Microwave ovens are just one in a range of clever compact appliances weve designed to enable you to extend your range of cooking options. These include a built-in CircoSteam oven, warming drawers and a coffee centre. In particular, our combination oven microwave models give you the extra flexibility you need in the kitchen; they can wonderfully mimic traditional cooking methods in a fraction of the time. Of course, Neff styling and quality are just the same as all our appliances, and they are designed so you can mix and match components to create an integrated look. Options

We have developed a variety of compact appliances to create a truly versatile kitchen: Oven microwave combinations The beauty of a combination model is that it can mimic all the benefits of a traditional oven like grilling and browning in a fraction of the time. Our models come with up to 52 different cooking programmes, and weight automatic cooking and defrosting. See p62 for full details on the differences between our combination models. Steam ovens Our steam and CircoSteam oven options are designed to be built into kitchen furniture, either alone, or combined with other Neff stainless steel cooking appliances. Steaming is recognised as one of healthiest ways of cooking food, as you dont need to use any fats and all the natural goodness in vegetables is retained. Our steam oven is clever it has integrated touch control operation with 5 temperature settings, and you can even steam food from frozen. Its perfect for people wanting a healthier lifestyle or watching their weight. The new CircoSteam oven is incredibly flexible and provides the opportunity to combine cooking by steam and conventional cooking at the same time providing fantastic results. Microwave ovens A great time and labour saver, no kitchen should be without a microwave oven. Whatever time day or night, you can whip up a meal in double quick time, using very little energy. Neff microwave ovens are all fully fitted so they really look the part in your kitchen. Warming drawers These not only heat up your plates before you serve up, they also keep your food warm until youre ready to eat. A useful addition to any cooks armoury, it can also be used for preparing yoghurt, defrosting delicate foods, proving dough, and melting chocolate. Coffee centre The ultimate built-in appliance for the coffee lover. The Neff coffee centre gets you from bean to cup in the touch of a button, for the freshest coffee imaginable. Theres no grinding and no mess, and it produces hot water at the perfect temperature for coffee. Espresso, cappuccino, latte the choice is yours. 3

Integration

All our compact appliances are designed to work in tandem with your oven. When youre combining them in a built-in kitchen unit, its important to consider height and positioning so you can use both appliances safely and easily. See our advice on combining appliances on p72-73 for more information. Choose from a range of finishes to create the ultimate, flexible kitchen. Our compact appliances are designed to work together seamlessly and simultaneously, increasing your cooking options and extending your horizons in the kitchen. In-Line Collection There are now five appliances which sit perfectly together to create a wall of Neff appliances. Pictured on p2-3, you can see how the new CircoSteam combination oven B8762, Coffee centre C7660 and Multifunction oven with microwave B6774 have been standardised in terms of aesthetics and sizing, to give a streamlined look when positioned together. An additional two models, Multifunction oven with microwave and grill B6784 and the Steam oven B8732 have been added to these three appliances to give us the In-Line Collection.

Efficiency

Energy Microwaves only use about 1 kilowatt of energy per hour compared to 5 kilowatts in many conventional ovens. Time Microwave ovens will save time in the kitchen. If you need to defrost something quickly or speed cook a dinner course, theyre the ideal solution.
Yes, all Neff ovens and compact appliances can have a warming drawer fitted underneath.
Can I roast a joint in a combination oven microwave?
Yes, a perfect roast in a fraction of the time. The combination oven microwave uses microwave technology and traditional cooking methods to give you the best possible result in the shortest possible time.

Finishes

All Neff compact appliances are available in stainless steel. Some combination oven microwaves and microwave ovens are available in different finishes from white to black and brown so you can choose one that suits your kitchen. See individual descriptions for full details.
Is there an easy way to judge defrosting times?
Most of our microwave oven and combination models have automatic defrosting programmes. Popular menus and foods are pre programmed into the oven. All you have to do is put the food in, select the appropriate programme and weight and the appliance will automatically select the correct power level and defrosting time. Always check food is thoroughly defrosted before cooking.

Cooking with your Neff combination oven
Our versatile compact appliances are designed to make your kitchen work harder. Our combination microwave ovens, for example, can stand in as a second oven or be used to reheat previously cooked meals from frozen. Cooking times
If youre in a hurry, microwaves are an asset to any cook, they cook food remarkably quickly. Cooking times vary depending on a number of factors. If food is dense a piece of meat, for instance it will take longer to cook than something porous like a cake. Chilled food takes longer to cook than foods at room temperature. The more food you put in a microwave the longer it takes to cook, and the shape and size of the food may also affect the length of time it needs in the microwave.

Power levels

All Neff microwave ovens have five power levels. In general, high power is used for reheating liquids and cooking vegetables, and lower settings for baking, roasting, defrosting and keeping foods warm.

Functions

Turntable A turntable in the base of the oven rotates through the microwaves to make sure theyre evenly distributed. Stirrer facility A metal fan in either the roof or bottom of the cavity which evenly distributes the microwave energy in the oven. Memory programme Neff microwaves can be programmed to run up to three power settings or timings consecutively. Recipe memory programme You can programme your microwave to remember one power level and cooking times of two of your most frequently used settings. Weight automatic cooking and defrosting facility When you enter the type of food youre cooking and how much it weighs, your microwave will automatically calculate the most suitable power and time for you. EasyStart This selects one minute of cooking time at any power level. InnoWave technology Inverter technology is used to regulate the microwaves inside the oven. This results in a more consistent, precise level of power, allowing food to be cooked faster and more evenly. Energy consumption can be reduced by up to 15%, and cooking times reduced by up to 10%. Microwave oven or combination oven/microwave?

Youll notice that there are 3 types of microwave and oven combination appliances in the Neff range. They are: 1. Microwave ovens As the name suggests, conventional microwave ovens use microwaves to cook food. Its a very fast and versatile system of cooking, perfect for heating ready meals, cooking from frozen, or defrosting food at any time of day or night. We have now introduced a Quartz grill on the new H5574 to provide even greater flexibility. 1 2. Multifunction oven with microwave The B6784 and B6774 are ovens with an integrated microwave. They can mix the functions of both, with the emphasis on the traditional oven heating elements when you see inside, it looks like a traditional three shelf oven. This is a great choice if you want to use oven functionality but with the added benefit of speed that the microwave function will give you. The new B6784 now also has a pyrolytic cleaning function. Images shown: 1 Multifunction oven with microwave B6774 3. Microwave combination oven The H5972 is first and foremost a microwave, but has a quartz grill to recreate traditional cooking results. This means it will produce food that looks like its been cooked in a normal oven, but do it much more quickly. This is ideal if you use a microwave a lot but want that oven cooked look.

Warming drawers

Warming drawers are a must have for the serious cook. Theyre useful and versatile, and will not only help you with the preparation and timing of your meals, but also are ideal for defrosting delicate foods.

Once you start using a Neff warming drawer, youll wonder how you ever did without one. Easily accessible on smooth telescopic runners, itll not only warm your plates before serving up, but keep pre-cooked food warm for you. Which is perfect if a guest is running late, or youre trying to get different elements of a meal together. As well as warming, they can be used to defrost delicate foods, melt chocolate, make yoghurt, and prove dough. There are two sizes available, one is 14cm high, which holds six international place settings; the other 29cm high, which holds twelve international place settings. Theyre easy to install and designed to co-ordinate with any single oven or compact appliance. And youll find the heated ceramic glass base plate is easy to clean, so spillages wipe off really easily.

Neff introduced CircoTherm cooking over 30 years ago. This method of forced air cooking continues to be the benchmark for all fan ovens. CircoSteam combines the advantages of steam cooking with CircoTherm for perfect results. (See page 20 for details.)

What is CircoTherm?

The principle
CircoTherm works by drawing air in from the oven via a powerful fan. It then heats up the air and forces it right back into the oven cavity through strategically placed ducts in the rear wall. By continuously circulating hot air around the oven in this way the desired temperature is achieved more quickly and evenly than in a normal oven. This saves time and energy as little or no pre heating is required. Because the hot air is focused directly onto the food being cooked, the heat is evenly distributed. In fact, a complete three course meal can be cooked at the same time without the flavours intermingling. As temperatures are lower, there is less splashing and spitting with CircoTherm, which makes cleaning the oven much easier too. CircoTherm is great for roasting because of the way and speed at which the heat is delivered, as a result roasts are quickly sealed. Neff ovens work on our unique CircoTherm cooking system (explained on previous page) but they also feature other cooking functions explained below.

Please note: different models feature different sets of functions.

CircoTherm

A powerful fan draws air from the interior of the oven. It then heats up the air and forces it right back into the oven cavity through strategically placed shaped ducts in the rear wall. This system means the oven heats up rapidly, and needs little or no preheating.

Intensive CircoTherm

Also referred to as Pizza Setting. Uses a combination of CircoTherm and bottom heat. This is ideal for anything that needs a crispy underside like pizzas, or speciality breads. It can also be used for one stage pastry such as lemon meringue pie, eliminating the need for blind baking.

Bread baking

The bread baking temperature varies between 180C and 220C. This is ideally suited to baking crusty bread with an open texture. Up to three levels of bread can be baked at the same time.

Top/bottom heat

Provides conventional sources of cooking heat at the top and bottom of the oven. Heat travels to the centre of the oven by natural conduction. This is ideal for baking pastries and scones.

Bottom heat

Providing heat from the bottom of the oven only, for more focused heat and control. This method is ideal for pizza bases and pastry cases where you need a crispy underside.

CircoRoasting

The grill element cycles on and off alternately, and the fan distributes the heat produced by the grill. This method can reduce cooking times by 35%-40% and is ideal for meats and poultry if youre after a rotisserie result.

Full surface grill

The grill element is situated in the oven roof. It is thermostatically controlled and will cycle on and off to maintain the required temperature.

Defrost

The CircoTherm fan will circulate unheated air through the oven to speed up defrosting times. Ideal for delicate foods as well as fish and poultry.

Centre surface grill

You can use just the centre section of the grill for smaller quantities.

Cooking with induction: Magnetic induction cooking requires cooking vessels with a ferromagnetic base. To see if your cookware is suitable, simply test it with a magnet - if the magnet is attracted to the base, the utensil is suitable for induction cooking. Induction cooking safety note: Although the emission from this product meets all International Safety Requirements, it is not impossible that delicate electronic aids, such as heart pacemakers, could be affected when the wearer is in close proximity to the cooktop in full operation. Seek professional advice if in any doubt.

Canopy rangehoods

As much a visual statement as an essential kitchen tool. Neff offers two stylish 900mm wall mounted options.
Rangehoods work in one of two ways:
Ducted - Which removes the air out of the room via ducting. Recirculation - Which passes the air though a series of filters and back into the room.
Ducted is preferable, but not always possible in apartments or where the rangehood is too far from an outside wall. In these instances optional charcoal filters are also used for purification. Charcoal filters should be replaced every 12-18 months.
Under cupboard rangehoods
Designed to fit snugly under an overhead kitchen cabinet. Theyre discreet and save valuable space in the kitchen. A 730mm option is available.

Telescopic rangehoods

When space is at a premium a telescopic rangehood could be the answer. These clever hoods pull out from the wall when you need them, and can be totally concealed behind matching cabinetry. The Neff range includes two 600mm options and a 900mm model.

Metal grease filters

All Neff rangehoods have metal grease filters that are easily removed for cleaning and can be washed in the dishwasher. Some rangehoods even have an indicator to tell you when they require cleaning. Neff grease filters are made from non combustible metal and are virtually everlasting.

Halogen lamps

Most Neff rangehoods have integrated halogen lighting that provides crisp accurate lighting thats perfect for cooking. Some simply switch on and off, but others can be adjusted exactly to the level you want. They can provide bright light to illuminate your cooking or be turned down to create a softer atmosphere when youre ready to eat.

AquaSensor
