DECT Repeater A repeater can be deployed when a need to extend the range of a DECT telephone arises. The repeater can also be utilized wherever there is a need to increase limited coverage or improve reception in remote areas. Our development specialists have created a repeater which now make it possible to double the range of a DECT base station. And, in addition to increased range, RTXs repeater can ensure seamless intercell handover from the area covered by the base station to the area covered by a repeater, and vice versa. It is also possible to register multiple repeaters (up to a total of six) to a single base station, thereby extending coverage range and reception quality even further. Up to 6 repeaters per base station. 2 internal antennas SMB connector for an external directional antenna. The external directional antenna can be used to create DECT coverage in a remote area from the DECT base station. The common PCB mechanics measures only 82mm47.5mm and is housed in a discrete plastic housing measuring only 120x130x35 mm. The DECT Repeater is designed in accordance with the Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications (DECT) standard.
Automatic registration method :
RTX has developed a new automatic registration method for use with its range of repeaters. The key to this approach is that the repeater automatically seeks out and acquires the DECT/GAP base station, which emits the most powerful signal. This feature is sure to appeal to a wide range of end users as it entirely eliminates the need for complex, time-consuming repeater-base station set up procedures. Its as simple as plug-and-play.
