A long successful history
The initial core of what would become the Olimpia Splendid of today a fully Italian owned company that has made its name worldwide with absolutely innovative products - was founded in 1956 in Gualtieri in the province of Reggio Emilia. It was founded as a cottage industry but in the early 1960s it took on full industrial proportions, becoming world leader in the production of cookers and heating units. In the 1980s it entered the air conditioning sector and immediately stood out for its cutting-edge technological solutions. In the 1990s, it became the second company for the sale of portable air conditioners in Italy, setting itself among top three on the European market. Today Olimpia Splendid is a leader in the field of air conditioning, heating and dehumidification, a true climate specialist that produces and distributes hundreds of different products. Besides the Italian production and marketing units, Olimpia Splendid also has production and marketing units in China and a marketing unit in Spain, its network covering all 5 continents. It exports to 45 countries. The recognized strengths of the companys products are their utmost characterization, undisputed creativity, innovative technology and high quality levels.
User friendly: evolution of the species
There is air conditioning. And then there is Olimpia Splendid air conditioning: a new approach that is, in many ways, revolutionary, taking the users needs as the starting point rather than the unit functions. The best cooling in summer and even the best heating in winter, certainly. But today that is no longer enough. Further expectations have emerged and must be met. Needs, desires. New ones are always being discovered. Intercept, understand, study. And then design, calibrate, test. This is what Olimpia Splendid does, proposing a complete range of units able to meet any consumer demand, placing the right emphasis on their needs. For example, the need for silence: fundamental during ones daytime activities and an absolute necessity at night when sleeping. Reliability, which must be total. Minimum dimensions in portable and fixed units. The ability for unforced integration with the furnishings, low power consumption, easy operation, absolute regulation. All this and much more makes Olimpia Splendid truly user friendly. First and foremost this means being on the users side, anticipating their needs and designing easy-to-use climate control units. This has led to such revolutionary products as Unico, the fixed air conditioner without an outdoor unit, Issimo, the smallest, most manageable portable unit in the world and Mimetico, the split whit the invisible outdoor unit. Today, with the outdoor climate increasingly out of control, thanks to Olimpia Splendid, the indoor climate is increasingly under control. The term user friendly by definition embraces sensitivity towards the environment; Olimpia Splendid considers respect for the environment a fundamental company mission. The top-level energy efficiency that Olimpia Splendid has long worked on is to the environments benefit, reducing consumption and avoiding wasting resources: Most of Olimpia Splendids appliances are Class A, the very best there is. Of fundamental importance is the safeguarding of the ozone layer: Olimpia Splendid products use environment-friendly gases, including R410A, with a destructive effect on the ozone layer equal to zero. Olimpia Splendid is likewise concerned with aesthetic pollution, both inside and out, paying the greatest attention to design and coming up with innovative solutions which do not penalize building faades, such as Unico and Mimetico. This is what led to them collaborating with Corporate Golden Donor, the section of the FAI (Fondo per lAmbiente Italiano the Italian National Trust) set up in 2002 by all those small, medium and large firms which cherish the inherited treasures of Italy, and want to protect and make the most of them. One of the FAIs missions, as is well known, is the conservation of monuments, landscape and nature throughout Italy. Olimpia Splendid is thus part of an esteemed, commendable network which encourages a mutual interest in art and culture. Respect for the environment continues even after the use cycle. Olimpia Splendid is amongst the founder members of Ridomus, the consortium for the disposal and recovery of products at the end of their life. In this way, new products may be obtained starting from recycled raw materials. Clean air

Thanks to the triple filtering system, the air will not only have the desired humidity level but will also be clean and free from unpleasant odours. The unit was designed to carry a maximum of 2 filters simultaneously, which will work in synergy. The filters that can be installed in the Acquaria are: - activated carbon filters: to remove unpleasant odours; - HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air filter) filters, a microfiber filter with a high filtering capacity; suitable for trapping particles that are only a few microns in diameter; - optical catalyst filters: these are filters that thanks to their composition are able to sterilize the air by eliminating a high percentage of bacteria and viruses from the air. The Hepa and optical catalyst filters in the Aquaria units area also coated with a thin activated carbon layer. This kind of filters can be changed depending on the user's requirements; they will be installed on a support fitted with a pre-filter designed to remove the larger sized particles present in the air.
Continuous condensate drainage
Aquaria and Aquaria Thermo are designed for continuous condensate drainage to enable fully independent operation and eliminate the need to empty the tank manually.

Thanks to the powerful 1000 W electrical resistance built into the Aquaria Thermo unit, dehumidifying and heating operate jointly to significantly reduce dehumidifying time and ensure greater effectiveness. The result will be: less humidity and a heated room.

Defrost system

Finally, moisture-free air is also purified of dust particles which can be harmful for respiratory health. Thanks to the efficiency of the activated carbon filters in SeccoPur S and SeccoPur Thermo S, after the dehumidification process, the air returned to the environment has also been purified: the unpleasant odours that develop in closed environments (e.g. cigarette smoke) and dusts that can make breathing difficult have all been removed.

Continuous drain discharge
SeccoPur S and SeccoPur Thermo S are ready for constant condensation draining (following the Users Manual) for fully independent operation. SeccoPur S and SeccoPur Thermo S are fit with an evaporating coil defrost system, making them suitable even in cold environments (min. 2C).

SeccoPur Thermo S is even more evolved. It has a 800 Watt heating element that accelerates and enhances the dehumidification process. Moreover, thanks to the Auto Function, it automatically determines the target humidity setting according to the room temperature.

Functions

With SeccoTech the dehumidification feature lets the user set the desidered level of humidity while Super Dry function activates a continuous end fast dehumidification of the room. The sohisticated electronics allows the room humidity visualization. Secco is provided of a mechanical humidity level setting with defrosting system and it has a full tank warning light too.
