Formed by injection moulding and offering superb resistance to weather, heat and oil, the diaphragm is rugged enough to withstand the unique challenges of the car audio environment.

With every advance come new technologies to support and augment its results, and our acclaimed leaf tweeters are no exception. The extended frequency response of the leaf tweeter in the DVD-Series is supported by adoption of a film capacitor as a high-pass filter. Common electrolytic capacitors are subject to "hysteretic distortion" from sluggish response above about 100kHz. By using a film-type capacitor, the passive crossover network can provide improved linearity, transient response, and resolution. Also air-core inductors were chosen for their low saturation distortion, and OFC (Oxygen Free Copper) cable is used to minimise transmission loss characteristics.
