Neo Jazz School of Music/ Neo Jazz Collective in Concert
A Summer Reading Kick-Off Event
The Neo Jazz School of Music/Neo Jazz Collective youth group, ranging from 12 to 19, hails all the way from Birmingham, Ala. Their concert will serve as East Elmhursts Summer Reading Program Kick Off. Well have an early morning performance, Jazz for Young People, a feature of the Keeping Jazz Alive in Louis Armstrongs Neighborhoods programming series. The concert will include instrumental, vocal and group performances. This talented youth jazz group was discovered at the August 2010 BCALA Conference held in Birmingham.

WILLIAM TRANSLEY Horn & Vocalist
Native Nashvillian, Bill Transley, is a professional rhythm and blues musician who performs at clubs, concerts, and festivals throughout the United States. Bills main love is the trumpet, but he also enjoys playing the ugle horn and guitar. He is most proud of his work with the United States government performing in USO tours in Germany and Portugal.
JESSIE BOYCE 5 String Bass Guitar, Key Boards & Vocalist
Jesse Boyce is a North Carolina native, whose musical odyssey began with classical vocal training in his elementary and high school years, has studied classical piano, electric bass, guitar, and drums in Greenville, South Carolina. He is an alumni and graduate of Leadership Music Nashville with a Masters degree in Recording Industry and Community Leadership.
RONNIE YATES Drums, Key Boards, Vocalist & Music Director
When you think of the word musician, Ronnie Yates is the denition. This gifted, talented, creative, and spirit lled , singersongwriter has a special anointing on his life. God has blessed him to play various instruments such as, drums, keyboard and bass. His powerful yet gentle voice will soothe the soul and bring joy to the spirit. His outreach ministry is Gods heart- beat, which is winning souls, reaching the youth through various avenues as directed by the Holy Spirit.
SAMUEL DISMUKE Trombone & Vocalist
Samuel L. Dismuke, Jr. is a professional Jazz musician who performs at clubs, festivals and churches through out the Nashville area. Sams main love is the trombone but he also enjoys playing the baritone. He has recorded and performed with Bootsy Collins, Aaron Hall, Fred Wesley and the James Brown Soul Generals and local band Phase 6. He studied music at TSU after serving 6 years in the Marine Corp. Sam is a native of Nashville, TN where he still resides.
RAQUEL PAYNE & DON PATTON Lead Vocalists
Raquel Paynes love for music began in Vacoma, Washington church where she rst sang in the church choir at the tender age of six. Today, this sultry Tennessian, has honed her skills and is ready to take the world by storm. She has composed music for her CD, which was released in late 2004. Donald Payton started singing at age 15 with the Dynamic Five Sang in local clubs The New Era, Black Diamond and Printer Alley, etc. 1975 I went to California with Legend Little Richard. 1979 Recorded album with the Dynamic Five on the United Artist Label in Hollywood Favorite Singers Dennis Edwards Temptations and Stevie Wonder Hobbies Basketball, Bowling and Movies Moved back to Nashville in 2004. Reunited with the Dynamic 5. He is the lead singer at Carol Anns All Star Band.
TYRONN HAMILTON Drums & Keyboard
Nashville based Jazz keyboardist Tyronn Hamilton was born in Tullahoma TN. His music is described by some as an eclectic mix of R&B, gospel and pop-funk with all the elements of Jazz smoothing it out.

Khayree Bird Northcross is a professional musician who performs at churches, clubs, television shows and festivals, throughout the United States. A native of the great city of soul, gospel, and Blues, M.E.M.P.H.I.S. Khayree now lives in Nashville where he shares his gift with anyone he can.
