I bought my 5050 in January this year. My only previous experience of digital photography was with a basic camera made by an other company.

2004-01-21 15:43:43 Repair shop very vague when it comes to repair status. Initially waiting on parts, failed to say it could take months.

I use my 5050 for both snapshots & professional work. Good Auto, total manual control, F1.8 lens, Image quality Too big for my pocket! Shutter lag. I use my 5050 for both snapshots & professional work. I bought my 5050 in January this year. So easy to use in the automatic mode. A camera for snappers of a higher calibre than myself.

This is my first digital camera. I am totaly pleased with the performance of this camera. Software included is OK but I prefer the XP program.

I have 40 years of experience but in all honesty, I am the limiting factor of the results I achieve, not this little gem of a camera.

Loses its Settings Every Battery Change / False Battery Low Warning Purchased C5050-Zoom in August 2003, refurbished. Worked great for about 2 years.

Always wondered what the 5050 was like, particularly after reading about pro PJ Alex Majoli using them a few years ago. 5050 is still a good camera: handy, sturdy and versatile. With a fine lens (aperture from 1.8) usable also without a flash in dim light. Very good camera for the cost. I still use it for subject photos although purchased D-SLR Nikon D50.
nicolaus 3:58pm on Sunday, March 28th, 2010
Brilliant for Macro This camera provides brilliant picture quality and gives you complete manual control over all parameters or fully automatic or any... Buy It Now! I had an Olympus SLR for many years. Best bang for your buck There are lots of things right with the 5050Z; like the bright lens, the excellent LCD, the multi-card slot, the AF lamp.
