NAVIGATION
DVD Takes Realistic Map-Based Navigation to New Heights of Precision and Convenience
To mark the start of a new millennium, Panasonic introduced the CN-DV2000Europe's first DVD car navigation and AV entertainment system. This year, the Panasonic line is being expanded with the CN-DV2300, a dedicated DVD navigation system that boasts an entire new array of real-time support functions to make driving safer and easier.
14 European Countries on a Single Disc
Where will you spend your next vacation? With Panasonic DVD, just one disc is all you need to see detailed map data seamlessly extending over 14 countries in Europe. So you can cross boarders and decide your entire route without any need for disc swapping. Panasonic DVD navigation systems use the DVD-SDAL map disc by Navigation Technologies, the originator of the SDAL (Shared Database Access Library) format. Upgrades with updated map data will be available on a regular basis.
Six Ways Panasonic is Revolutionising Car Navigation
1. High Capacity DVD holds a vast amount of data, so most of Europe can fit on a single disc, packed with a wealth of POI (Points of Interest) and other valuable information. 2. Fast For high-speed data processing, Panasonic DVD navigation systems use a 32-bit RISC CPU. 3. Reliable Navigation you can count on with user-friendly design, versatile search functions and clear visual and voice route guidance. 4. Fun (CN-DV2000) Panasonic also lets you enjoy DVD videos, music CDs and Video CDs. 5. Compact With their slim 1-DIN body and stylish front panel design, Panasonic DVD navigation systems are ideal for dashboard mounting.
Note: Both Panasonic and Navtech continue to take measures to ensure that mapping data is up to date and comprehensive, however they cannot take responsibility for errors and omissions. In-Depth Information

Just one DVD holds detailed recent roadmaps of 14 nations, including points of interest (POI), postcodes and much more valuable data to quickly find desired destinations. That's possible because DVD capacity is 4.7GB, equal to about seven CDs. You see a whole new dimension of information with this database, the largest yet in a navigation system, allowing you to visually confirm exactly where you are and exactly where you are going on the map.

GPS Receiver

Up to eight signals can be picked up by Panasonics GPS receiver, enabling more dependable determination of vehicle position.

Easy to Use

Panasonic makes it amazingly simple to get where youre going with six different ways to quickly locate your ultimate destination. Other convenient features include voice guidance in six languages (English, German, French, Italian, Spanish and Dutch), automatic intersection zoom display, "Nearest POI Search" for points of interest around any particular location including your destination, and much more. Panasonic supports everything from your trip preparations to what you'll do after you arrive.
Compact Gyro-Sensor Remote Control with 10-Key Pad (CN-DV2300)
Slide the cover open to access the number keys useful for post code, street number and other address input tasks. The same remote can control an attached Panasonic monitor. Panasonics original gyro-sensor boasts the sensitivity to precisely track the angle of your car, even on very gentle curves. For maximum dashboard installation ease, it has an up to 10 left-to-right and 30 front-to-back positioning leeway.

Vehicle Speed Sensor

To accurately calculate distance travelled based on vehicle speed, it is necessary to take into consideration speed coefficient differences that are dependent upon vehicle type. To solve this problem, Panasonic uses original software processing for fully automatic distance correction.
Automatic Intersection Zoom*
As you travel towards your designated destination, the map display automatically zooms in 300 metres before you reach an intersection where a turn needs to be made. Also shown is the distance remaining to the turn, the direction of the turn and the road to be taken after turning. Map instructions are supplemented by voice prompts. If turns occur in rapid succession, the display will show the distance to each succeeding turn, direction of each turn and road names.
*This feature operates only on ordinary roads, not on motorways.
Six Smart Ways to Find a Destination
Panasonics DVD navigation systems give you a choice of six easy and effective ways to search for your destination and programme a route. You can search by: 1) Address (street, city, or post code); 2) Intersection (i.e. main street and cross street); 3) POI (Points of Interest) category, such as amusement parks, hotels, or restaurants; 4) History, meaning any one of the last 100 destinations to which you have previously driven; 5) Marked Point, which is any one of up to 100 places you can input into the systems memory to be marked on the map with an icon; and 6) variablespeed joystick Map Scroll in eight directions. If you start by inputting a city, the CN-DV2300 will show you a list of up to ten cities you have selected most recently. If the city you want is on the list, then theres no need to input the name again, letter-by-letter.

16:9 Aspect Ratio with Selectable Display Modes
Panasonic colour LCD monitors were specially developed for in-car viewing. Their large cinema-like screens have a 16:9 aspect ratio to show the film image in its entirety. To handle made-for-TV or letterbox formats recorded at a 4:3 aspect ratio, you can select NORMAL, FULL, ZOOM, or JUST display modes.
Full Array of Inputs/Outputs
Rear-panel dual AV inputs let you monitor two separate installed AV sources. An additional video output lets you connect a back seat monitor. And Panasonic even provides an RGB input that is ideal for accepting navigation data.
ID Code Security (CQ-VA707)
This unit is built to recognise its owner, and wont work in another vehicle unless supplied with your exclusive 4-digit security code.
Power operation stops at choice of five angles.

Built-In Speaker

A built-in speaker provides voice guidance when the monitor is connected to a Panasonic DVD mobile navigation system through its RGB input.

High-Definition Screen

The CQ-VA707s and CY-VM1500s highdefinition screens employ 336,960 pixels to richly render DVDs detailed images. TFT active matrix colour LCD technology ensures natural colour reproduction, and high-brightness, anti-glare screen characteristics are optimised for in-car viewing. The CY-VMR5800 features a 280,800-pixel high-definition screen.

Compact and Slim

Because SD Memory Cards measure a mere 24mm by 32mm (about the size of a postage stamp), and are just 2.1mm thick, they contribute to the miniaturisation of a wide variety of multi-functional productsfrom wireless communications devices to home appliances. In fact, SD audio players can be designed to be so compact that they can be worn like a necklace or wristwatch, or integrated into a set of headphones.
Compression Mode and Recording Length

Large Capacity

Though the SD Memory Card, itself, is amazingly small, it has the storage capacity to accommodate a vast amount and variety of digital content. A postage stamp-size 512MB SD Memory Card can hold over seven-and-a-half hours of music, equivalent to a 6 disc changer.
pressed digital data can be stored on a 64MB SD Memory Card in just about 30 seconds.

Copyright Protection

The "SD" in SD Memory Card stands for "Secure Digital," referring to the high-level security functions this media uses for copyright protection. With the development of electronic media distribution services for musical content, this protection encourages content creators and providers to make available high-quality material for you to
record and enjoy in the SD Memory Card format.

Fast Access

With their fast data write speed of 2MB per second (standard), SD Memory Cards can handle digital content effortlessly. A whole CDs worth of com-

High Power

Panasonic car stereos feature built-in amplifiers boasting at least four channels of up to 50W power to give you headroom for exquisite audio reproduction. Specially constructed to maintain the highest possible audio signal purity, they incorporate such sophisticated design features as large capacity electrolytic capacitors, dual line power supply cords and toroidal coil power transformers to provide an instantaneous power supply to the audio section.
particular, they produce extremely pure energy output by curtailing crossover distortion during current-to-voltage conversion of the signal from the preamp stage. Benefits are apparent in an improved high range S/N ratio, reflecting freedom from treble noise. The result is highly faithful sound reproduction with expressive musical detail.
easy to add an external amp and one or more subwoofers. With this higher voltage output, you get top performance from virtually any subwoofer on the market.
The spectrum analyser gives you a dynamic indication of actual musical energy. With several separate patterns to choose from, including peak hold, you can change the display to suit your mood or the music. Of course, you can also turn off the display when not needed.

Dual Preamp Outs

Front and rear dual 5V, 2.5V, or 2V preamp outs enable an external amp to perform at high power with only a low burden on its gain, ensuring sound reproduction with a wide dynamic range and high S/N ratio. Fader control provides front/rear output balancing of the built-in amp and external amp(s), giving you the capacity to expand your system with a variety of peripheral components.

Multi-Mode Operation

With 2 load capability, both the CY-M9054 and CY-M7052 can drive one additional speaker in parallel with left and right stereo output, allowing you to add a subwoofer without buying another amp. In combination with bridgeable power, this feature facilitates a wide variety of speaker configurations.
