| This is a great camera that the majority of people will grow into as it is more capable than most photographers. As I became more experienced with photography, I looked around for a camera that offers plenty of room for growth. The D90 is that camera! I purchased the Nikon D90 with the 18-105mm lens package in December of 2008 and have been very satisfied with my purchase. | |

Body-Integral Motor Drive The F90Xs quiet, body-integral motor drive offers a choice of three firing modessingle, continuous shooting of up to two frames per second (fps), and continuous shooting of up to 4.3 fps. Remote operation is via the cameras 10-pin remote terminal.
Command Input Control Dial Your right thumb will feel instantly at home with this ergonomically designed dial which you can turn without taking your eye off your subject. You can input your choice of exposure mode, shutter speed, exposure meter, flash sync mode, and others with full confidence.
Top Deck LCD Panel The LCD panel on the cameras top deck shows all vital information at a glance. It is illuminated for dim light viewing, keeping you informed of the cameras current settings and operations.
Viewfinder LCD indicator Most of the data displayed on the LCD panel on top of the camera is duplicated in the viewfinders own LCD indicator, which can be illuminated at the press of a button. So your eye need never stray from your subject.
Autofocus Lock This inspired device lets you lock focus in either Continuous or Single Servo shooting, so you can first focus your subject, then re-frame the scene anyway you like to, vertically or horizontally. A small Nikon touch that can lend variety to your picture taking.
Depth-of-field Preview Button This control enables you to preview the depth of field whenever youre using Aperture-Priority Auto or Manual exposure control.
Instant Reset Pressing the reset and exposure compensation/reset button simultaneously for at least one second returns all camera settings automatically to factory-standard settings or, when the optional Nikon Photo Secretary for F90X/F90 (ACPW-E) is used, to your personalised selection of settings.
High-Eyepoint Finder Another Nikon touch everyone will appreciate. It enables you to look at the viewfinder image clearly in comfort, even if youre wearing glasses. The focusing screen is the interchangeable type. Theres a grey eyepiece shutter you can use to prevent light from accidentally coming in through the eyepiece.
Auto Film Operation From film loading to ISO film speed setting, film advance and film rewindall film operations are automatic and mistake-proof. If youre in a hurry to see what youve shot, just rewind at mid-roll.
Manual ISO Film Speed Setting Another opportunity to experiment and really vary your shots. This feature lets you override the otherwise automatic DX coding of the ISO rating of the film in use. You can choose any rating from 6 to 6400a very useful feature for creative applications, such as intentional film speed boosting.
