CLASS-BEATING PERFORMANCE The Olivetti ECR 5900 cash register delivers highly professional performance and is the ideal solution for managing a wide range of merchandise with top flight performance levels. The two alphanumeric displays with extra large characters- a two-line operator display and swivel-type, height-adjustable customer display - guarantee clear, immediate reading in any direction. The silent, extremely fast alphanumeric thermal printer deals effortlessly with high workloads and permits flexible customisation of the receipt also using different types of characters. Powerful programming capabilities make it possible to manage, assigning a name or description, up to 99 departments, that can be divided into groups of 10, to set up to 1500 articles, to define up to 15 clerks and to select 5 systems of payment. With the intelligent VAT breakdown function, receipts can be produced with the amount and percentage of the tax associated to the total or to the single product, as required by various national regulations. Also, the up to 7,200-line electronic journal promotes well above average autonomy. In Training mode, it is possible to simulate issue of receipts, very useful for personnel training. This operating mode can be protected with passwords and monitored. The ECR 5900 guarantees absolute security as it features different levels of software protection and access to operating and programming functions is protected by a key selector that uses different keys according to the related permissions. The printer compartment and drawer are also protected by a key.
