PACOM FASTRAX II E DOME SYSTEM

Application Note

FEATURES
The Pacom dome camera system with keyboard controller provides sharp, color images for closed circuit television and security surveillance applications. The Pacom dome camera system features: Up to 240 programmable preset positions with 16-character titles (including Zoom / Focus / Iris). Up to 8 programmable guard tours consisting of 36 presets and functions with individual dwell time (Up to 99 seconds). 4 memorized user control patterns (speed and position, lens controls) up to 120 seconds. 8 user-programmable Auto Scan holds pan/ tilt angle and zoom ratio with 9 selectable speeds. Flip function to follow objects. Up to 99 selectable camera addresses. Built-in RS-485/422 receiver driver. Up to 380 /sec. pan and tilt speed (preset recall speed). Optional Manual/Auto Night Shot and slow shutter function enhances low light sensitivity. Built-in power-line surge protection and lightning protection. Clear bubble with black liner (shelter) for concealing the camera. User programmable tilt angle to eliminate horizon cutoff in wide-angle views with special decorative ring. Tinted bubble (optional) Outdoor external pendant mount housing with heater and blower (optional). In-door pendant mounted housing (optional). 8 alarm inputs and 4 outputs can be programmed by user (programmable NO/NC and priority and action).
The keyboard controller features: Recalls up to 240 programmed preset positions from selected dome camera. Variable manual control speed from 0.5 /sec to 90 /sec with turbo speed (Max 380 ) Maximum speeds are proportional to zoom ratio. Auto iris with manual override keys: Auto Iris mode activated by pushing the joystick. Auto focus with manual override keys: Auto Focus mode activated by twisting the zoom handle. Recalls programmed guard tours from each dome camera. Recalls Auto-Scan from selected dome camera. Global preset recalls specified preset of all domes. Optional built-in 5-inch TFT LCD monitor. Programmable user preferences (alarm, preset, title, etc.). Two levels of user password support. Supported Multiplexers (Max 128) and DVR system (Max 16) can be controlled remotely Download programmed data from dome, and upload to a new dome. Slave Keyboard support. Support for use on the PDR Series Digital Recorders

The Pacific Communications Dome and Keyboards are designed to work as an integrated package. The PACSD-KBD-LCD has the ability to create a 64 x 4 MATRIX FUNCTION (Using 5 TRIPLEXER). You are able to automatic sequence, (video switching) with preset real time display and scheduled macro function (weekly, annual, everyday) The PACSD-KBD-LCD has a 5 intergrated LCD screen for programming and view of the selected cameras. The system has the ability to have 3 Slave keyboards and up to 64 domes. The compatible MUX is the VA16MX-CT. The PACSD-KBD-LCD will support the PDR-4LX, PDR-16LX, PDR-16LP and the PDR16 PC/RMT series of DVRs. Configured for use with the Pacom DVR series, we are able to connect a single DVR with control of up to 16 domes. This allows for a single point of control for the DVR and for the PTZ control. As the system has been designed as a complete package this allows the user to set-up the dome and the DVR from the keyboard.

The PACSD-KBD is designed for applications where the LCD monitor is not required in the keyboard. The PACSD-KBD has a 16 X 2 LCD Character display, can support a slave keyboard, two VA16MX-CT multiplexers and up to 32 domes. It also supports the full range of Pacom DVRs, (PDR4LX, PDR16LX, PDR16LP and the PDR16 PC/RMT series of DVRs. Max 16 PTZ cameras with the DVRs).
