DATA SECURITY Data on the hard disk of multifunctional systems can be read by any network user. Confidentiality is ensured with the optional Data Security Kit, which automatically saves data in an encrypted form, and then cancels when the user finishes the task. For added protection, passwords can be assigned to PDF files. SIMPLE MULTITASKING The innovative system architecture supports multi-tasking. For example, users can print while they scan, or send a fax while making a copy. This has obvious benefits for device management and sharing, and also speeds up workflows.
CONFIGURATION FLEXIBILITY The Olivetti d-Copia 300MF, d-Copia 400MF and d-Copia 500MF are modular devices that can be configured to suit the needs of individual corporate users. The basic model comes with two 500-sheet paper trays, a 200-sheet manual feed and a standard duplex unit for front/back printing and copying. This already advanced standard configuration can be extended with optional trays and finishing units for all departmental workflows.

PRODUCTIVITY The Olivetti d-Copia 300MF, d-Copia 400MF and d-Copia 500MF, a family of black and white multifunctional copiers built on a copier engine, offer standard printing and network scanning functions, as well as an optional network fax function. Equipped with a 40 GB hard disk and standard 512 MB RAM (expandable to 1 GB), the models deliver print and copy speeds respectively of 30, 40, 50 ppm in A4 format. The scan speed of 50 opm the same on all three models keeps waiting time to a minimum. All this plus outstanding reliability, thanks to long-life components, guarantees unbeatably high productivity.

EASY TO USE All three models are based on a simple design philosophy: technology offers the best value if, in addition to being innovative, it is user friendly. This is translated into a series of improved facilities to keep things easy. First of all, the broad intuitive colour display (8 inches) with touch-sensitive buttons provides simple and immediate user guidance for the more complex functions. Documents stored on the hard disk can be previewed on the display, for easier selection and management (for instance: printing, transmission and filing). The Colour Thumbnail function can be used to run a quick check on documents before they are printed and copied, to help reduce waste.

COMPATIBILITY The Olivetti d-Copia 3001MF is a multi-function device coupling a basic copier architecture with standard network print and scan functions, as well as support for a network fax and Internet fax services. Although the system is a mid-range device, it offers functions normally found on higher-end equipment, including a Java-based software platform to facilitate network integration and function customisation for specific user needs. Compatibility with Active Directory services permits integration with computer networks using Microsoft operating systems.
DATA SECURITY Without the need for additional options, the basic system configuration offers IPsec and IPv6, two of todays most advanced data transmission security protocols. Further protection is provided by the optional Data Security kit, which encrypts hard-disk data and eliminates it once the job is finished. For the first time, a kit is available to prevent copying and scanning of confidential documents protected with a watermark. The broad intuitive colour touch-screen display panel (8.5 inches) gives users clear and simple support to manage the more complex system functions.
