The best setup I have found is one using hpnpl (hppi executable) HP printing software to setup a spooler on the print server. However it lets you print only the first job. Any subsequent job will hang in the OS lp system. I am trying a workaround by specifying OFF to the hppi spooler parameter "End of Job" for the queue, and for now it seems to work better, although: I do not know what this does I have not thoroughly tested it Regards Francois u<AT>d<dot>c u=t,d=eig,c=ch.

But there shouldn't be anything left to "discover" about parallel ports and Centronix connectors, the PS101 simply passes print driver instructions from network to printer, and thus the odds are it will work just fine with your printer. That said, if you manage to screw up the courage to give it a try, just make sure you purchase it from a retailer that will accept returns. /daytripper
