It is natural that the unit becomes warm during prolonged use. The unit may not function properly if installed in a location where it is exposed to high temperature such as in the trunk. Preferably install it in the driver's compartment. Install the main unit on a firm base inside the driver's compartment, such as on the floor or in the console box. Any changes in its position may cause the position of your vehicle to deviate in the screen. Choose the location for installing the main unit so that it is easy to reach it for inserting and removing the map DVD-ROM and points in a convenient direction. Do not install the main unit on its side or upside down. This may cause malfunctions. Install the main unit in horizontal position. The permissible tilt is within 10 side to side and within 30 front to back.
Do not install the main unit in locations that tend to get very hot, such as on the dashboard or in the glove compartment. This may cause damage to the unit. To prevent damage, avoid installing the main unit in places where it is exposed to: Direct sunlight Air flow from the air conditioner Heat generated by other equipment
We strongly recommend that you wear gloves for installation work to protect yourself from injuries.

Do not bend, cut or otherwise modify the metal bracket (L-shaped). The metal bracket is supplied exclusively for installation inside the vehicle. Use only the supplied metal bracket !2.
Notes: The body shape of some vehicles may interfere with proper signal reception. Some types of window glass may block signal reception. If the reception sensitivity is not satisfactory with the antenna installed inside the vehicle, please consult your nearest authorized Panasonic Service Centre.
Cautions: This product is designed to be used in a car having 12-volt negative ground battery system. To prevent damage to the unit, be sure to follow the connection diagram below.
