ADDENDUM 4 : Menu settings for Panasonic DVCProHD (AJ-HDC20A, 1080/59.94Hz)
This document is a report of the results of tests that are the precursor of those described in the EBU technical document Tech3335. It is not an endorsement of the product. Assessment was made on a prototype model of the AJ-HDC20A, 1080-line interlaced fixed frame-rate camera, and all menu items refer to this camera only. This camera has 3 ccds, each of 1920x1080 pixels. The camera is smaller and lighter than the familiar Beta camcorder and is useful mostly for portable, singlecamera work. It has many internal menus for setting the performance, such that it can then be used without external controls. It is not well suited to multi-camera operation. In this setup, gamma correction and knee are adjusted to capture about 2.5 stops of overload, and 1 stop of underexposure, to mimic film performance.
