Notes on Use

Liquid Crystal Panel
Do not cause impact to the liquid crystal panel. Usage temperature range: 0 C to 40 C {32 F to 104 F} When the temperature is very cold or very hot, the image may not appear clearly or may move slowly. Also, movement of the image may seem to be out of synchronization or the image quality may decline in such environments. Note that this is not a malfunction or problem. In order to protect the liquid crystal panel, keep it out of direct sunlight while the unit is not in use. Sudden changes in the temperature inside the car such as those which occur immediately after the cars air conditioner or heater has been turned on may cause the inside of the liquid crystal panel to cloud over due to water vapor or it may cause condensation (droplets of water) to form and, as a result, the panel may not work properly. Do not use the unit while these symptoms are in evidence but leave the unit standing for about and hour, and then resume or start use.

Full description

Take your DVDs on the road with this large, 7" diagonal, 16:9 widescreen LCD that delivers clear, high-resolution images. This DVD receiver also comes with iPod video capability, and the expansion module lets you simultaneously link to a wide spectrum of digital devices. To operate most functions, all you need to do is touch the screen. The intuitive graphical user interface features clear, color graphics and text in two languages that let you "touch and choose" what you want, so you can start using your system from the very first day quickly and easily. You can have hours of uninterrupted theater-like movies and music using DVDs, satellite radio, or even your own iPod. The MOS-FET high power amplifier delivers pure signal output with minimal treble noise. The result is highly faithful sound reproduction with expressive musical detail. The built-in 5.1 channel Dolby Digital 2 and DTS 3 decoders are the keys to theater surround sound in your car. The extensive setup menu lets you select a completely automatic monitor extension/retraction instead of the usual button-activated procedure. All you have to do is turn the ignition key (ACC ON) and the monitor will slide out and up to your pre-selected angle. Likewise, when you stop the car and turn the ignition off (ACC OFF), the monitor will automatically retract. Most people think of their DVD player simply as a movie machine. This model not only plays pre-recorded DVDs and DVD-audio discs, but also MP3, WMA, CDs, DVD-R/RW and CD-R/RW discs. With 18 FM and 6 AM presets with Preset Scan, you can easily find your favorites. For even more options, the system is satellite radio-ready. With Private Mode, front-seat passengers can enjoy one program, while rear-seat passengers can select another. Here's how: When the function is activated, rear speaker sound is muted, with the sound transmitted to headphones. To headphone listeners, the front speaker sound is almost inaudible, and vice versa, so each side can choose their preferred entertainment without any interference.
