The Analog Port Adapter (with or without ringer) enables the Dterm Series i to support analog devices such as a cordless phone, fax machine or modem. The Ancillary Device Adapter enables the connection of a recording device. The CT Adapter with an RS232 connection enables the use of TAPI applications. The IP Adapter enables IP connectivity for the Dterm Series i.

With a single touch of the MIC key, the users microphone is muted, shutting off transmission from a noisy office or allowing the user to hold a separate private conversation. The Message button lets you check your voice mail with just one touch, while the Directory key displays a list of numbers. The detachable Key Block allows you to easily customize keys for a foreign language or an Automatic Call Distribution application. The numbers and letters are even laser printed to last longer. Extend Your Business Performance With Remote Access Capability
hat was once a trend is quickly becoming a well-established norm: a workforce of off-site telecommuters that operate beyond the physical confines of todays corporate office. Including small satellite offices, homes or even centralized telecommuting sites, such operations help companies improve productivity, attract and retain skilled employees, lower real estate costs, and provide more flexible service to the customer. But for these sites to appear a seamless extension of the primary operation, they require access to the same communications features and functions as exist in-house
in other words, voice and data access. Thats where NECs Dterm Analog EXTender comes in. The Dterm Analog EXTender provides off-site employees with the full features of their NEAX or Electra Elite Telephone System, no matter where these individuals happen to be located, and does so over a standard analog Telephone System line (POTS). Remote workers can use the same Dterm deskset used in the office*, with transparent access to all the functionality of the in-house host system. The Dterm EXTenders Remote Voice Protocol (RVP) multiplexes voice and data, so that users can also connect their computers to the office LAN over the same POTS line that provides voice. Such flexibility can result in many powerful benefits for todays versatile businesses. Call center agents can work remotely; executives can stay
in touch, even when at home; off-premise knowledge workers can access information tools; and small branch offices remain completely connected.
