If you will not be using the battery pack for long periods, remove the batteries to prevent leakage. When replacing batteries, be sure to replace all six batteries at the same time and with new batteries of the same make and model. Never mix old and new batteries or batteries of different makes. Failure to observe this precaution could result in fire, electric shock, or in the batteries rupturing.

Am MB-E5700 befinden sich speziell fr Hochformataufnahmen ein Auslser und Zoomtasten. Sie arbeiten genauso wie der Auslser und die Zoomtasten der Kamera. Lesen Sie hierzu das mit Ihrer Kamera gelieferte Handbuch zur Digitalfotografie. Der Auslser am Batterieteil ist mit einer Auslsesperre versehen. Um den Auslser des Batterieteils verwenden zu knnen, mssen Sie die Auslsesperre in die Position (Ein) drehen. Die Auslsesperre des Batterieteils ist jedoch kein Ein-/Ausschalter fr die Kamera. Schalten Sie die Stromversorgung der Kamera mit dem Ein-/Ausschalter der Kamera ein und aus. Wenn sich die Kamera in der Aufnahmebetriebsart befindet, knnen Sie mit der Taste (fr Weitwinkel) einzoomen und mit der Taste (fr Tele) auszoomen. Bei der Bildkontrolle mit Vollbilddarstellung und der Einzelbilddarstellung der Wiedergabebetriebsart vergrert die Taste die Darstellungsgre des Bildes und die Taste aktiviert die Indexdarstellung.
The battery pack is equipped with shutter-release and zoom buttons for taking vertical-orientaiton photographs. These serve the same function as the shutter-release and zoom buttons on the camera. For details, please refer to the Guide to Digital Photography included with your camera. The shutter-release button on the battery pack is equipped with a locking mechanism. To use the battery pack shutterrelease button, rotate the locking ring to the (on) position. The shutter-release button locking ring on the battery pack cannot be used for turning the camera on and off. To turn the camera on and off, use the cameras power switch. When the camera is in shooting mode, pressing (for wide angle) on the zoom button zooms the camera out, while pressing (for telephoto) zooms the camera in. In full-screen review mode or full-frame playback mode press to trigger playback zoom and press for thumbnail playback.
