Portable, large memory, the screen is as easy to read as a paper book, long battery life Quite a small screen, turning pages can be slow. When I first purchased the Sony Portable Reader, it was an impulse buy and a treat for myself, to keep u with my gadget addicted partner.

Problems with item I wondered if any other customers had any problems with this item. SONY E-READER PRS-505 I bought this even though there was a later version available. Nearly all the reviews said it was much easier to read.

Used to love my PRS-505, but... I have had my PRS-505 for a little over a year, have loved using it - downloads and reading are a snap. before you buy Kindle, Nook, or iPad... I have had the PRS-505 for over a year. Sadly, I dropped it on a tile floor and the display failed.

Im in love with my Sony Digital Reader! I have a visual impairment and this reader allows me to enlarge the type without distorting the text. I am constantly amazed with my consistant pleasure in using hte ereader. It is a wonderfully Green alternative to paper books. Love my Sony Reader! Bought it in March from Vanns because they had the best price! Still do! Ive already read a book and am on my second.

I bought an after market E-Reader charger which was marked as a PSP charger, but it does the job at less than half the price, the spec is the same. No need to buy this charger, get the Official PSP charger as it is approx half the price and will work. I use my PSP for charging my E-Reader.

REVOLUTIONARY INNOVATION!! NEW UM R410A INDUSTRIAL AIR-CONDITIONER MX4 SERIES
Following on from the recent introduction of R410A UM MX3 series, Panasonic has announced the introduction of revolutionary new product, MX4 series Inverter heat pump outdoor unit. The new MX4 series creates a further efficient air conditioning solution with greater design flexibility, a higher connection ratio, a wider line up of outdoor unit, longer piping lengths. Additionally, a unique refrigerant leakage control system helps commissioning work and improves the serviceability. All the current R410A UM indoor units can be connected to new MX4 series. Needless to say, EER/COP is also improved, whilst maintaining the size of cabinet and sound performance as the previous MX3 series. For more information, please connect to: www.panasonic.co.uk

THE NEW ERA IN INDUSTRIAL AIR CONDITIONING
NEW MX4 SERIES URBAN MULTI R410A SYSTEM BY PANASONIC Panasonic has developed the new MX4 VRF Inverter System, a major improvement on the system used in recent years. There are 5 premises which reflect the continued major improvement of our system: extended design options, improved performance, whilst retaing low noise levels, ease of instalation and high reliability. Five premises that open up the doors to the future of industrial air conditioning. Panasonic is the refererence point.
THE PATH FOR PANASONIC INDUSTRIAL AIR-CONDITIONING
MX4 INVERTER HEAT PUMP ALLOWS FAR MORE FLEXIBILITY + System Capacity is increased 12.5% from 5~54 HP. + Up to 64 indoor units can be connected, a 33% increase on the MX3. + It can be used to cool or heat from a single system + Control of up to 64 units with just one outdoor combination. + A broad range of capacity from 5 to 54 HP, in increments of 2 HP. + Customer design requirements either High COP or minimum footprint. + Up to 200% connection ratio, allowing cooling to be switched from one side of a building to the other to combat localised heat gains caused by morning or afternoon sunshine.

AIR-CONDITIONING 2006/07 UM R410A - ML4 & MX4 SERIES - INDUSTRIAL 07

DESIGN FLEXIBILITY

UP TO 34% REDUCTION IN OUTDOOR UNITS The VRF MX4 inverter system drastically reduces the space required for installation, making it the most space-economising system in the sector. For example you only need one outdoor unit to obtain 18 HP, unlike the MX3 system, in which two units were necessary.
TOTAL FLEXIBILITY OF AIR CONDITIONING INSTALLATION The indoor cooling /heating capacity of the VRF MX4 inverter system can be extended by adding several indoor units to the existing system, when the outdoor has excess capacity. Indoor units up to 200% of the outdoor unit can be added to cover possible changes in floor layout. The installation can be designed around flexible outdoor unit combinations allowing for maximum operating efficiency (COP) or by the smallest footprint. The maximum 200% connection ratio, allows cooling to be switched from one side of a building to the other to combat localised heat gains caused by morning or afternoon sunshine.

1700 x 300 0.51 mx 300 0.29 m2
EXPANDED CONNECTION CAPACITY The new MX4 allows a massive connection capacity of up to 200% in the unit connection ratio, subject to outdoor and indoor model selection. Where the old MX3 10HP unit could only be connect to 16 indoor units the same capacity MX4 can connect 25 indoor units. This facility allows the switching of cooling / heating to be switched from one side of a building to another. DESIGNED FOR A QUICK INSTALLATION Now there is no need for cranes or hoists to transport the units to outside roofs. The small size of new outdoor units allows them to be transported to the roof by the lift of the building that is to be air-conditioned.

QUICK INSTALLATION

SIMPLIFIED WIRING The two core wiring system makes it possible to connect multiple indoor units to one outdoor unit, thus simplifying the installation. The wiring system has been designed both for communication between indoor and outdoor units and for the centralised control system. A high degree of control can be achieved with a simple wiring operation. Even if you a centralised control system, the only operation required is the connection of the control unit to the Outdoor units. REDUCTION OF SPACE COMPARED TO OTHER TYPES OF INSTALLATION The Urban Multi R410A's single cooling refrigerant circuit system permits major space reduction, since there is no need to allocate specific rooms to the machines in buildings, thus leveraging performance in available space. You are able to select the outdoor configuration dependant on your own requirement, either smallest footprint or High COP, you decide.

HIGHLY RELIABLE

THE HIGHEST PERFORMANCE High performance translates into savings in electricity consumption thanks to greater energy efficiency. This efficiency is due to the fact that since each room is individually controlled, only the rooms that require air-conditioning are heated or cooled. Moreover, thanks to the Inverter technology, the level of air conditioning can be controlled with precision depending on the status of each room. The high COP of our machines is attained using cutting edge technology such as the high efficiency G type compressor, reduced friction loss and specialist oil supply which all contribute to smooth and economical operation. Also the supply to the inverter type outdoor unit stops when in standby mode, when indoor units are turned off via the remote controller. (Reducing standby power by 30%).

The automatic vertical swing moves the discharge fins upwards and downwards for efficient air distribution by the atmosphere. Since the fins can be placed parallel to the ceiling (0 position), it is practically impossible for draughts of air to form.
The installation of the outside air inlet is now made easier, using the new kit that does not require special chambers.

BRANCHES: UNIFIED PIPING
This new system of piping has been designed to facilitate installation so that only 2 or 3 main refrigerant pipes are needed, unlike the systems used to date. Neither are 2- and 3-way check valves required, or anti-ice treatment, oil separators or an air valve. The use of the Branch piping combined with electronic expansion valves makes for a notable reduction in the imbalance of the refrigerant liquid flow between indoor units despite the smaller piping diameter. The joints for these pipes have been designed to reduce installation time, as they are easy to fit. Finally, the Branch pipes optimise refrigerant flow.

PANASONIC URBAN MULTI

WITH EVERY DAY THAT PASSES, PANASONIC MAKES FURTHER PROGRESS IN THE TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT OF ITS URBAN MULTI SYSTEM FOR AIR-CONDITIONING IN LARGE AREAS. PROOF OF THIS IS THE NEW VRF INVERTER R410A SYSTEM, CREATED AND DESIGNED TO CATER TO THE MOST DEMANDING NEEDS OF OUR CLIENTS WHILE OFFERING PLEASANT LIVING AND WORKING CONDITIONS WITHOUT FORGETTING THE ENVIRONMENT. MAINTAINING HARMONY WITH OUR ENVIRONMENT IS ONE OF THE MANKIND'S BASIC GOALS, WHICH IS WHY PANASONIC USES THE NEW R410A GAS, TOTALLY HARMLESS FOR THE OZONE LAYER. PANASONIC INVITES YOU INTO THE NEW ERA IN INDUSTRIAL AIR-CONDITIONING
AIR-CONDITIONING 2005 UM R410A INDUSTRIAL
THE NEW ERA IN INDUSTRIAL AIR-CONDITIONING
NEW URBAN MULTI R410A SYSTEM BY PANASONIC PANASONIC HAS DEVELOPED THE NEW VRF INVERTER SYSTEM, A MAJOR IMPROVEMENT ON THE SYSTEM USED IN RECENT YEARS. THERE ARE FIVE PREMISES WHICH REFLECT THE IMPROVEMENT OF OUR SYSTEM: FLEXIBILITY OF DESIGN, PERFORMANCE, LOW NOISE LEVEL, EASE OF INSTALLATION AND HIGH RELIABILITY. FIVE PREMISES THAT OPEN UP THE DOORS TO THE FUTURE OF INDUSTRIAL AIR-CONDITIONING. PANASONIC IS THE REFERENCE POINT.
TWO POSSIBLE PATHS FOR PANASONIC INDUSTRIAL AIR-CONDITIONING
VRF INVERTER HEAT PUMP It can be used to cool or heat from a single system. Control up to 40 units with just one Outdoor model. A broad range of capacity from 5 to 48 hp, in increments of 2 hp.
VRF WITH HEAT RECOVERY For simultaneous cooling and heating. Control up to 40 units with just one Outdoor model. A broad range of capacity levels, from 8 to 48 hp in increments of 2 hp. Heat recovery is obtained by utilising the heat generated by the indoor units in cooling mode in areas that require heat. The HR unit switches between cooling and heating modes in the system.

DESIGN FLEXIBILITY

UP TO 50% REDUCTION IN OUTDOOR UNITS
The VRF inverter system drastically reduces the space required for installation, making it the most space-economising system in the sector. For example, you only need one outdoor unit to obtain 16 hp, unlike the old system, in which two units were necessary.
TOTAL FLEXIBILITY OF AIR-CONDITIONING INSTALLATION
The indoor cooling/heating capacity of the VRF Inverter system can be extended by adding several indoor units to the existing system, when the outdoor unit has excess capacity. Indoor units of up to 130% of the capacity of the Outdoor unit can be added to cover a possible change in floor layout.

OPERATES ALL YEAR ROUND
Thanks to the combination of the system of 3 pipes and the HR box, the simultaneous cooling and heating functions can respond to individual and group air-conditioning needs. The heat recovery series can automatically select heating or cooling mode according to the relationship between the set temperature and the heat load. The rejected heat generated during cooling is recovered for the heating function, which reduces
power consumption by 20%. A good example of the efficiency of this system is to be found in computing rooms in winter, where heat absorbed in cooling is used to reduce heating demand. This cooling energy is used to cool the computing room via the cooling circuit.

BROAD OPERATING RANGE

Works at outdoor temperatures of up to 20C. The heating function will remain stable indoors even when the temperature outside reaches 20C, thus meeting the user's different needs. Moreover, the cooling function operates within a range of 5C to 43C.

PIPES OF UP TO 150 M

The length of the cooling pipe between the indoor unit and the outdoor unit in a system can be extended up to 150 meters, with a height difference of up to 50 meters between the indoor units and the outdoor unit. These generous limits make it possible to place the outside unit on the roof of a 15-floor building. The maximum height difference between indoor units in the same system may be up to 15 meters, thus covering 4 or 5 floors in the same system.

HIGHLY RELIABLE

THE HIGHEST PERFORMANCE

High performance translates into savings in electricity consumption thanks to greater energy efficiency. This efficiency is due to the fact that since each room is individually controlled, only the rooms that require air-conditioning are heated or cooled. Moreover, thanks to the Inverter technology, the level of air conditioning can be controlled with precision depending on the status of each room. The high COP of our machines is attained using cutting-edge technology, which contributes to smooth and economical operation.

NIGHT-TIME FUNCTION

The Panasonic outdoor units feature 2 operating modes with reduced night-time noise level (-8 dBA). Mode 1: Automatic mode. Selectable in the outdoor PCB. The maximum temperature time is memorised. The silent operating mode will be activated 8 hours after the peak temperature reached during the day. The machine will revert to normal operating mode nine hours later. Mode 2: Personalised Mode. The user can choose silent operating mode activation and deactivation time (An external adapter is required for the outdoor unit, plus a timer).

THE MOST SILENT

To achieve reduced sound level, Panasonic has redesigned the inside elements of its outdoor units and has afforded the system a night-time function.

ANTICORROSIVE TREATMENT

The special anticorrosive treatment of the heat exchanger offers a 6-fold resistance to saline corrosion and/or acid rain. The lower part has a stainless steel plate to afford the unit additional protection.
CONTROL OF THE COMPRESSOR'S START-UP CYCLE
The Urban Controller uses a system that manages the operation of each compressor so as to prolong their life. This cycle control covers a maximum of nine compressors. The start-up sequence order is controlled in a group of outdoor units.

Hydrophilic film Aluminium
START-UP CYCLE Anticorrosive acrylic resin
DOUBLE BACKUP IN OUTDOOR UNITS
The conventional VRF or water systems require an expensive and bulky stand-by unit to prevent an emergency shutdown in the event of a system malfunction. On the other hand, with the UM R410A system the fault only affects one part of the system, not it all. If one of the three compressors of an outdoor unit malfunctions, one of the remaining compressors will start to work in emergency mode. Moreover, if there is a fault in an outdoor unit in a system of more than 18 Hp, the other outdoor units will work in emergency mode until the fault is repaired.

REDUCED REFRIGERANT VOLUME
Reduction in the total amount of refrigerant throughout the circuit. The adoption of the new R410A refrigerant gas, together with the optimisation and reduction of pipe diameters, makes for a major reduction in the volume of the whole circuit.
CLEANER PRODUCTION, GREATER DURABILITY AND RECYCLABLE MATERIALS
As in the whole Panasonic range, the welds used in the electronic plates of the units are lead-free. The bottom plate of the outdoor units is designed to multiply its service life by 6 versus the traditional galvanised bases, whereas the Galbanium steel used to manufacture them is 100% recyclable.

HIGH TECHNOLOGY FOR THE OUTDOOR UNITS
PANASONIC HAS BROUGHT THE LATEST AND VANGUARD TECHNOLOGY INTO THE URBAN MULTI R410A SYSTEM
THE NEW AERODYNAMIC FANS AND COIL GRIDS, E-PASS HEAT EXCHANGER, DC-INVERTER FAN MOTOR AND RELUCTANCE DC SCROLL COMPRESSOR ARE BUT SOME OF THE CHARACTERISTICS THAT MAKE OUR OUTDOOR UNITS THE MOST RELIABLE ONES ON THE MARKET.

INVERTER TECHNOLOGY 1

The outdoor units of the UM R410A have an advanced control based on the cooling load. In this way, using two compressors, one fixed speed and the other inverter, compressor capacity can be controlled step by step if a low-capacity indoor unit is used. The 5 hp model only uses the inverter compressor.
NEW AERODYNAMIC FAN AND COIL GRID 2
These new elements achieve lower noise in large-volume fans, and offers a compact cover design along with the compressor technology.

CENTRALISED CONTROL SYSTEMS
THESE CONTROLS MAY BE INDEPENDENT OR COMBINED; IN THIS LATTER MODALITY, 1 GROUP IS EQUIVALENT TO SEVERAL INDOOR UNITS (UP TO 16) COMBINED, AND 1 AREA, TO SEVERAL MIXED GROUPS. CENTRALISED REMOTE CONTROL IS THE IDEAL SOLUTION IN THE CASE OF LEASED COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS WHICH MAY HAVE DIFFERENT OCCUPANCY RATES, SINCE THE INDOOR UNITS CAN BE DISTRIBUTED IN GROUPS BY LESSEE (DISTRIBUTION BY AREAS). THE LESSEE CAN CONFIGURE THE PROGRAMME AND THE OPERATING CONDITIONS USING THE TIMER AND EASILY RESTART THE CONTROL ACCORDING TO THE DIFFERENT NEEDS.
