The above list shows the number of batteries each camera requires. Note: Please do not use AA zinc carbon (manganese) batteries and other non-coping batteries, as they do not sufficiently provide the high current needed by digital cameras. Usage of these batteries might cause excess heat and damage to camera. *1: In the case of alkaline batteries, their performance and life depends to a great extent on the brand, production date, storage environment and the operation environment. In the worst case, cameras may not be able to take pictures with alkaline batteries. *2: Optional Power Battery Grip is required (B-30LPS: Power Battery Holder Kit; grip, charger, battery). *3: As some AA type Alkaline batteries may not deliver enough energy, we strongly recommend to use those as an emergency power supply only. If you do use these batteries, please do not use the LCD monitor.
Dont use the following batteries with digital cameras. They might cause excess heat, leakage of liquid and burst. 1. the minus contact is flat and the contact doesnt have any isolation cover. 2. the minus contact is flat and any part of the contact is not covered by isolation seal. 3. the minus contact has swelling but it is not covered by any isolation seal. 4. isolation seal is peeling or otherwise damaged. We will not offer any compensation if use of the above battery types causes damage. Cases (1), (2) and (3) might cause a short circuit if something enters the cameras battery compartment. Especially case (4) makes a short circuit and overheating inside the camera very possible.
