replay mode. The letter A- on the LCD screen flashes.
Slide right to indicate the start of the section. At this moment the A- is fix and the B starts to flash. Slide right again to indicate the end of the section. The A-B icon does not flash and the play becomes repeated play icon icon. The selected section between point A and point B is repeated continuously.
2.2.5.2 Record A-B section After the replay from the A-B section , you can slide right to record your own voice.The microphone icon becomes visible. The recordtime is the same as the time of the A-B section. After finishing the recording, it plays the original A-B section again.

Slide right during the original playback to hear your recorded voice. Otherwise the recording will restart, and the previous recording will be lost. Push the MODEbutton any time to leave this menu.
2.3 FM Reception Radio mode has five states: stop, search, receiving, auto, store. Select 2. FM mode in the main menu. Push the MODE button to enter FM radio mode. 2.3.1 Radio Press button to play FM radio programs, slide right or left to select the stored channels. 2.3.2 Search station Search station includes manual, half-auto and auto.
2.3.2.1 Manually searching In RECEIVING state, push the MODE button to enter SEARCHING state. The frequency will increase or decrease 0.1 MHz by each right or left slide. The channel range is 87.5-108 MHz.
2.3.2.2 Half-auto searching In SEARCHING state: Slide right or left and hold. The device will automatically search for the next available station 2.3.2.3 Auto searching Push the MODE button and hold for a few seconds. The device will enter auto searching mode During auto searching, all the channels (87.5-108 MHz) will be searched, once a valid signals is found ,the device will store it automatically. The player can store uptill 30 channels (CH01-CH30). Note: 1 storing at this time is temporary, if you really want to keep it, you must exit the searching mode and press button to power off, the station will be stored. If you interrupt the power prior to power off normally, the station will not be stored. 2 Because the antenna of FM is connected to the earphone holder,the earphone wire must be connected during searching. 2.3.2.4 Store station During manual or half-automatic searching, press to save the station and select the stored station number (CH**) by pressing or . Press button again to confirm storage. Push MODE button to cancel storage and return to searching state. Press MODE button to switch between receiving and searching state. In Stop state, push button to enter receiving state if there are stations stored and to enter searching state if there are no stations stored. During receiving or searching state, push button to enter stop the state. In Stop state, press MODE key to exit main menu.
2.4 Recording mode Select 3. Recording mode in the main menu. Push the MODE button to enter 3. RECORD mode There are three recording formats: Fine record, long record and VOX record. 2.4.1 Record In Record mode, press 2.4.2 Pause During recording, press key to record. key to pause.

2.4.3 Stop button to During the recording or in the Pause state, push and hold stop recording and store the record. In Stop state, press the MODE button to exit recording mode and return to main menu. 2.4.4 Denoise record Denoise record is the same as VOX record, When using VOX record, the player enters into the state of pause recording if no sound is dedected by the microphone. The screen will show the waiting icon and it starts to record again when sound is dedected. 2.4.5 Abnormal mode 1)Each directory only supports 99 recording documents. The system shows Out of amount!when one directory is full. 2)The system will show Out of space.when the memory is full.
2.5 Voice mode Select 4. VOICE in the main menu. Push MODE button to confirm. 2.5.1 Voice play In the mode of record play, push 2.5.2 Pause voice play During playback, push button to play record.

2.6 System setup Select 5. SYSTEM in the main menu. Push MODE button to confirm.
2.6.1 Directory selection Select 1. DIRECTORY in the main menu of system setup and push MODE button to enter the directory submenu. 1. Music Dir 2. Record Dir 3. Exit Push MODE button to confirm. 2.6.2 Lyrics On & Off Select 2. Lyric in the main menu of system setup and push MODE button to enter submenu. 1. Lyric On 2. Lyric Off Press or to select and confirm withMODE button 2.6.3 Memory info Select 3.Memory info in the main menu of system setup and push MODEbutton to show the memory status. 2.6.4 Rec. noise reduction Select 4. Rec Filter and push MODE button to enter Noise reduction recording: It has 7 levels: Level 0-Leve6. The system default is Level 2. Level 0 means no filter function and Level 6 is the highest noise filter. Push or to select and push MODE button to
confirm. 2.6.5 Backlight setting Select 5. Back Light in the main menu of system setup and push MODE button to enter. Slide right left to set the light activating time or and push MODE button to confirm. The setting time is 0-30sec. If it is set at 0 sec, indicating backlight is not used. 2.6.6 Power off setting Select 6. Auto Off in the main menu of system setup and push MODE button. Slide right or left to select and confirm with the MODE button. In Stop state, the device will power-off after setting time(max 60 sec) if nothing is touched during this period. The setting time is 0-60sec. Auto-off is cancelled when time is set at 0 sec. 2.6.7 Language selection Select 7. Font Set in the main menu of system setup and push MODE or button to enter submenu, slide right left to select and confirm with the MODE button.

range is between 00 (lightest) and 31 (darkest). 2.6.9 Delete File Select 9. Delete File in the main menu of system setup and push MODE button to enter submenu: 1. Del Music 2. Del Record 3. Exit Enter in next submenu with MODE button: 1. Delete One 2. Delete All 3. Exit If you choose Delete one, youll able to select a song. Confirm removal with button to delete If you choose Delete All detailed submenu shows: 1. Yes 2. No 2.6.10 Firmware edition Select 10. Firmware Version in the main menu of system setup and push MODE button to confirm. The information of the firmware is displayed. 2.6.11 Recording format Select 11. Record Mode in the main menu of system setup and press MODE button to enter its submenu, slide or to select and confirm with MODE button. Fine REC Long REC

When PC is connecting with the player , the system will show Busy. It means the device is transporting data and other operations are forbidden.
The player will return to the main menu automatically when connection between PC and the player is cut off. Note: The player supplies WIN98/WIN ME /WIN 2K./ WIN XP system format (under WIN 2K/WIN XP system, only support FAT/FAT16 format.) 2.7 Volume adjustment Press VOL+ and VOL- to adjust volume. 2.8 HOLD HOLD key is located at the side. Once activated , all the keys will be locked and the Hold icon will light on. 2.9 Power off In Stop state, push and hold will power off. button for 5 seconds,the device

2.10 Install driver

If your PC has a WIN98 system, the driver (not needed with WINDOWS2000/XP) must be installed prior to using the player. You can find driver software in the additional CD-ROM. AStartup WIN98 operating system BInsert CD-ROM into CD drive. CRun the installation software. DRestart the system. EInsert the MP3 player into USB port of PC, the system will find the Portable-disk automatically. 2.11 Flash
This player supports the format procedure of Windows operating system to format the memory of player. When formatting the memory under Windows2000/WindowsXP operating system, Select the FAT format in the File system prompt column of operating interface, dont choose others. Otherwise the player will refuse to function.

2.12 Upload and download, removal of MP3 songs or other files After the MP3 player is connected to PC, the PC will identify the player as a Portable (D:) drive, hence the operating process for the MP3 player is the same as operating its own HD or SD. From the PC all the files on the player can be copied and deleted. ADDENDUM

ACT to WAVE file conversion
When using the voice recorder, data is stored in ACT files. These ACT files can be easily converted into WAVE files with the attached software. Please install the software and follow the instructions. Chinese text
By accident, the menu on MP3 player can be changed from English into Chinese. To change back to English, please follow these steps: Select page 4/5 by pushing the button left or right, press it once. Select page 7/11 by pushing the button left or right, press it once. Select page 3/4 by pushing the button left or right, press it once The English language is selected.
