| GREAT BUY I just love this indoor/outdoor thermometer. I live along the Adirondack Parkway in NY and temperature change daily. Out of the box, did not work I spent half hour (not counting opening the package it was packed it) trying to get the time set. No luck. | |

To manually set the clock: 1. Press and hold MODE for 2 seconds. 2. Press VOL + / VOL - to change the settings. 3. Press MODE to conrm. 4. The setting sequence is: Time zone, 12 / 24 hour format, hour, minute, year, day / month format, month, day and display language. NOTE BARM969P only When an offset hour has been set (e.g. +1), the time displayed will be the radiocontrolled clock time plus 1 hour. NOTE BARM969PA only The time zone options are (P) Pacic, (M) Mountain, (C) Central and (E) Eastern. NOTE The language options are (E) English, (F) French, (D) German, (I) Italian, and (S) Spanish. To switch the clock display, press MODE: Clock with seconds Clock with day Clock with time zone offset ALARM The clock has 2 alarms that can be set to sound the radio, 1 of 6 melodies or vibrate. To set an alarm: 1. Press ALARM to toggle between the alarm displays and select either alarm 1 or 2. 2. Press and hold ALARM for 2 seconds. 3. Press VOL + / VOL - to change the settings. 4. Press ALARM to conrm. 5. The setting sequence is: Hour, minute, alarm type and alarm volume. If you select the radio alarm as your alarm type, you will need to press STATION to select a preset station and ALARM to conrm. NOTE -:-- appears when the alarm is not activated. SLEEP / SOOTHING SOUNDS The sleep function with soothing sounds or radio can be set to play through the main unit and vibration device (VR201) to help lull you to sleep. To set the unit to sleep: Press SLEEP repeatedly to set the sound to turn off after 15, 30, 60, 90 or 120 minutes. When 0 minutes is selected the sleep timer will automatically turn off after a few seconds. To play the radio instead of the soothing sound during the sleep timer, turn the radio on rst and then press SLEEP to select the time. OR Press SLEEP, this will automatically activate the last setting you used. To change the volume, press VOL + / VOL - when sleep has been activated (0=low, 7=high). To change the soothing sound, press and hold SLEEP and use VOL + / VOL -. Then set the sleep function. PROJECTOR Press SNOOZE to project the time and alarm status for 5 seconds. To use the projector continuously, plug in the adapter and slide the PROJECTION ON switch down to the ON position (slide up to turn OFF). Adjust the FOCUS knob to make the image clearer. Manually tilt the projection unit to position the image. To ip the image 180, press SNOOZE when the projection is active. BACKLIGHT Press SNOOZE to turn on the backlight for 5 seconds. RESET Press RESET to return the unit to the default settings. VIBRATION WAKE-UP ALARM VR101 / VR201 (OPTIONAL) The projection clock works with the optional vibrating wake-up alarm (sold separately), which can be placed under your pillow or up to 15 meters away from the main unit and performs a wake-up function by vibrating. Simply select the alarm time when you want the vibration device to wake you up. The sleep function can be used with the VR201 so you can listen to the soothing sounds or radio while you fall asleep. PRECAUTIONS This product is engineered to give you years of satisfactory service if you handle it carefully. Here are a few precautions: Placement of this product on wood surfaces with certain types of nishes, such as clear varnish, may result in damage to the nish. Consult the furniture manufacturers care instructions for direction as to the types of objects that may safely be placed on the wood surface. Oregon Scientic shall not be responsible for any damage to wood surfaces from contact with this product. Do not immerse the unit in water. If you spill liquid over it, dry it immediately with a soft, lint-free cloth. Do not clean the unit with abrasive or corrosive materials. Do not subject the unit to excessive force, shock, dust, temperature or humidity, which may result in malfunction, shorter electronic life span, damaged battery and distorted parts. Do not tamper with the units internal components. Doing so will invalidate the warranty on the unit and may cause unnecessary damage. The unit contains no user-serviceable parts. Only use fresh batteries as specied in the users instructions. Do not mix new and old batteries. Do not use rechargeable batteries. Remove batteries when storing the product for a long time.
