Olympus autoconnect USB Digital cameras are designed under USB storage-class specifications. This means that the camera's driver is included and automatically installed with Windows. Autoconnect USB cameras are recognized by Windows 2000, ME, and XP as a separate drive, which is listed as a "Removable Disk Drive". It is also assigned it's own unique drive letter in addition to your C drive and any other drive you may have. Because it is a separate drive, the Camedia Software is not necessary to download images. You can easily drag and drop images directly from the camera's assigned drive to any folder on your computer. *** See the Windows 98, 2000, ME, and XP Camedia version Compatibility Chart for further details regarding software compatibility.
