To have the latest version, it is recommended that you update from your connection kit Business Everywhere once a week or whenever you must travel and use the connection kit Business Everywhere.

Updating the directory

Status = Downloaded > the connection kit Business Everywhere has detected a difference and has downloaded the latest directory.
important Once the directory is imported, you should relaunch the connection kit Business Everywhere for the update to take effect. Case 2 : Access to the Intranet via the telephone line You must choose an access point in the main window to do the update. On the main screen of the connection kit Business Everywhere: > Choose a favorite configured on the Connection over the telephone line service > Choose the closest country and city (other than a toll-free number) > Click on the button Update Config. Files, which is found as a shortcut in the Tasks window or from the menu Tools > Update Config. Files
> Choose the option Yes, via the dedicated Access Point > Click on OK (launch of the modem connection with a generic update account) > The download is launched
The following message is displayed and the PSTN connection is automatically interrupted. Once the download is finished, exit and relaunch the connection kit Business Everywhere to obtain a new updated directory. If it is, the installation of the PSTN modem drivers must be checked. > Check that your identifier/password provided by your administrator is correctly entered (pay particular attention to upper and lower case). > Note down the error message after a connection attempt. If a malfunction occurs when updating the directory, here are some steps you may take : > Check that the proxy server function isnt being used on the browser (see Chapter 4.3.3.2). > Check that firewall software (alarm zone type) is not blocking http traffic to the update URL www.equant.com In the event of malfunction, you should inform your administrator or the Business Everywhere user hotline.
