WHAT'S AN INVERTER?

In an inverter heatpump, this circuit controls the revolutions of the compressor and hence the heatpumps output. Raising the frequency increases the output, lowering the frequency reduces it. In this way, inverter heatpumps provide much finer temperature control than non-inverter models.

An Energy Label, like that shown in the sample below, will be provided in shop displays. In the label, the equipment is rated, with "A" being the most efficient.
